I cannot recommend City Flowers enough. I have been using them for personal floral as well as events for years and they just keep raising the bar and exceeding my expectations and that of my guests and recipients. I cannot tell you how good they have made me look! John & Jonathan are incomparable talents and genuinely wonderful human beings. One step into their gift shop tells you all you need to know about their unrivaled creativity and sophisticated taste. My only complaint is that I cannot resist purchasing! As for floral design, they are utterly unrivaled. I spent $350 from another local florist for a 40th birthday arrangement only to be so embarrassed of the arrangement when the receiver sent me photos I wish I had done nothing. Take it from me, it's City Flowers or skip it. I'm so grateful for the beauty they have added to my home and my events and have hundreds of pictures to prove it. Arrangements last so much longer than any others, up to two weeks in gorgeous condition. From some of the emotional reviews I've read (not even about the quality of work) I felt compelled to write mine. I feel so lucky to work with CF knowing how deep their client list is. First time I've been in this shop and they do have a lovely holiday display and beautiful items for sale (albeit very pricey.) what really turned me off, though was that there were several Donald Trump ornaments ( NOT gag gifts) for sale displayed throughout the store and I personally think that store owners should keep politics out of their shops if they don't want to risk offending potential customers. Located inside the Hyatt Regency, I walked around City Flowers, a beautiful and rather decadent gift shop, and asked where I could find flowers. The store manager took me across the hallway to the florist, and I was greeted by Jessica who asked what kind of flowers I wanted. I had no clue, so with a few prompts, I vaguely provided a color preference and a budget, and voila! We had the best experience with City Flowers! Jonathan and his staff were incredibly accommodating, communicative and an all-around pleasure to work with. In addition to the exceptional customer-service provided the floral arrangements were breathtaking! We ordered 15 arrangements in a variety of sizes for a celebration of life and reception to follow. The magnificent display of flowers, especially the entry piece, immediately put a smile on guests faces and brightened the heavy hearts. OVERPRICED, Condescending, lacks accountability. I can go on and on. @City Florist and its staff not only embarrassed me by being rude to my sister after she tried to get her planter they delivered fixed. I sent my sister a beautiful sedum tray for her birthday, paid upwards to $275.00 for it to be delivered. It arrived with no instructions (seriously for that kind of money you can afford to print instructions to accompany the delivery). SO wanting to take care of the gift, I walked INTO their store (at the time a temp location on Aug 3rd asked for care instructions. The person behind the counter didn't know so asked someone else in the back and they said water it every two weeks. Fast forward 1/2 the plants died. My sister takes the HUGE glass sedum tray back to them and they were SOOOOO RUDE and CONDESENDING. Said it was her fault and no one there would ever give those instructions. SERIOUSLY? It happened that's exactly what I was told and passed along. The older gentleman suggested she should have called, his words "doesn't everyone call to get instructions?" mumbled under his breath. No people should not have to call. But I took it a step further and WENT TO YOUR STORE so I could be sure my sister knew how to take care of the gift I sent her. In the end, they did nothing. "Not our fault" ..."We can charge you more to replant it if you'd like?" Well, then that would be making things right for their pocketbooks and NOT my sister's gift. City Flowers you should have done the right thing. This will be a recurring post on every possible social media feed I can find... Oh and you can expect a call from me on Monday ..... I trusted your prices represented good customer service. Good? I paid WAY to much money for my sister to be treated the way she was. We were sent a balloon bouquet from City Flowers in Bellevue WA. The latex balloons were filled and looked great. The myler ones not so much. By the next morning, 15 hours later, the latex balloons were of course no longer floating but the mylar balloons also looked terrible which should last days or weeks according to the internet. When we called City Flowers and let them know they said they would check in to it and call us back. They left a message a few hours later saying it was normal for the latex balloons to not be floating. They never addressed the mylar balloons. Guess City Flowers will be on my radar to NEVER use. read more

Ordered a Corsage for my 90-year-old aunt. The girl behind the counter was amazing she explained exactly what it should be like, I felt. 4 days later picked up corsage, It was a red carnation with a couple of tiny red roses and greenery $60. I had specifically talked to the designer and said I didn't want a huge one but roses and some white flowers. I was very disappointed and talked to a man there and he said they were completely out of white flowers. So they were going to give me a refund they got the owner and he was throwing a hissy fit, slamming the keys on the register and very disrespectful to his girl helper. I felt she did nothing wrong but he was really rude to her.(He needs to apologize to her.) The other man was trying and did get some white orchids in there and I was satisfied. But I will never go back there and I will tell whoever I can owner is awful, and acted like a spoiled brat. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience with another florist in the Bellevue area and I was so mad I didn't just use City Flowers. Lesson learned, I will only use City Flowers from now and on. Never again will I switch to a different store! I have now ordered three custom arrangements from them ($75-150 price range) and I LOVED every since one of them! One of the was for Mother's Day and the other two for my mom's birthday. The flowers weren't wilted and all looked fresh (the other florist I used I spent $200 and the flowers were falling out of the bouquet and leaves were browned!). They don't use carnations and baby breaths so they don't skimp out on filling out the bouquet with real legit flowers. Very disappointed. I ordered flowers for my Dads memorial. I ordered a total of 8 arrangements for the event. They delivered one. Some kind of mix up with the designer. I had nothing for the tables. They issued a credit but the damage was done. I have ordered from them in the past but I doubt I will again. Terrible experience for my Husband and I. Me husband had ordered an arrangement for our anniversary based off of these exact yelp reviews.. They were supposed to be delivered in the morning at 3:30 pm after my husband called me at work and I hadn't mentioned them as it was a surprise he had to call them. The woman whom answered acted as if she had forgotten. She asked what place were they being delivered to again? Wow we could not believe they don't even know where they were going!?
