Ordered a "Christmas Dozen" floral arrangement for my wife's birthday. Premium $159.99. Please look at the advertised picture versus actual. Very, very disappointing. I expected more from such a long-established florist. Especially after paying for the premium upgrade. I've ordered may flowers from Hansen's in Georgetown over 45 years. Our kids sent a birthday bouquet, and the arrangement that arrived was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. And they were so fresh! The arrangement arrived with roses and carnations and other flowers I don't know the names of, all in shades of light and dark pink. And lots of lovely white lily buds. Over the next week and a half, the lilies bloomed and it turned into a whole new arrangement! We are fairly new to the area, and are overjoyed to find a business that does such a great job. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a florist. I was ordered these flowers or an anniversary gift and the first picture is what I thought I was getting versus what I received from Hansen's. The woman on the phone argued with me for 12 minutes saying that that I ordered was the same as the picture and telling me that $70 is the standard price for 10 roses and carnations without a bloom. I will never be coming back here, do not offer a 24 hour satisfaction guarantee if you are not going to honor it. I was not satisfied I left feeling scammed. read more

I'm spoiled when it comes to florists. My home town has an awesome one who I have been using for years. I found it when I bought my first corsage and continue to use it for loved ones back home quite frequently. I have grown accustomed to their business practices. Even 3k miles away they are very accommodating. Unfortunately, Hansen's leaves a lot to be desired: * Their business hours are terrible. I don't understand why they would close at 5? That is by far the busiest part of the day traffic wise. Cars literally crawl by their store waiting to go over the 1st ave bridge. If they put out a sign with some good prices on it they would surly get some people getting off work wanting to surprise their loved ones. 11-7 would be better hours IMO. * When you walk in, there are NO live flowers on display. I wanted a few roses and she had to go in back to check to see if she had any left. I don't even think the coolers in the front of the store were turned on. *$5 for very short cut roses? $10 for orchids?? Come on. Slight rating bump because they sold me a "$10" orchid for $3 because it was already opened. read more

First off, the flowers turned out BEAUTIFUL for my June wedding. I've sent her some photos for her to get an idea of what I wanted for my wedding. I wanted Succulents, lots of pop of green, and pink and blush Peonies with maybe few roses. She got everything right, even the Boutonnieres! I wanted it to be more modern and chic and that's the exact look I got. The only downside (and the only reason why I knocked off 1 star) is because: 1) The flowers got delivered a bit late-and there was some miscommunication. I had called and made sure that the flowers get delivered by 7pm the day before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, one of my bridesmaid went there to pick up the bouquets and boutonnieres (for pictures) and reminded them to deliver the flowers by 7pm. Later, the assistant calls me and says that she's already at the dock to drop the flowers off--and it was 3pm. Again, we told her that it needs to get delivered at 7pm--and she insisted that that's going to be difficult because they were closed. But to my understand, at the initial sit down we have decided that they were going to deliver them by 7pm. Not trying to be a bride-zilla, but I was a bit nervous because our wedding was held on Argosy Cruise and the boat was on a very strict schedule. We only had one hour to set up everything and the boat leaves the dock by 7:30pm. The flowers did not get delivered till 7:20pm. Which leaves us 10 min of decorating before people got on and the boat left the dock. But they made it anyways, and all my bridesmaid and groomsmen helped and we were all set up. 2) I had decorated all of the mason jars with my wedding color for the center pieces and NONE OF THEM HAD WATER IN IT. It's a very hot June and the flowers were about to die (some actually died) so we had to quickly pour water in each and every mason jars with only limited time of decorating the whole place before people showed up. Other than that I would have to say, I am VERY HAPPY the way the flowers and boutonnieres turned out. We ordered 5 bouquets and 5 boutonnieres and 14 center pieces. We got some discount--so make sure to talk to Helen. I'm sure she'll work something out to make things work for you. Communication is everything, so make sure to not leave out any details on the initial sit down because Helen will take notes and make a copy for you. If there's any changes, make sure to email her and call her. We had a lot of people making positive comments on our flowers--in fact, I let the guests take my centerpieces at the end, and everyone was so happy because they truly were beautiful! 4 stars. I highly recommend this florist. She will go above and beyond to make your dream wedding come true. She ordered my peonies from Europe! read more

I recently used a discounted coupon there : $29 for $60 in flowers. And I understand that the retailer only get s 1/2 of that $29.. but the value of the flowers should reflect the $60 .. I felt the assortment I got and the value would be about $30 at a grocery store.. just standard flowers, nothing out of the ordinary. Sadly some of the flowers I got were looking tired by the very next day.... I was underwhelmed.. the store was a mess, there were no flowers at all in the front cases just some mostly tacky gift cards and vases and stuffed animals. Bought the voucher $29 for $50. Worst mistake ever. There seems to be a disagreement between the florist and yelp where yelp has not paid her. However she reluctantly agreed to make a compromise. There needs to be some sort of action done by yelp or the owner of the florist to resolve this issue. I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day for my sweetie a week in advance. The bouquet was supposed to be a half dozen red roses with tropical Hawaiian flowers with a small box of chocolates. They were to be delivered to his work. The first bouquet that they delivered was wrong it was a small bouquet of red roses with Greenery. When I called and asked about the bouquet that was delivered by the florist. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. I sent them a photo of the bouquet that they had delivered and they continue to argue until I convince them to look at the order number. They sent out the correct it was okay nothing spectacular that I paid serious dollars for! I requested it to be redelivered in complete order to my work so I could see the bouqueta and make sure it was done correctly. The second arrangement took over 3 hours to be delivered!! When I called a 3rd time and asked them about it this is, "OH you should have received it was sent out right away." Totally unacceptable behavior from this company totally unacceptable attitude from this company I will never do business with this florist again! read more

Today I watched one of the delivery drivers for this business cut multiple cars off, change lanes with no blinker, weave in and out of traffic with no signal either. In a maroon Scion with the business name and number on the back. This driver was speeding and driving completely irresponsible. In October 2018 I prepaid for my prospective daughter-in-law's wedding bouquet and her "toss bouquet". I was there as she worked with Helen to plan her bouquet. All seemed well, just fine, throughout the process, with a return visit to confirm the simple but specific design of the bouquet. On the day of the wedding, I picked up the flowers, and while they were pretty, they were not at all what had been ordered. At all. I checked with Helen "is this what my daughter-in-law settled on?", and she seemed rather defensive. So I brought the flowers to the Inn where the bridal party was getting ready, and clearly they were SO not what had been ordered. The gracious bride did not want to make a fuss 2 hours before her wedding, and her grandmother took the whole thing apart and made it into something more suitable. We aren't a family that gets freaked out about details, but I felt I completely wasted $300 on flowers that ended up discarded. In re-doing the bouquet we discovered a number of the flowers were actually artificial! Which was weird. It was a disappointment because intitally the interaction with Helen was so positive.
