One of my favorite food trucks!! This is becoming my new staple at any event and they never disappoint! We got the Spam musubi and the Mochiko fried chicken plate and both were very flavorful but next time I will be asking for more of that sauce on the chicken, I'm addicted now. Overall great service and great food!

Me receiving medical care

Went to hapaholo a couple of days ago and got the kaluah pig, while the Food was delicious but after a day I quickly realized something I ate must've gotten me sick, I went to the er with severe dehydration from the vomiting and diarrhea. I'm not sure what happened as everything seemed okay but I must now question the sanitation practice at this establishment !!!! highly disturbed as I've seen other reviews, confirming my suspicions!!!

Picture of the bowl I sent to excitedly show my boyfriend before the disaster

Finally came into Kaya for Magical Dining. Such a lovely experience. From the food to the drinks…read more It was also delicious and presented beautifully. Would love to come back during happy hour because they have such unique cocktails. It's a small space but feels homey. I recommend making a reservation because it can get busy. I've been 2x for their Saturday bakery and let me tell you it's SO worth it. Definitely come early so you can get all the baked goods of your choice. Honestly all are amazing. My friend and I always get one of each and share, but we always end up getting boxes to go

Kaya is such a unique addition to Orlando's growing culinary scene! Located in the Mills 50…read moredistrict, this Filipino-inspired restaurant brings a refreshing and elevated approach to traditional Filipino cuisine while maintaining the cultural roots and flavors that make the food so special. One of the things I appreciate most about Kaya is its concept. Rather than offering your typical Filipino restaurant experience, Kaya takes familiar dishes and ingredients and gives them a creative, modern twist. The menu highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients, seasonal produce, and thoughtful combinations of flavors. It's a wonderful way to introduce Filipino cuisine to those who may be unfamiliar with it while also offering something different for people who grew up enjoying traditional Filipino dishes. My personal favorite was the pan-seared fish served with vegetables! It was definitely one of the highlights of the meal. I particularly enjoyed the combination of fish and vegetables, which offered a nice balance compared to some of the richer dishes. Sometimes simplicity, when executed well, can be just as impressive as a more elaborate dish. We also tried the oxtail, which was incredibly soft and tender. The texture was excellent, and the meat practically fell apart. However, I found the oxtail itself somewhat bland without the accompanying purée sauce. While the peanut-based sauce added richness and flavor, the overall combination was a little too heavy and rich for my personal preference. Unfortunately, the peanut-forward flavor wasn't quite my cup of tea. I can certainly appreciate the preparation and tenderness of the meat, but it wasn't a dish I would personally order again. If you enjoy rich, savory, peanut-based dishes, though, this might be something you would appreciate more than I did. The presentation of the food is another highlight. Each dish reflects creativity and attention to detail. The menu offers an interesting assortment of options, including seafood, meat dishes, and vegetable-forward selections. I also appreciate that the menu changes seasonally, keeping the dining experience interesting and providing opportunities to explore new flavors. The restaurant itself has a charming and intimate atmosphere. Situated inside a bungalow-style building, Kaya offers a cozy neighborhood feel while still providing an elevated dining experience. The setting makes it a lovely option for date nights, special occasions, or simply an evening out exploring Orlando's local food scene. Another aspect worth highlighting is Kaya's commitment to sustainability and supporting local farmers and producers. It's refreshing to see a restaurant place such a strong emphasis on responsible sourcing while celebrating Filipino culture through food. Their Michelin Green Star recognition is a wonderful acknowledgment of that philosophy. In terms of pricing, Kaya is definitely more of an elevated dining experience compared to a traditional casual Filipino restaurant. However, the creativity, presentation, quality of ingredients, and overall concept are what make it different. I would recommend going in with an open mind and appreciating the dishes as modern interpretations rather than expecting the exact flavors or portions you might find in a traditional Filipino home kitchen. On a note, the staff are super friendly and do their job well explaining their menu, process, foods Overall, Kaya offers something special to Orlando's dining community. While not every dish was necessarily suited to my personal taste, I appreciate the creativity and thoughtfulness behind the menu. The pan-seared fish with vegetables was definitely my favorite, whereas the oxtail was a little too rich for me despite its wonderful tenderness. It's exciting to see Filipino cuisine gaining more recognition and being showcased in such a creative way. Whether you're already familiar with Filipino food or interested in exploring something new, Kaya is worth checking out for its unique culinary approach and dining experience!

