I was referred to Patty of Brittany Flowers by my wedding coordinator. I had already met with a few florists at this point and had a clear vision in place. Sitting down with Patty was amazing. She took the time to grab some flowers to show me what I was looking at, how it could be executed and worked with me to come up with some ideas to better what I thought was already pretty great. She understood the theme and the feeling that I was trying to convey and took it to the next level. After our initial consultation, she got back to me (in a very timely manner!) with a quote. I had further questions and she took the time to meet with me again to go over more details, and search with me to find the "perfect shade" of pink roses. She made the time to reassure me, and make sure that I was happy with how my vision was to be executed. At no point did I feel like I was bothering her with questions, or just a number to her. She made me feel important, and that she was personally vested in the outcome. I was amazed that her pricing, while competitive, was considerably less than other florists in the area. This is not to say that quality was sacrificed. Patty has a true passion for what she does and it shows in every arrangement that she creates. She is an artist, and has an eye for what she does. I felt completely at ease to say "do what you feel is best." When I said I wanted minimal greenery, she knew exactly what I meant, pulled some greenery from the back and showed me exactly how she would do this, and explained to me reasoning as well. On the day of my wedding, the flowers were absolutely perfect. The shades were what we had talked about, the arrangements were prettier than I could have imagined. Our wedding flower order was small, which didn't deter Patty, the floral designer, from taking meticulous care with it. She listened to my ideas and made up exactly the flowers and colors I wanted for the wedding party (bridal and matron of honor bouquets and coordinated boutonnieres for the men). When a potential problem arose with one of the flowers about 10 days before the wedding, Patty let me know up front and proposed an alternate bloom. As things turned out, the original lilies were just fine and tied together our other color accents perfectly. We picked the finished flowers up on the way to get ready, and they stayed fresh and cool in the packaging provided until the 4 o'clock ceremony. It was a hot day too. When you don't have alot going on, any missed details become much more obvious. Brittany Flowers missed nothing. Would not go here again. I contacted her about flowers two weeks before my wedding (short notice - my fault), but only asked her to do two bouquets and some boutonnieres, so it was a relatively small order. I did my wedding flowers here and I had to give Patty my order with details at least 3 times, every time I contacted her, and I also had to give her my email each time I called. Is it really that hard to write it down and not lose it the first time??? I ordered a pretty expensive bouquet of specific flowers, but the whole batch arrived ruined, so she replaced them with much cheaper flowers but did not return my money; she just added some more flowers to my head table bouquet. When I came to pick my bouquet up on my wedding day, I saw a bouquet from the flowers I'd originally ordered for my bridal bouquet, but they were fresh and perfect and in the perfect color (which she told me was unavailable when I ordered them)...so I'm not sure why the batch I order arrived ruined though... Plus, the head table bouquet was much smaller and different from what she described it would be. Not really professional service either, totally not worth the price. I came during business hours and had to wait over 20 minutes outside because she and Dan had left to go to the store, even though it was supposed to be open and I'd told her earlier that I would be dropping by that morning. read more
