    Toad crossing on Fawn Drive
    Carrie H.

Stayed here with my kids for 4 days in the Fawn cabin. It was delightful! The cabin was huge, clean, and well furnished. We had a great view of wildlife - we saw a bear, a deer, and a fox, all from our porch! They do have WiFi, but the Fawn Cabin is in a quiet corner of the property a bit too far away from the routers, so you have to walk down to the "Internet Cafe" (set of benches near the office and playground) to access the internet. It was nice to have a break from the outside world! One afternoon I went to get something out of the freezer and realized everything had melted - the freezer was broken! We popped down to the office to let them know as we were on our way out, and by the time we got back there was already a replacement fridge in place with all our food nicely placed inside! This place is the best. The owners and everyone who works here are so sweet and caring! The views are beautiful. The area is so peaceful. I can't wait to go back!

Electrical box ... not sure... it all just seemed unsafe

The employees gripe to guests about other employees The water pressure is never ok Tree cutting seems less than safe. You pay for showers whether or not they work. It's ok to chase bears at this campground It's ok to feed the bears at this campground It's also ok to shoot bears after encouraging engagement at this campground. It's ok to be stupid drunk at this campground The electrical is a maybe. The person who plays with it out there... probably not qualified. The WiFi is a joke. If something is broken and it costs more than a minimum wage employee to repair it with whatever is lying around .... it stays broken. The trash they just throw in to beautiful woods is part of the scenery on a trail they boast about. If your going for the location - this is the place, just know partying is tolerated so star gazing or even hearing a cricket will be impossible. That was my experience March 2020- August 2020

Q: Can I use a flag as decoration, such as a tablecloth? A: the Veterans of Foreign Wars advise that no, you can't use an American flag as decoration. They recommend using a "bunting" as decoration, with the blue stripe at the top (not the red stripe). If you want to have a patriotic tablecloth, the flag authorities advise using a patriotic-print tablecloth, not an actual flag, which would be considered disrespectful, as would using an American flag as drapery or bedding. Just letting you know as a former federal employee, the son of a veteran, son-in-law of a veteran, and family member of many who have fought and died for this country.

We had a great time and will rent a cabin again in the future. Canons are clean along with the pool. Staff was great. No complaints.

We stayed in the Dun' Rov'n cabin at Happy Acres Resort for the weekend. The cabin had 5 bedrooms and 1 full bath as well as a nice front porch, campfire site, and full kitchen. The cabin was nice and clean when we arrived, however I do feel it could use some serious updating! The kitchen appliances were so old they posed a fire hazard, and their were magazines on our table from the year 2000! I do realize that it is camping, but a bit of updating is never a bad thing. There was a television, but it would have been nice to have a VCR or DVD player to put movies on for the kids. Also, the beds were horrible! I sat down on my daughter's bed to give her a kiss goodnight and the whole leg of the bed folded up under us!! We did have a chance to order food from the restaurant which was pretty good, and you must have the Perry's ice cream. It was delicious! All and all, it was a nice weekend with the kids away from home. If you are expecting an enjoyable camping experience, Happy Acres delivers just that with no frills :)

Looking at the first three sites in the circle from site #4 - picnic tables and fire pits for each but no privacy in the circle

However, to be fair, up until that one time, we always rented a cabin and it was always a fun and peaceful week.

This ideal location provides a nice tranquil environment with opportunities for active adventures. It had been several years since our last stay at PJC, but the new owners have done amazing improvements and upgrades to many areas of the campground which are greatly appreciated. Everyone we interacted with (owners/employees) were friendly and gave us the feeling that they were glad we chose to stay with them. There are a variety of camping options from season sites, primitive sites, cabins, glamping tents, and RV hook-ups for water and electric (along the creek). We stated in one of the water/electric hook-up sites along the creek, which was wonderful. Very flat and larger than average in size, which was nice not being on top of your neighbor. Water pressure was very good and the WIFI signal was better than many campgrounds we have stayed. The location of PJC is perfect for fishing, floating/kayaking, and biking/hiking the rails to trail. There are many nearby hikes throughout the canyon for the more adventures travelers. The office has biking/tubing/boating rentals for its campers. Additionally the firewood for sale is priced well and is very good quality, not the cheap smoky pine found in most places. If you need a break from civilization to reset and relax, I highly recommend PJC!

But to get the full experience, camping in the great outdoors transforms a regular old road trip into an epic experience. Located 9 miles southwest of Wellsboro, nestling in the scenic mountains near the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, some of us have returned to enjoy a couple of days at this campsite. Stony Fork Creek Campground is a solid choice for those looking to unwind soaking in the natural beauty of the area and has become the go-to place for the annual family reunion. This well-maintained camping area boasts cabins, a fishing lake, a trout stream, and proximity to the bike trail. With 225 sites for full hookup sites and tent sites, visitors have raved about clean facilities, including bathrooms and showers with great water pressure. Improved WiFi signals. The staff was friendly and patrolled the grounds periodically. Being situated in a little valley with ridges on each side, it makes for some beautiful scenery and photography. Each moment was an opportunity to create a lasting memory that is filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences. Nature abounds here, especially at night, with the sounds of crickets, which we can continue to recommend.

We just stayed last weekend (late June) and were extremely disappointed with our experience. The campsites are close together and right by a road that loops around the campsite. While we were there, large groups of people rode their bikes around and around and around that loop while staring at us and other campers. On the Saturday night we were there a group of 8-10 tweens and teens did this for hours until nearly midnight while being decked out in glow in the dark items. Being without cell service and sleeping outside yet being surrounded by people was truly the worst of both worlds and was extremely disappointing. This should really be labeled as an RV park rather than a campground. The only upsides were the clean bathhouse, beautiful night sky, and proximity to beautiful forests, hiking etc. We will never, ever stay here again.

As well as the look out, very short up steep uphill to gets there. You can catch the Susquehannock Trail System in the park as well. And there are numerous other trail just outside the park near by. It's 20 minutes from Cherry Spring State Park, which is why we stayed here since that sell out so quickly but we were happy with the choice, you can go view the stars there and in Ole Bull both worth checking out. It's 1.5 hours from Kinzua Bridge State Park, which we also checked out there many cute little towns to check out between the two location.
