When I enter Eclectic, I get wine cellar vibes. It's really dark inside and feels sort of ancient. It's not a bad vibe. I only purchase wine here, nothing harder because I choose to make my strong alcohol purchases at liquor warehouses on the cheap. Eclectic offers a large selection of wines, including the tried and true standard brands like Robert Mondavi and Chateau St. Michelle. Then, they've got the cooler, newer brands like 19 Crimes and Black Girl Magic. I'm a big Prosecco drinker and Eclectic has several labels. La Marca and Mionetto are my current sips. Prices are very reasonable. I do wish that the staff was more engaging and attentive. Honestly, the one or two employees that are avaliable while you're at Eclectic don't even acknowledge your presence until you're at the counter, ready to pay. They have tastings on occasion. I might pop in for one on a nice day.

This spacious liquor in Bed Stuy has a lot to offer. They are opened from 11am -10pm M-Th 11am--11pm afro-Sat. Sun 12pm-6pm. This shop has wide selection of wines and liquors, wine bag holders, and nips. I'm happy this a liquor store you can walk into. This is black owned by several people. One of the owners was there when I shopped and he was so friendly ( I think his name was Jeff ). He also gave suggestions. I was able to get the McBride Sisters wine as present here. (Black owned wine company). I will gladly come back whenever I'm in the area or need to do a big liquor haul. Much success to this business.

Black owned business y'all- what more can I say! Prices are slightly higher than your average liquor store but not by much $5-8 dollars more. The owner is very down to earth and there's a wide variety of alcohol to select from. If you're in the neighborhood give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah, parking is scarce but what do you expect from a place on fulton street? Lol

It has a 90s bar flair with about 4 booths, and 3 tables. Theres more seating in the back outdoor but it was closed, so its very spacious but was full bc of the holiday. I shared the mezcal mai tai which was super strong and tried my friends' tequila swizzle which was lighter. I then opted to get the apple sangaree, I highly recommend this drink it was too good. Happy hour is 4-7 Monday to Friday btw. You get a $1 off of drinks (normally $12-14) or $11 frozen, sangrias and daiquiris.

Nonetheless, I made the most of it. I was surprised by how packed the place was despite the tropical storm outside. I was immediately greeted, as I arrived before my two friends. I decided to have a painkiller while I waited for them and a table to possibly open up (one finally did after about an hour) the staffers here were awesome. Very friendly, cordial and eager to answer any and all questions. The drinks were cool, too. I had both a Painkiller and Mai Tai; my sole complaint was the nachos, they were horrible. My final regret was the weather, which prevented us from sitting out back. However, I'd definitely return here before the summer is out!

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

As I said before, this is a community spot. Everyone here is relaxed, having a long, leisurely, European style meal. I had a small board, chef's choice. I requested a fromage board, but got a charcuterie board . . . and that's okay, as I was lucky enough to get some tasty prosciutto. The cheeses ranged from chunky and savory to creamy to tangy. Went great with the honey and French bread. Most menu cocktails are average, but there is an "off the menu" selection you can ask for (mostly bourbon based, owner/bar tender creations). I enjoyed working with my server to get try some more unique choices. Between the charcuterie board, the bourbon drinks, and the boeuf bourguignon, the meal was great. I will say the boeuf bourguignon wasn't quite as wowing as last time . . . no pearl onions or carrots . . . but still good. I'm pretty sure the menu has changed or is maybe smaller. But no matter . . . the mood and the welcoming atmosphere and lack of crowds makes up for this. I think I might return and try the French onion soup. I'm sure it's killer.

Our waitress came over to check on us numerous times throughout dinner. The foie gras was under seasoned and didn't taste like much of anything. Both the beef and chicken were very homey dishes but yet again, under seasoned. The mashed potatoes could use more butter and some salt in the food would've made all the difference. The place itself is pretty cute with a lot of local artwork. We probably won't be back
