I had searched a different Asia supermarket earlier in the day and while that place had the brand that he was looking for, they didn't have the exact flavor that he was looking for. Sakuraya had it, and they were selling for a better price too than the other place that I had gone to earlier. They also had lots of 2 for the price of X number of dollars deals, and a good variety of brands to choose from as well. I picked up 3 boxes of the curry that my husband wanted and while I was there, I picked up a few drinks as well and a big bottle of Light Soy Sauce. If you're not fussy about best before dates, this is a great place to shop cuz they have so many great deals on products that are expired or expiring soon. After all, "Best Before" does not mean "No good after" right?!

I had tried Kimchi Onigiri earlier this year from Market Ribbon and I absolutely loved it. This one from Kim's Mart wasn't bad but personally, I prefer the one from Market Ribbon. The flavor from that one tastes better somehow. The Onigiri here are better when purchased directly from the Zenya food stall in International Village, but for a quick, affordable and cold bite to eat on a hot summer's day, 2 for $3.98 is pretty hard to beat!

Food-wise, their sushi section is usually well stocked and their uni sashimi is quite fresh when they do carry uni. Though i should note that their uni sashimi are priced higher than Sungiven. The dessert and pastries section here are decent where you can find a whole cake for special occasions and pretty looking desserts and their hot foods section could consider adding more variety to its menu. It's huge, has a whole bakery, hot foods, cosmetic, and various other departments. Obviously to compare that location - set in the residential area, to this one - set in the city, would be unfair. T&T at this location does a good job at having enough of its well known items - fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, baked items, cosmetics, and beverages. All in all, it's a great location with its proximity to downtown Vancouver, Chinatown, the Stadium, and my favorite - Costco. Wishing it continued success.

Veggies, fruit, meat, seafood, frozen foods, Asian candies...they are well stocked and well worth checking out for any of your basic needs. I found the White Rabbit candies I was searching for, and also bought a box of Agar Agar powder. Not sure what I'm going to use the Agar Agar powder for, but it's supposed to be a Vegan alternative for gelatin and I've been curious about it for quite some time. Will have to do some research to see how I can make use of it. Some doorways between the sections would be nice. With that out of the way, there are 3 sections. Product, meat/aquarium (yes, aquarium), and dried goods. Pricing is in line with other places. The market definitely appeared to carry a wide and fantastic selection of fresh and frozen, fish and seafood products. My interest was sure peaked by this encounter, to head back soon for a closer look, with some shopping in mind.
