BE AWARE!! BE AWARE!!!!…read more As a precautionary measure, particularly for women, when needing mechanical repairs, gather multiple estimates, research local and online auto parts prices, and utilize free delivery options. Recently, my Ford Explorer's steering wheel locked, hindering turns. Following three estimates, I chose B&K Imported Auto Services Repair Bodyshop in Henrico VA, owned by Julian Morales, for a rack and pinion replacement and alignment at a reasonable price. Regrettably, the final invoice exceeded the initial quote by nearly three times. Upon reviewing the invoice, I discovered an inflated part cost and contacted Mr. Morales. He subsequently refunded the discrepancy after I presented evidence of the overcharge. This ordeal emphasizes the significance of verifying estimates, scrutinizing invoices, and being vigilant against potential price exploitation. Ps : per my requests he didn't have a choice but to provide me the invoice from the store he had bought the part , which shows a big difference on the price he charged me ,plus surprisingly it was a core for $359 back to his bussines credit card ( core is what the auto part bussines will refund you once the old part is sent back , this is common in some parts of your vehicle , it's always good to ask those questions to auto parts business )my car is fix but this experience with this person /business , has left a bad taste in my mouth , needless to say ,I will be reporting his business to BBB

Luckily, my evening went more smoothly thanks to Dennis' Towing. My car broke down a the highway ramp near Staples Mill and I called at least 7 different towing companies in the area with no tow truck availability. When I called, I was told that there would be a truck available in approximately 45 minutes, and that they would call me back then. I was contact by Keith who was very professional and respectful. He called me to tell me when he was on the way, that he had a (more urgent) call from the police to respond to an accident and he let me know that it would be a little while longer before he could tow my car. No worries, I really appreciated that I was kept in the loop. Eventually, that evening, he towed my car to the mechanic and dropped the key off in their drop box. I've never used a towing service before, but Keith was very communicative which is important for times like these. Their prices were very fair - $65 base fee with an additional $4 per mile towed. The job got done and I'm satisfied with my experience; I'll be contacting them if I ever need towing again.

They took the time to thoroughly inspect my vehicle and clearly explain every option available (Thank you Jordan), including the pros and cons of repairing it versus exploring other paths. There was zero pressure and no sales pitch--just honest, knowledgeable guidance. They answered every question patiently and made sure I understood the long-term implications, costs, and safety considerations before I decided what to do. What really stood out was their integrity. Instead of pushing the most expensive repair (which for me it was an engine), they focused on what made the most sense for my vehicle and my budget. That level of transparency and care is rare in the automotive world. If you're looking for a place that treats you with respect, is patient with your questions, communicates clearly, and genuinely and helps you make an informed decision about your car, Glen Allen Transmission is the place to go. I feel so grateful and that's not something you can put a price on. Highly recommend. Elizabeth S.
