I can only comment on the bar area, since I just stopped in for a quick couple beers and did not check out the mini-golf or food. However, I liked the atmosphere of Libertee Grounds and have made a note to myself to come back when I have more time to spend. The beer selection here is quite good. I had the Kenwood Original and it was good enough for seconds. If you're a beer person, this is a great place to visit. The bartender was also very friendly and helpful, and I wished I'd had more time to spend here. Will be back. read more

The Libertee grounds if in the area is a must stop! I'm not sure if it's only seasonal ( unlikely) but the downstairs has an entire mini golf course, and it's decorated beautifully. We purchased our tickets online which with each ticket you receive a souvenir class along with one drink to go inside to begin your night. The one member of staff was so attentive and informative I really enjoyed his organization/ presentation skills. I even made sure to tell him! As for the food, I'm not going to lie I was a bit disappointed. We visited on a Thursday evening, it wasn't extremely busy but busy enough and we do wait a while for our food, and mine came out about 10min before my friends did which just isn't ideal. The food overall once it did arrive was pretty unsatisfying honestly. I wanted to really enjoy it because it's just a cool take, but I think the menu items may need a little reworking is all. If I lived in the area I'd 100% get the membership. 1) I'm always skeptical about Asian fusion food but they delivered (in what I ordered, can't speak for the others) esp for the price. I wish I took a picture of the cheesy bread, but that was great as well! We played 9 holes on the downstairs course. We asked what the difference was between the courses, and were told mostly just the imagery. Came here for mini golf with my gf. Wanted to make a reservation for golf, but apparently you can only make a reservation for food. It's a little deceiving online as they make it seem like you can make a mini golf reservation only if you make a dinner reservation. I got the Lamb Kheema Cheesesteak ($17) to fulfill my Philly cheesesteak cravings. It's a great twist with the Indian Lamb Kheema subbing in for the filling typically found in an American cheesesteak. Smells great and tastes great, although it can get a bit messy. Came with a side of fries. My gf ordered the Tandoori Chicken Quesadilla ($15). Another unique mix for the Tex-Mex quesadilla with the South Asian Tandoori Chicken. Loved the crispiness of the tortilla, the unique tastes, and sauces that comes with it. After dinner, we got onto what we originally came here for. Mini golf in their lower level of the restaurant and is $10 per person. It was really crowded when we started around 8PM. It's 9 holes, which can go by quickly if it's just the two of you. We were doing a lot of waiting because there were a lot of group of 4 ahead of us. Feel free to replay the hole and not feel pressured by the group behind you if you find yourself waiting. If you're okay with waiting, there's darts, corn hole, and other game scattered around the courses while you wait. There's an entire broad game area if mini golf is not your thing or if you're just looking for a chill place to hang out and have a few drinks. This'll be my fourth or fifth time being here. Once for the mini-golf on the lower level for my birthday few years back, and the others were for drinks/food with friends. It's always a great time, my go-to is the lamb kheema cheesesteak which is amazing! The chicken sandwich is also very good too, I honestly don't think they have any to complain about. Went to this place Sunday Dec 20th, with a group of friends for our yearly Christmas luncheon. The music was very loud & hard rock/heavy metal like, one of my friends asked the manager if he could change the playlist. He told her no, no explanation. "I am the general manager". I said oh, OK, and what's your name? Again negative energy he says his name is Norm. He then says "so what am I supposed to do if someone from downstairs comes up and says they don't like the music that you like?" I said you tell them the same thing. You told me that you pick the station. He didn't respond. He just walked away. A few minutes later we were all gathered around the bar, ordering/waiting food and drinks, he asked me. Libertee Grounds is part restaurant/bar, part indoor mini golf course, part game cafe - in other words, a TON of fun! The restaurant/bar portion is already pretty great, with a big but affordable selection of local beers and some actually delicious Asian fusion bites (I believe the owners are of Asian descent, so the food sets itself apart from typical bar fare as well as well as other poorly-executed "fusion" I've seen). I still think about the spicy chicken sandwich, which is a HUGE crunchy piece of chicken with really authentic Sichuan flavors that reminded me of Chinese restaurants from my childhood. Downstairs is the mini golf course, which isn't too big but still really fun especially if you had some drinks upstairs first. Would recommend a reservation so you don't end up having to wait too long to get access! There are also some tables and board games to keep the night going, including a giant Jenga set that kept my friends and I occupied for way too long. Libertee Grounds is so much more than a super cool mini golf spot. It is a destination for great local beer, incredibly delicious good, and the best Philly vibes of all time. To say I am obsessed would be an understatement. My boyfriend and I have been talking about how we have wanted to check out LG since it opened. This week I decided it was enough talk, it was time to plan our trip. I was excited to see plenty of indoor and outdoor reservations available for Wednesday night, so I booked it immediately. A heads up if you are also looking to stop by on a Wednesday for food, drinks, and mini golf - they have a mini golf league that plays from 6:30-8:30 on Wednesday nights, so you won't be able to get a tee time until afterwards. We arrived at 7 PM, placed our order and then ran downstairs to put our name on the list so we could be the first tee time once the mini golf opened back up again. To eat, we tried the Kimchi Mac and Cheese bites and both types of cheesesteaks. We were also brought a tray of the three most delicious dipping sauces I have ever tried, if I could buy bottles of them, I would. Everything had so much flavor! I would come back to just eat. We all agreed that the Kimchi Mac and Cheese bites were some of the best we've ever had. While some mac and cheese bites can be dry, these were so perfectly creamy and crispy at the same time. My favorite of the cheesesteaks was the lamb version, which shocked me because I often find lamb to be too gamey. It was nice to see they have quite a few vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options on their menu. Our service was very attentive and professional. Once the league had cleared out in the downstairs mini golf space, our server let us know that it might be a good time to get the check and head down, so we did! The downstairs space is beautiful and so well done. There are 9 holes and a bar downstairs. Each hole has cupholders for your glass, which was such a nice touch. Spenser at the bar/check-in space was very helpful in explaining all of their rules, pointing out that they had a small basketball hoop set up for tie breakers. We had a great evening and I can't wait to return! It is a great spot to hang with friends for a few hours, which is so rare to find these days. I must say me and my girlfriend had a great 1st time experience and will definitely have another date here in the future. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming even on busy days, which they are pretty much all the time on the weekends. When we arrived, the staff checked our vaccination cards and asked if we had a reservation (which we did). It was a beautiful night since the weather hadn't gotten too cold yet and the courtyard is lit up by hanging lights. Unexpected fun space and creative menu. This is a low-key, no-frills restaurant with two 9-hole miniature golf courses. One downstairs that has a fun design that you don't realize what it is unless you view it from above on the stairs. I won't spoil it for those who haven't been there. The upstairs back 9 is very artsy and pays tribute to the many iconic Philly treasures, from the soft pretzel and the greased lamppost poles. It's hilarious and makes the round of mini-golf fun and enjoyable for all. Getting back to the restaurant. Like I said the menu was creative, service was friendly and very accommodating the dairy-free eater in our group. Every one raved about the lamb keema cheesesteak sandwich, which 3 of us ordered. What the menu nor the waitress informed us about was that the heat level of the spices in the lamb was off the Scoville Heat Unit scale. All 3 of us took one bite and couldn't speak or get enough water down to put the fire out in our mouths. We tried another bite or two, but it was not enjoyable.
