I found Hanna's online from other people's reviews. I have to say that I was very nervous to have my wedding dress altered by someone I wasn't recommended personally, but as soon as I went in for my first consultation, I knew I was in good hands. I had a beautiful all lace gown that had no cups and was very large on me. As soon as Hanna started pinning and pulling I could almost cry as to how beautiful the dress was going to be. Two visits later, and with a quicker than usual time frame, my dress fit absolutely perfectly. There were little changes that I wanted made and added also and she was not hesitant to work hard to make it happen. I have never had something fit me so perfectly and make me feel so skinny, snug and beautiful. She sewed cups into this dress that was backless and they held up my D size girls all day. ON TOP OF ALL THAT..... with three weeks until the wedding, and in the middle of her busiest time of year, we asked her to make a mens vest from scratch, with very expensive wool from a mill in the UK. She measure my fiancé, drew a picture and presto, made an absolutely perfect replica of what I had describe to her from my mind. He went in one other time for a fitting and that was it. This is a super late review but nonetheless I need to express how impressed I was with Hana and her staff. Last year, 2014, in July, my original seamstress passed away suddenly, not only did my original seamstress' estate not inform me of this but on the day of my final fitting I found out of her passing and ZERO work had been done on my dress and with 3 weeks until my wedding my stress level was through the roof. I contacted MANY alterations and none of them were able to do the work for me in less than 3 weeks and then, by a miracle, I stumbled upon Hana and her amazing team who not only were able to complete the work done on my dress but did it in two weeks and were very reassuring. My dress turned out fabulously and even though the girls were very busy they took the time to talk with me and help me with my chaos. I recommend Hana's to any bride who needs work done, or anyone who needs anything altered. PS- Hana, I will need your services again soon... look forward to me call! I found Hanna's Design & Alterations by doing a web search and how glad I am that I found Hanna! I went to Hanna to have her design and make my wedding dress. I didn't want something traditional as I am an older bride. She listened to what I wanted and somehow managed to make me exactly the picture in head. The dress she designed is absolutely what I wanted. The thing I love the most is that she was as excited about creating my dress and making it, as I am to wear it walking down the aisle. Hanna helped me with not only the design, but advised on what color and fabrics to purchase and what accessories she thought would look good with the dress. She made the entire experience enjoyable. Her prices are fair and the dress was ready when promised. She managed to take away all the fear and anxiety I had about having my wedding dress custom made. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect LBD (Little Black Dress) and wasn't having any luck. I've got a capsule wardrobe of about 35 items, so I really, really value comfort and quality and I wear my articles of clothing until they are literally falling apart at the seams. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to have an LBD made for me - that way I'd have a dress that is designed exactly for my measurements and my body type and is of handmade quality. I picked out a pattern and the fabric and brought it over to Hanna and described what I was looking for. Hanna took my measurements and after going back for a couple of fittings, I ended up with exactly what I was looking for - a minimalist dress that can be dressed up or down, is lined, and is comfortable. Hanna also suggested I take it for a "test drive" to see if it fits as well as I hoped and if there's any further alterations to make, just stop by again. I'm a super happy customer :). read more

Hanna saved me after I ordered a disaster of a wedding dress online. The dress I received from an online site was poorly measured and cheaply made. Hanna took my awful dress and turned it into the dress of my dreams! She took the original dress apart and reconstructed it into a beautiful, unique gown. My dress was not exactly traditional but Hanna worked with me every step of the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. She has a real eye for fashion and gives great advice and insight. My dress fit perfectly after Hanna measured me and remade the dress. I got so many compliments on my beautiful dress and it is all thanks to Hanna! Hanna's Alterations was one of the suggested businesses to use from Pearl & Dot Bridal Boutique - where I bought my wedding dress. I brought my dress in 2 months before my wedding and she was finished within 4 weeks. Mind you, its a winter wedding, so may have to do with a quick turn around. I had a total of 3 visits for fittings and the process was well thought out beginning with the shoulders/sleeves and then working downwards from there. My dress has lace overlay and she was able to alter the length no problem and restored the trim back to original design. I was very pleased with the outcome of my altered dress!! My dress consultant at P&D figured the cost would be $300-400 in alterations and my total came in under $300. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted but after a few visits Hanna came up with the perfect alternative wedding dress. She altered my existing dress perfectly and designed a incredible detachable one of a kind skirt/train. Hanna was very patient and helpful in making my unconventional vision come to life. Hanna and Kinga are AMAZING! I had a wedding dress that was two sizes too big for me and they made it fit like a glove. The material for my dress was also very hard to work with, but Kinga fixed the back and worked with the hundreds of buttons I had on my back to close the dress. Also the price was very reasonable. My Bridesmaids took their dresses that were ordered on line to Hanna. One of the girls dresses was a mess when we brought it in, we were worried it would not be fixable.