Craving Halo Halo from this very hot weather. So from what I recall this place serves the best…read moreloaded Halo Halo. Came in and it was 4 tables filled. I pretty much ordered the Classic Halo Halo - They have another version that leans more towards Americanized but the classic is the Filipino Traditional version. When it was delivered - I noticed it had more milky shaved ice than toppings. (As you can see from the picture). The toppings included - Shredded coconut, Flan, Ube Halaya, Colorful Kaong, Sweet beans, Sweetened Banana and Jackfruit. Before you can see it was more loaded in the glass. The price was $10.50 which is not bad for the size. The milk shaved ice was tooo sweet for my liking. I can tell it was a pre made milk ice block that they shaved once ordered. It fulfilled the craving nonetheless. Also I noticed some were buying the Siopao. Especially the Pork Asado one. They were almost out inside the cooler. I was told by staff that someone delivers the siopaos (the baker) and they are 4 huge siopao for $10.95. The Siopao were the BEST I have had. Better than the filipino franchised bakeries, That is how good these are. You can tell they are homemade. They are large tender soft fluffy light dough and not too thick ratio with the pork asado filling. The filling is packed inside the dough and that is what I love about this siopao. Its not mostly dough. It is evened out throughout - Every bite you get the filling. I will def get these again. Service here is ok - I noticed the check out tab .. They divide the taxes when you pay the bill and its confusing at first as to why they add 3 types of "taxes" for a bill. You are paying 3 taxes along with the sub total of the bill. Other than that - The Halo Halo was a popular dessert this day throughout the diners,

The halo halo here is the best by far because they fill the shave ice all the most common…read moreingredients in it including plantains. The flan has its off days sometimes its good sometimes its a little burnt / grainy. The palabok here I can tell its a Mama Sita gravy mix. It is still tasty but I can tell it is not from scratch gravy. It's not a fully loaded palabok, It only has the choice of noodles, the gravy, Green onions, eggs, and ground pork rinds. The pork rinds theyhad this day tasted kind of stale not crunchy or tasted fresh. The Sago / Gulaman do not have the banana essence syrup. So that kind of lost its authentic touch. It is still a refreshing drink. They get busy on weekends especially Saturday nights because they have Karaoke / Live band playing. The service here is not bad. They do hustle and bustle here if it gets busy. They no longer have the Boba booth from what a staff told me. The servers here deserve their tips - So its best to pay cash here OR pay the tips in cash so the servers / staff get the tips right away.

The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and gave recommendations, and the decor was fun. There was a neon sign there for photo ops. They also sell other Filipino goods like ube cheesecake, lumpia, ube ice cream, prawn crisps, hot dogs, and more. There are several flavors and add ins for the milk tea. I got the taro brown sugar specialty milk tea at 50% sweetness with boba. It was the BEST milk tea that my husband or I had ever had! The sweetness was perfect, the flavor was delicious, and the boba was fresh and soft. It was also the most expensive that I've ever had at almost $10 after a tip. I look forward to trying some of the other things there. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++!

They had a variety of snacks, oils, sauces, bakery items, and many more. I got to try their taro milk tea with oatmilk and lychee popping bobba. Hopefully, I said that right. Lol The service was quick and friendly. I even tried the Ube waffle because I love me some waffles and ube flavors. I will probably be going here every day from now on. The taro was made perfectly and was not too sweet and not too cold, just like Goldie locks once said. Check out some of my photos to see within the location. It was spacious with a nice photo prop area and seating area to relax. You literally could find out about nearby businesses by checking out their board by the restroom. They also sell Uber ice cream by the quart. See you guys again.
