Fortunately we were seated in the back room and it was not quite as dark or noisy. The ambiance is basically that of a neighbourhood coffee shop in the back room. On NFL game days happy hour is from 12:00 to 9:00. We both ordered from the dine out menu. The dine out menu was for 4 courses and included a glass of wine. For the first course my husband ordered the salad and I had the butternut squash soup. I did not care for the soup. I found it too salty for my taste and I'm really not a fan of squash. Fortunately my husband really liked the soup and I enjoyed his salad so we did a swap. For our second course we both had pork belly with red maple syrup and bourbon sauce. It was good but the pork belly was just a bit overcooked. For our entrees we both had the lamb osso bucco and it was very good with an Italian jus, mashed potatoes and vegetables. For dessert I had the chocolate cake and my husband had the peach melba. They were very basic desserts but were tasty. The food was very good, and for the money very good value. The owner manager came by the table a few times to talk to us and ensure that we had everything we needed. Our server - I think her name is Deandra (she is usually the only one working on Sunday nights) was really remarkable. She gave us time to enjoy each course as we had requested. When we asked to see the cocktail menu again after it had been taken away she brought it to us in a timely manner and told us what was in the house wine that was included with our meal. She even took the time to pour our second glass of wine. She did all this in a very pleasant and helpful manner while she was taking care of all the tables in the back room. Thank you Deandra.
