Amazing customer service! The knowledge about liquors was very impressive and helpful. They offer a membership card (kind of) that allows you to get stamps until your card is filled. I can remember if it's something free or a discount but I loved the idea for a wine/liquor store. It's not that large but it's very well organized inside. The two star loss is real and I don't have a choice in this. I just spent over $100 on the store l, I went out of my way to support this store. I was just downtown a rock the street from the Brooklyn Wine Exchange and said to myself "No go to happy cork" I can't anymore . 1. I know it's Rona season however you can smile with your eyes. The young lady today was not the happiest and believe me you I understand but.... you have a job and I've been furloughed. 2. When I asked her questions I felt like I was a bother so..... nope 3. And the worst of all... I left my loyalty card at home...ok can I have another one. She give me one punch. For $100??? Are you kidding me. With a straight face she said " you only get one per purchase" OTAY.... no problem and when I want to use the card for my free bottle it's a $10 bottle when I spend an average of $40 per visit. I'm going back to Brooklyn Wine Exchange. Hell at least I get an attitude, Ignored but, great selection and good prices. Happy Cork was beyond impressive! The owners, sommelier and hostess were all welcoming and knowledgable. I had a fantastic Cattelan Grenache and a mineral based New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc during the tasting...plus a spicy gin shot ...whoa! I left with a delicious Sparkling Rose, a Vinho Verde, an organic Prosecco that will be promptly mixed with St. Germain when I get home....and all at great prices, might I add. The woman working today was so sweet! Even the one other customer that was allowed near me (I appreciate the covid rules) was so sweet. I'm 9 months pregnant and they both offered to carry my bags to my car for me. I've been a very happy repeat customer. My orders have always arrived on time and always come with a handwritten thank you card. I had an issue with my latest delivery where the driver left before I could get downstairs. I called Happy Cork to have my order re-delivered and their response was courteous and quick. I went to the soft opening of Happy Cork on a snowy day in NYC. Despite the weather, it was easy to get to, just a couple minutes walking from Ralph Ave (C train) stop. Inside the store is warm, welcoming and very neat. With its mellow ambiance and exquisite artwork made with bottle corks, this liquor shop is very intriguing. There was a wine tasting with 5 different wines. The owner and her staff showed knowledge of their products which is a huge plus. I left happily with my purchase of a St. Lucian rum and Rosé champagne. Will definitely be back for more goodies. A++ read more

I passed this place approximately 4 times within a month and I kept saying I'm going to stop in there one day going to stop in there one day so today was the day I stopped in. I was greeted by very bubbly, personable and knowledgeable young lady who suggested a wine for me that was a blend, Merlot. It'll be the first time I tried this bottle but she insured me that I would like it. So I'm definitely going to let it roll back on my taste buds and I hope she's correct. I really like the spot acquaint if one can really say that about such a spot then quaint it is. It's in the right neighborhood. I think people should learn about wines and how they're made and how they are Blended. I was informed that there are taste test there I believe it's on Friday I was just so caught up in b wine that I was going to have later on it probably did not register when she told me twice when the wine tasting date was. But for sure there was rum available today for tasting. So that makes me believe it is Friday. Nonetheless I hope those of you who read my comments will certainly stop by happy cork and ask for what makes your taste buds dance and they might have something here for you. Because they certainly do have a lot of wines. And the young lady she knows her wines every last bottle that was on display today she said at a point in time she has tasted everyone she markets now that's saying something that's saying you know your products.
