I am so disappointed with this salon. I booked a simple blow dry for Sunday and was told it would be $45. When I showed up, all of a sudden the price jumped to $85 because "my hair is long." I was shocked -- my hair isn't even thick! After I pushed back, she suddenly said "fine, $65." This kind of bait-and-switch pricing feels dishonest and unfair. If the price was "starting at $45," that should have been made clear from the very beginning, not sprung on me in the chair. Instead of feeling pampered, I left feeling frustrated, taken advantage of, and completely misled. I will NOT be coming back, and I hope they learn to be honest with their customers. My boyfriend showed the stylist a photo of the very simple haircut he wanted. She looked at it, laughed, and said, "Okay, I'll try my best," then immediately shaved the sides of his head with a zero blade. No discussion, no checking in. The top was left completely unblended, and she didn't even clean up the long hairs around his ears. It was so bad, he had to go to another salon and pay an extra $30 to get it fixed. The stylists there literally said, "Oh my god," when they saw it. That says everything. This was the worst haircut he's ever gotten. We will absolutely never be back. read more

I came as a walk-in and was immediately greeted by a very nice woman who put me in a chair and got to work asking me what I'd like to do with my hair. I told her and she began cutting, but that was the last thing she did that was acceptable. She wouldn't stop talking about the most personal aspects of her life, and completely forgot to pay attention to her work. As a result, she left a lot of stray hairs all over that she should have cut, and was generally inattentive and careless with the haircut. She didn't offer to wash my hair before or after, so all the hair that had fallen onto my scalp just stayed there. There's nothing wrong with asking for what you want, but to have to guide someone through their very simple job while they yack away is frustrating and moreover, shouldn't be necessary. Overall, I wasn't there for a chat or to make a new friend, but to get a haircut, which was done very poorly. I would not go to this business again, given the multitude of other options. read more

My brother has been in this place several times. He cannot be bothered with leaving reviews on Yelp, so I will. The first few times his haircut was decent. The last two were abominable. The girl who cut his hair this last time was the worst cut yet. It literally looks like he stuck his head in a fan and it chopped his hair off. Bald patches in spots, long hair left in spots, uneven sides, top sticks up like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals, must I go on? Now, how can a "professional" think this looks good? My brother does not have unruly, difficult hair to cut. Turn in your scissors, kid, or go get some more training before you massacre someone else's head. And for the manager, if you thought this was an acceptable haircut you need to find another industry to ply your trade in. For the record, the shop was NOT busy the day the travesty took place. Your business is a Moorpark institution, but it won't be for long if you don't reevaluate and/or retrain your staff. You can do better. read more
