I've purchased from Happy Cork in the past and was satisfied but was very disappointed in their event coordination recently. They held a Prosecco tasting with Issa Rae that was disorganized and poorly orchestrated. They seemingly sold way more tickets than the small venue (Happy Buds) could hold, as the garden was packed tightly with the crowd spilling over into the front and rest of the shop. Aside from that discomfort, they mentioned buying signed bottles in the beginning but didn't explain that this would be the last opportunity of the night to purchase one to potentially meet Issa. I planned to do so later in the evening. So what was promoted as a two-hour event was really just patrons waiting over a half hour on line to then hear the guest speak for 2 minutes and promptly be removed from the venue, as the event was over. Even friends that purchased a bottle in the beginning, didn't experience much. Unacceptable. read more

One of my favorite wine stops. Staff is always happy and enthusiastic about products offered, and customer service. I appreciate their app which allows me to grab and go, as much as I enjoy in store recommendations of new goods, like the wine popcorn (yes I said wine popcorn). I highly recommend the Happy Cork! read more

The service here has been stellar and its been worth the journey to buy wine from here. Best part of all this shop is black owned and supports many black owned wineries as well. They have a diverse array of different wines and liquor to choose from. Its always a pleasure to stop in from time to time. Go here next time you need wine! read more

Amazing customer service! The knowledge about liquors was very impressive and helpful. They offer a membership card (kind of) that allows you to get stamps until your card is filled. I can remember if it's something free or a discount but I loved the idea for a wine/liquor store. It's not that large but it's very well organized inside. Overall I do suggest Happy Cork over the more "traditional" liquor stores in the area. read more

I made an order for two different wines to be delivered.. I only received one. I called them and informed of this and the person who picked up told me they've been out of stock for four months! You would think someone would call the customer and tell them !! I will never order from them again! I shouldn't have to discover this during delivery! read more

I am very pleased with the service here! I ordered a Black-owned/created sparkling wine via another website distributor. However, my order was sent to distributed by Happy Cork. The two star loss is real and I don't have a choice in this. I just spent over $100 on the store l, I went out of my way to support this store. I was just downtown a rock the street from the Brooklyn Wine Exchange and said to myself "No go to happy cork" I can't anymore . 1. I know it's Rona season however you can smile with your eyes. The young lady today was not the happiest and believe me you I understand but.... you have a job and I've been furloughed. 2. When I asked her questions I felt like I was a bother so..... nope 3. And the worst of all... I left my loyalty card at home...ok can I have another one. She give me one punch. For $100??? Are you kidding me. With a straight face she said " you only get one per purchase" OTAY.... no problem and when I want to use the card for my free bottle it's a $10 bottle when I spend an average of $40 per visit. I'm going back to Brooklyn Wine Exchange. Hell at least I get an attitude, Ignored but, great selection and good prices. Promptly the OWNER posted on here so they have gone up another star! read more

The woman working today was so sweet! Even the one other customer that was allowed near me (I appreciate the covid rules) was so sweet. I'm 9 months pregnant and they both offered to carry my bags to my car for me. I can't drink but I was happy they had the Black Girl Magic wine in stock and I had to support a Black owned business and a Black owned brand. The woman working there told me the bottles have been flying off the shelf and she is happily restocking so please get there and show support! The store was also spotless! Another plus! read more

I am always nervous to go into wine and spirit shops because of my lack of knowledge. The woman working was so comforting and knowledgeable about the selection. She was not trying to upsell or pressure me into a sale but rather helping me figure out exactly what would work best for me and my party. Had such an amazing experience that we came back several times and bought wine for friends and family. Happy Cork was recommended to me by a friend who had been using their app for delivery (the selections, rewards program, and ease of use deserve a 5-star rating as well). I've been a very happy repeat customer. My orders have always arrived on time and always come with a handwritten thank you card. I had an issue with my latest delivery where the driver left before I could get downstairs. I called Happy Cork to have my order re-delivered and their response was courteous and quick. One of the owners made the delivery himself! I still haven't been to the shop but am looking forward to perusing their offerings as they are very well selected. I went to the soft opening of Happy Cork on a snowy day in NYC. Despite the weather, it was easy to get to, just a couple minutes walking from Ralph Ave (C train) stop. Inside the store is warm, welcoming and very neat. With its mellow ambiance and exquisite artwork made with bottle corks, this liquor shop is very intriguing. There was a wine tasting with 5 different wines. The owner and her staff showed knowledge of their products which is a huge plus. I left happily with my purchase of a St. Lucian rum and Rosé champagne. Will definitely be back for more goodies. A++ read more

I passed this place approximately 4 times within a month and I kept saying I'm going to stop in there one day going to stop in there one day so today was the day I stopped in. I was greeted by very bubbly, personable and knowledgeable young lady who suggested a wine for me that was a blend, Merlot. It'll be the first time I tried this bottle but she insured me that I would like it. So I'm definitely going to let it roll back on my taste buds and I hope she's correct. I really like the spot acquaint if one can really say that about such a spot then quaint it is. It's in the right neighborhood. I think people should learn about wines and how they're made and how they are Blended. I was informed that there are taste test there I believe it's on Friday I was just so caught up in b wine that I was going to have later on it probably did not register when she told me twice when the wine tasting date was. But for sure there was rum available today for tasting. So that makes me believe it is Friday. Nonetheless I hope those of you who read my comments will certainly stop by happy cork and ask for what makes your taste buds dance and they might have something here for you. Because they certainly do have a lot of wines. And the young lady she knows her wines every last bottle that was on display today she said at a point in time she has tasted everyone she markets now that's saying something that's saying you know your products. I like doing business with people who know their products. So I'll be pop in the court in a few minutes. Please go check it out just what the neighborhood really really really need it. Kudos to you happy cork read more

Happy to be writing this review for a place filled with literal infectious , effervescent spirits and I'm not just talking about the liquor. The owners Sunshine and Remo are a ray of positive light and Chanel, the shop's sommelier is a gem.. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and passion into the construction of the shop because there are so many unique decorative details and the wine selections are straight fuego.. My motto in life is to operate in spaces where everything is for us by us.. The owners are black and the wines are grown by black vintners Need I say more.. read more
