Sorry I took a picture cause I wanted to show that it was eaten- ALL of IT! The Roast Beef sandwich was shared with my daughters and they both said it was yummy even the 5 year old picky eater!! Ohh AND the DeSsErTs!! I had a the cookie dough marshmallow cake and it was so yummy! Last night we had the carrot cake! My mom was a professional baker and it was one of the best carrot cakes I have ever had. The cake was delicate. The frosting was not too sweet and the cream cheese was not overpowering. Teresa did the hiring, and she took special care to make sure that the people she hired were personable and friendly. Since this business has changed hands, that service is a thing of the past. The people simply are not as friendly, and to me it's a totally different place. Yesterday I asked them to cut me a steak because I wanted one that was thicker than the ones they had on display. It was only about 4:30 and they do not close until 8:00. They told me that they had already cleaned their saw so they could not cut a steak. That would've never happened under the old ownership. They went out of their way for customer service. I really hoped that it was just some growing pains, but it's been long enough and things aren't getting better. If the new owners don't get a handle on things I'm afraid they're going to lose a lot of business. They've lost mine.

Country Store. The deli/restaurant is a dream fulfilled for the husband-and-wife team of James and Sara Wheaton. The pair enjoyed spending time together in the kitchen and started cooking for large events such as her sister's wedding. With supporters encouraging them to take their cuisine to the next level, they hunted for a place to house a restaurant for more than a year. Finally, the building off Route 104 struck a chord. The eatery serves as both deli and restaurant. Cured and smoked meats, such as bacon, smoked turkey, pastrami and pork loin, can be ordered on their own from the counter. Bacon comes in 15 flavors including apple bourbon, garlic, maple and horseradish. My wife and I recently stopped into the Saltbox on a whim while in the area, after passing the sign for them many times in between trips to Rochester.
