I went to their website and filled out a form. Soon after, I got a text from Vicki from Hannick' Hair Studio stating that she did perms and the cost for perm and haircut. Amazing skills, service and professionalism. I was lucky enough to find the studio yesterday morning, Sunday, when I suddenly realize that I wanted my hair professionally for a wedding yesterday evening. I called up and spoke to the owner at 9:45 AM and I was lucky to get an 11 AM appointment with Charisma. I previously had my haircut two weeks ago and the woman layered it without asking me my lifestyle which is very athletic and little time to style my hair. I explain this to Anne and Charisma and they graciously allowed me the time for a haircut and style blowout. I am beyond happy with the results and will be a new client for this Salon. Great experience with Angelo at Karizma salon today. I have been platinum blonde for the past 2.5 years, and the maintenance finally became too much. I desperately needed to transition to a more natural, lower maintenance version of my white blonde, and Angelo was just the man to get me there. I came in with some pictures, and originally had in mind a color melt (basically a reverse ombré, where the roots fade better into the white). After speaking with Angelo, he noted that a slower transition via all over lowlights (since I really didn't want too much darkness in my hair) would be perfect. A million foils later, my hair looks natural and healthy. Angelo tackled 2 years of at home bleaching, bits of orange and yellow throughout the back, like a pro. Went with someone else who actually cared about my hair..... so it.was apparently going to cost 250 to 300... then i wanted to stay around 100. She kind of agreed but wasnt willing to do it anymore idk what came to her mind.... just cuz i asked questions becuase i didnt want to maintain the hair.... hoping it would fade or grow out but she said bo id have to come bak and maintain it or it would look horrible... for a first timer im sure i had the right to ask questions. WOW! I am blown away (no pun intended) by the great experience I just had at Karizma. Anne H. performed a color change miracle on my hair and I could not be happier. She really listened to me describe what I wanted and then gave me exactly what I asked for--at a very reasonable price. Kudos to Angelo, too, for his helpful advice. Another thing: Now, this is just me but I gravitate toward a certain size of hair salon. I learned over the years that I don't care for really large salons with dozens of chairs, stylists and clients where I end up feeling like a number. Frankly, I find them a bit overwhelming. On the other hand, I gravitate away from single-chair salons because there is no backup if the stylist is ill or on vacation. Also, I feel that a single operator will have more difficulty keeping up with the latest cuts, styles and products. Call me Goldilocks because I have found the size of Karizma to be, "just right." Operators can learn from each other to stay on trend; there are capable people who can fill in if necessary; and the clients can still get that all-important personal touch. I went to Karizma for many years and I couldn't have been happier. The owner, Carrie, created a very comfortable, non-intimidating atmosphere where the stylists were friendly to each other and to all the clients. Carrie recently sold the salon and she and a handful of Karizma stylists moved down the street to Beauty on the Boulevard. Of course, I followed my stylist there. Stacey is a pro at what she does. She really cares about her clients and she goes out of her way to make sure we're happy. (Plus, she's a lot of fun to talk to!) Started taking my teen daughter who has super thick hair and she set her up.
