New Vietnamese pho restaurant in Central Richmond. We went to have lunch today and the food are…read morepretty good. We ordered two bowls of noodle and both of them were delicious with good portion. D1 Special mixed beef noodle soup has a lot of beef in it and the soup base suits the cold days. We also order fried chicken wings and Vietnamese sub with grilled lemongrass chicken. We like the sub a lot. They toasted the bun which makes the bread crispy and soft. The chicken also juicy and seasoned well which paired with pickled vegetable. Overall, not bad. We will come back to try other items next time.

My family wanted to eat pho and I decided to go on yelp to be adventurous and try a new pho place…read more Now that I've eaten here, I write this in hopes that you won't make the same mistake. I had the "spicy" pork and beef thick noodle soup. The thick noodle had a WEIRD texture and wasn't very slurpable. It was difficult to pick up and I ended up splattering a lot. :/ (I guess that's not on the restaurant but still...wasn't easy to eat). Also, the spicy soup wasn't very spicy....nor was it hot! It was quite lukewarm and flavourless. I was afraid I'd get food poisoning because the meat wasn't cooking very well. Now, despite the soup being warm, the noodles of my companions were overcooked and brittle. :(. This restaurant used to be a vegan restaurant which replaced pho viet that used to be here (my childhood go-to pho place). Do not be deceived. It ain't no pho viet. Oh, we also ordered cha gio. Wasn't superb. The wrap was a bit undercooked. Overall, just skip this place. I left feeling like I ended up eating just to eat when y'all know the point of eating out is to enjoy the food...this was not enjoyable. On the way in, I picked up a stamp card with high hopes that I would use it. Needless to say, I left it on the table on my way out. But hey...maybe their bahn mis are good??

Ordered the Chiayi chicken rice - comes with the chicken, half a marinated egg, few pieces of marinated tofu, some pickle slices, some cucumber slices. And the white rice of course. Guy at the counter was nice. I place my order and then he goes to make it. I hear lots of microwaving - already a bad sign. The rice must not sell well - it was full of old dry rice. The chicken was ok but very small portion. the accompaniments were pretty standard. The dish also took forever to prepare somehow, especially when there is literally NOBODY else waiting. This place was literally empty. Overall the dish was just not great. Seems like the product of a struggling business trying to stay afloat. The entire mini mall was essentially dead - not sure how anything here survives tbh. The place is really run-down and dingy as well, for those who have not been to this market before. i wont be back.

This Korean Restaurant came with a high recommendation from our Host's friend while visiting BC…read more Our Host was not familiar with Korean food and left the ordering up to me for everyone to enjoy! They had a great variety, I ordered the Spicy Tofu Soup, LA Kalbi, Japchae, and Bossom to share. Others ordered individual Bibimbaps that came with several garnishes. Loved that they served complementary tea. It wasn't too long that our order was brought one by one, served hot and delicious! Our Host was very impressed and now knows what to order for next time. Place was clean, fast service. Special shout out to Audrey and Olivia for a wonderful dining experience! Highly recommend if ever in the Langley area!

We got the army stew (Budae jjigae) to share plus an order of Korean fried chicken. The staff recommended that when we asked what RO order for an appetizer or side. She said the fried chicken is the popular item. The soy garlic chicken was delicious. I like the army stew which is a guilty pleasure as it contains mostly processed meat like spam and sausage and a slice of American cheese and instant noodle. My friend never tried it before and while she liked the soup, she didn't like the processed stuff. She mostly had the tofu and rice cakes in there. The place was quite busy when we we were there on a Tuesday night. I guess it is a popular spot in the area. Parking is available out front.

I called to make reservations a couple days before for lunch, just in case since we had a group of 7 people. They do have an automatic gratuity charge for large group of guests just FYI. The plaza where Dalbit Masil is located is a fair size, but it does seem that parking could get full. We were kindly greeted and seated. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and they even have those push buttons if you do need anything. But we never had to use it, because we were well taken care of. What we ordered: Chicken Cutlet with Curry $22 Shrimp & Fish Cutlet with Curry $22 DIY Rice Ball $13 Bossam $40 (I had won few items via a contest) Beef Tendon & Fish Cake Soup Clam Bibimbap Crispy Yukjeon Vanmak Chestnut Rice Wine Was there a lot of food? Yes! Did we order too much? Also yes. Did we have leftovers? Again, yes. But no regrets! The portion size of each dish were great for sharing! Fantastic if you have a large group and want to try multiple items. My family loved everything! My brother-in-law loved how much seafood (lots of clams and muscles) was in the Beef Tendon & Fish Cake soup. My niece was super happy with the DIY Rice Balls. All of us loved the Curry with the Katsu. The Bossam was so soft and melt in your mouth! We loved all the accompaniments (kimchi, banchans, ect) that came with each dish. The balance of the flavours really hit perfectly! I can't thank Dalbit Masil enough for such a great meal! If you're in the area do go and try Dalbit Masil. You'll be in for a surprise how friendly the staff are, the size of their portions and how full you'll be afterwords. And if you're need a caffeine pick-me-up, go next door with you're receipt from Dalbit Masil to Cafe Masil (same owner) they'll give you 10% off your drink order.
