I have been shopping at Happy Feet Plus for 10+ years. I normally go to a different location and have always been extremely happy with my experience at the other location, well I recently visited this location and Isaac was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. When I returned a second time, a different older employee (about 5'8" with a buzz cut) was extremely rude. Didn't give me his name, but made me feel so uncomfortable. Unethical business practices! Salesman oversold me by saying the Kenkoh footwear has a lifetime warranty. The footwear broke while I was on vacation and when I tried to resolve the issue, the store manager told me that the store changed ownership and there is no record of my purchase. BEWARE!!! Disappointed! I have bought many pairs of kenkoh flip flops over the years from this store and even had my last pair shipped to GA where I relocated! The quality has been declining and I have to speak up. My recent pair was purchased in 2/2024 and 9 months later they have worn down. I only where them inside...Called to complain and the clerk spoke with the owner I think and the offer was 15% off of a new pair. Really. No thanks. I got in touch with the store very quickly and they exchanged the size I was sold by a previous employee who has not worked there for sometime, I highly recommend the store they have great customer service and the end of visual I had problems with is no longer employed there. Avoid this company or accept their unfair and deceptive return policy. Sure, you have 30 days to return the shoes but you only if they are "UNWORN"!?!! Who buys shoes and doesn't wear them? They salesman, Stu (rude) said their return policy says you need to wear the shoes inside. If you wear them outside then you can't return them. Stu then claimed it said this on their return policy that happened to be hanging behind him on the wall. I showed Stu because I can read that their return policy says nothing about wearing shoes inside!? And I told Stu "if we wore the shoes inside then they aren't unworn are they?" This one stumped Stu. I asked for the District Manager's contact info and I guess that's a secret because Stu said "oh we can't give you that information." I filed a complaint this morning with the Florida Attorney General's office as this return policy is clearly crazy. I would like a Judge in court to ask someone from Happy Feet how many people buy shoes and don't wear them so they could return them? I'm sure the answer would be amazing and amusing just like my conversation with Stu. read more

I wear Kenkoh sandals and flip-flops a bit expensive, but I have a bad back and they are worth it.

Vionics, Taos, Dansko, Klogs, Kenloh, and Birkenstock make up most of the shoe stock. The bottom line is these shoes all promote healthy feet. Never go cheap when it involves your feet! As a Runner & a Triathlete, I need my feet and legs to be injury free. This was my first visit and I couldn't believe the sales tables reflecting up to $50 discount! The staff was most friendly and helpful! Walked out with two pairs of Vionics and saved $100! End Game! I am (forgive me for this) constantly happy when I leave this store, whether or not I purchase shoes on that visit, because I am always treated with friendly courtesy. Also the staff know their shoes! They know the brands they carry and will recommend a particular brand or two, if necessary, depending on my needs. I love Berkinstocks and have been wearing that brand for over twenty years. Happy Feet always has a good selection on hand, will check with other locations if their store doesn't have my size - and they are also online. But I recommend stopping by the Clearwater store for personal attention. They have layaway, which I have availed myself of from time to time. I have purchased lovely hand-painted purses here. They have good sales and its worth your while to stop in to see what's on sale because a style is discontinued or the season is over. I have gotten some great deals that way. I have over 40 pair of shoes (my weakness) and am able to wear most of them all day because they are quality brands, like the ones I have purchased at Happy Feet Plus. I steered my partner to this store and he has two pair of shoes now that he is very pleased with. They are stylish, have worn very well - and he's rough on shoes - and are comfortable. First I seen all the positive reviews about this location and Roger and I'm happy everyone had a amazing experience to share. Well my first visit there was with Roger and I learned so much and was excited to try everything he suggested to help my hurting feet after $456.00 later I was on my way to happy feet again. Well after 2 weeks or more I was still in pain and was reaching out to Roger about my concerns and I thought I needed to go to the foot doctor and get to the bottom of the foot pain. Second after spending $456.00 Roger stated that if I wasn't happy no problem come back in and would return them. My son and I went back and Roger was behind the counter looked up didn't even speak to me I was returning $165.00 which is a lot of money during this time took my receipt still didn't say a word handed me back the receipt and when we were walking away he said you'll regret your return REALLY my son said to me wow that was rude to say and how very unprofessional. I contacted Patrick( who's the district manager)the corporate location in Largo I've left message with staff and also voice messages for 2 weeks and still no return call back. Very disappointing to think it's really about how much you can sell someone and not about the poor customer service you get when you have a return. Trust me I understand their suggesting how to relieve your foot pain their not a doctor. But they sure are your best friend when your spending money they should treat you the same no matter if your spending money or returning. Went in to buy danskos . They didn't have what I wanted . I was willing to look at a comparable product but, the older woman who was helping me seemed annoyed by my presence and went to go help someone else. I went home and purchased them directly from dansko. I would suggest you do the same. Nordstrom carries dansko and they have great customer service. read more

I agree with the other reviewers. The staff is rude and seems annoyed when they are asked for help...even when there is no one else in the store. I needed an every day sandal to run errands that had metatarsal support. They showed me this awful looking Kenkoh. UGLY! I'd be embarrassed to wear the shoe! So I asked to look at Birkenstock and Mephisto, and they guy said, "So you're really not looking for a great shoe, more like a fashion sandal." I'm sorry, but at $140...pretty sure Mephisto is a GREAT shoe. Never again. read more

My FEET are not happy. After being told by Barbara that the sandals called Allrounder by Mephisto could be re-soled I paid over $200.00 dollars. When my Allrounder's needed to be re-soled I called Happy Feet and was given the number of the company they used for resoling only to be told that the Allrounder by Mephisto could not be re-soled. When I confronted Barbara she told me the manufacturer lead her to believe the Allrounder by Mephisto was re-sole-able. I was lied to by Happy Feet. On Oct 6 2012 what they offered was 25% off if I bought another pair. What a con job using deceptive and false advertising. Save your money and find a different store to buy from. The shoes may not be beautiful but they've helped with foot pain and they last a long time. I got a pair in 2013 and the only hole is the one in the back where my heel rubs against the fabric. I just put duck tape on it and it's still good. I should also mention I'm always on my feet. My roommate has plantar fasciits and nerve damage in her feet so this place really accommodates to her needs. The staff was nice and helped measure her feet as needed. They are a bit expensive for how the shoe looks but it's worth it in the long for your feet. read more
