I was starting to question my own judgement in terms of expectations - was I asking too much of a potential service provider to answer specific questions regarding the services they provide? UHH NO! Because A Walk In The Park had no problem answering them, plus some. I received an email back from Julie within 24 hours, and it was very well detailed and made me feel so much better about everything. And no, it's NOT typical for a dog walking co to refuse questions related to the business they run. I've been in touch with a few other people & walkers, and the first one was the ONLY one that freaked out. Just goes to show, if you get a bad feeling from one, move on to another.

They do their best to drop off a dry and clean dog, but for a long-haired collie in North Vancouver that's not an easy task. From the intial intake with Ashley and run-in's with a couple of their walkers Jack and Kelsey, it's clear that everyone on the team loves your dog like their own, is professional and are genuinely very sweet people. We hadn't realized it but our dog had Kennel cough, which meant he couldn't go on the scheduled walk as its very contagious, but he was let into to the yard for business etc. before being returned inside. I am very pleased with their protocols for this situation and similarly how they groups dogs for abilities and behavior. If you're in need of a team of caring, professional dog walkers, where you don't have to worry about what's happening in the afternoon, I would whole heartedly recommend them.

We were absolutely delighted with Sweet Pea and Me, and so was Lucky! Dog-walker extraordinaire Sara Bartlett is one of the most dedicated, professional business owners we've ever met. She picked up Lucky during our long work days, took her to the beach for a swim, and returned her tired, happy and smelling like mangoes (she cleans the dogs after their swims with special grooming spray). Since Lucky is an older dog, Sara was very sensitive to her needs, and made sure that she rested when she got tired. Lucky seemed to really like Sara, and we felt comfortable leaving her in Sara's capable hands since she has a pet first aid certificate and is bonded and insured. For us humans, Sweet Pea and Me is a pleasure to deal with. All of our phone calls, emails, appointment requests and text messages were answered promptly. Sara sent us frequent texts and photos during her walks, notifying us of when Lucky was picked up, when she was returned, and how she was doing. Not only that, but every day after her walk, Sara left a cute little paper bag filled with a different flavour of truly home-made, organic dog cookies which Lucky thought were delicious.
