She seemed a little surprised that I was a San Antonian. That's OK. We chatted about that a bit. Her shop is so very pleasant and airy. It is stocked with scented candles, jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets), lotions, pens, birthday and non-specific cards (really cool ones; you probably won't find them anywhere else; I bought 3 and a pen). I know I've missed some items, but you get the picture. And damn it, I did not take a picture!! We got to talking about various things and she turned me on to the HEB curbside grocery service. She swears by it, so I may have to try it myself. Anyway, next time you are downtown before 6:30 pm, stop by. So very nice and pleasant. Cadeaux means 'gifts.

That is what the children call their collections of stuffed animals. We knew we could find something special and original here. They offer the classic Teddy Bears, but in different sizes and textures. We wanted something different...a Flamingo! This Stuffy was so SOFT! They all are really. We also purchased one of the STEM items on display because she is studying the planets and they have a puzzle/game ready to go in a cute box. They kindly gift bagged these items for us, which is a detail I truly LOVE. I also purchased some extremely warm and soft socks as a hostess gift for our Pastor's dear wife, as she deserves luxurious socks. There are so many different gifts to explore, I recommend a visit if you have not stopped by. I did not realize there were reasonably priced costume stores with good quality in this town. But there is. The manager told me they only deal with Dreamers and Leg Avenue, and both these companies have to go through quality inspections before hitting the shelves. This is a family owned business and you can feel the difference in customer care and pride immediately over the big chains. A beautiful lady named Soyla helped me in the dressing area, and I couldn't believe how helpful she was with ideas for me and even finding matching tights and petticoats. When one outfit I had my heart set on didn't work out she found something similar and even better. She treated me like a queen, and that won't be soon forgotten. Unlike some places that give you the old eye roll, I noticed this lady helps everyone in this way and never seems to tire of constant questions and demands of customers.
