I asked the lady I made the appointment with to let me know if anything earlier became available. She did and I was helped about 3 days later. This was a HUGE help to me because of the dental fiscal years. He didnt take my insurance, but submitted the claim for me to help simplify the process for me - which I sincerely appreciate. I'm having a 2 part procedure done. The first part seemed efficient and i'm impressed and happy with him and his team.

Dr. Curtis and his staff were personable and efficient, as well as EXTREMELY kind, making sure to address any concerns I had even before we began and then during the procedure. There was ZERO pain. Even with the shots in the beginning, Dr. Curtis took care to make it as comfortable as possible. I'm not lying when I say I think I dozed off a few times. I was comfortable, and very much at ease. As strange as it sounds, that was one of THE most pleasant experiences I have ever had getting work done in my mouth. I can not recommend this office enough.

However, upon arrival I presented my dental insurance "explanation of benefits" and previous receipts as there appeared to be a discrepancy, and dental offices always seem to estimate the customer payment portion when services are rendered. When I presented my question to the front desk attendant she immediately said the person that handles "that" is not here. But, she went on to increase the tone of her voice while attempting to explain the way billing works. I asked her not to raise her voice at me as I simply asked a question. (I was sure to be respectful in my tone and volume as I, too, work in the medical field and understand customers receive varying receipts and EOB's. Also, other customers were in the waiting area and could hear everything.) I simply had a question about my portion of the payment. Another employee standing to the right of the desk attendant heard this exchange and rolled her eyes. So, my only concern is for front area staff to routinely receive customer service training classes and be continually reminded by an office manager how to respond professionally to customers that pay hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars that eventually pay their salary. IMO poor customer service is what harms all businesses and especially the small business owner.

The nurse was so exceptional at explaining everything to me and showing me the various tools they use ahead of time. The doctor is the first dentist who has never hurt me with a needle- I barely felt anything if at all. I think a bee sting would feel worse, or a splinter. I have had paper cuts hurt worse. That stunned me. The procedure on a back molar was efficient and very systematic, for what it was-- I really did not need to worry as much as I did; it is just like a filling. The Dr was also good about letting me know what he was about to do, and what step of the process he was in. I appreciated seeing the work on the x ray afterwards and hearing that, even with a crack in my back lower molar, the process turned out perfectly. I would return if I ever needed another root canal, they are no big deal. You can tell you are in competent hands. Thank you York Endodontics.

Finally Pain Free, therefore an Outstanding experience... Thank you Dr. 'O'…read more This was my third root canal. The first was a horrible experience; the 2nd I believe the doctor (now retired) diagnosed the wrong tooth since the pain never subsided. As you could imagine, on this visit I was a little reluctant and very skeptical, if not bordering on sarcastic, when Dr. Ibukun O. Olagbemi (AKA Dr. "O") enter the room. I was prepared for war, however Dr. O's bedside manner and soothing tone quickly changed my mood. As I explained my past experiences she spent additional time diagnosing where the pain was originating from. Much to her chagrin it turned out the source of the pain was deep in a tooth that was two teetch removed from where I reported the pain. Over the past two years no one was able to locate the source of this pain. The X-rays did not show anything, and the exterior of the tooth had no defects. Dr. O is very skilled, I was shocked when she indicated she was already done. I enjoyed the dialogue between her and her awesome assistant during the surgery. I had very little pain the days following the surgery. Therefore I needed very little medication for pain relief. If you are fortunate enough she may even serenade you with her beautiful voice as she did me.

He is a super friendly, kind individual. It was a relatively painless procedure. I was done in around 45 mins. It is 9:31 pm now and I've had no pain. The staff are friendly and his chair side assistant was very kind and knew exactly what the dr was doing at all times and was ready with the equipment and supplies needed in a flash. The cost for the root canal was $650.00. I got a 5% discount for paying by check or cash. Please ask your dentist to refer you to this practice if you need endodontic work.

There are exactly ZERO instances where you want to visit a root canal specialist but, if you find…read moreyourself in such a scenario, ARCS is where you should land. After being in pain all weekend, I made an emergency dentist appointment that resulted in a referral to ARCS. The office offered to call for me and I was told I could come right then. For context, my dentist appointment was at 3:20pm and roughly by 3:40pm I was headed to ARCS. The office is clean and the front desk staff were helpful and professional. I overheard one team member speaking to another patient in Spanish so it's nice to know the environment is accessible and inclusive in this regard as well. I was called back after a short wait and X-rays were taken. Dr. Fakhari then arrived to perform some tests (these suck but are necessary to confirm a root canal is the right treatment) but before the test began he spent time speaking with me and had, quite possibly, the most pleasant, patient, and caring demeanor of any endodontist I've ever met (yes, unfortunately I have seen down this road more than once). When I was weeping during the numbing process, the aide whose name I believe was Alyssa, kindly comforted me, provided tissues, etc. Dr. Fakhari also took things very slow and checked in often. They were both very reassuring. I don't think it's possible to enjoy anything about a root canal so the fact that every other aspect of the experience is positive (including noise canceling headphones, a blanket, and Spotify) means so much. I'd very much love to never need to visit ARCS again but I'm nonetheless very grateful for their immediate availability, kindness, and professionalism across the board.

I called Advanced Root Canal Specialists, and they asked me how quickly I could get there--the dentist would wait. I was an hour away, and it was approximately 3:30 pm. I arrived around 4:40, which isn't too bad during rush hour. When I walked in, I felt like I was at a spa. The room was gorgeous, with a fireplace going for ambiance. (No heat was emitted, as it was 102° F outside). Two very kind and helpful ladies greeted me and offered me something to drink. I chose tea, since they had various types of calming tea. Afterall, I was getting a root canal, and no one likes going to the dentist. I waited about 10 minutes before I was taken back to a room. Tamara and Dr. Fakhari were amazing. I told them prior to beginning that I am not a fan of the Novocain needle. Tamara put dark sunglasses on me, due to the bright lights; gave me a weighted blanket; and offered me headphones to listen to music. All the while, Dr. Fakhari was giving me a needle that I felt, but in a gentle way. He spoke and joked with me while the Novocain took effect. Then, he gave me a second needle to numb the rest of my mouth. I realized it and said, "I see what you did there." He chuckled, "I didn't do anything," and then, smirked. It was the best experience I have had with the painful part of any dental procedure. Dr. Fakhari told me up front that I have a crack in my tooth, and he may not be able to save it. While it was not news I wanted to hear, I appreciated the transparency and honesty. After what seemed like a few minutes, Tamara took the headphones off of my ears. (I was on the fourth song of the playlist). I was waiting for the news that Dr. Fakhari couldn't save my tooth. Instead, he said, "All done. Not so bad." I couldn't believe it was over. He gave me care instructions, and I left--at 5:45 pm. Wow! I hope I don't need a root canal again in the future, but if I do, I will definitely be calling Dr. Fakhari.
