I'm going to be fair and say I have many times bought a lot of wonderful things from this store. I am currently packing baby gifts for a shower in Colorado and I am positive my niece will fall in love with them. Do I care that I paid $100 for a baby blanket? No bc it is the perfect blanket! What I patently have a problem with is the all out entitled, young, obnoxious, rude, girls that work in there. The last three times I have come in there, they A. Are unwilling to help/answer questions B. Just lazy C Not educated enough on the store to do accomplish A One of the girls was loudly making fun of a child that was with my group. That child was an orphan and we received permission that morning to take her out for a day trip. He clothes may not have fit their spoiled lifestyle, but she didn't deserve to hear someone say "white woman's project" The store is beautiful, the items are beautiful. This place was super cute. The moment you walk in it's like a kid fairytale. Their displays are themed so when we walked in we saw all the summer items in front of us. They have custom bows for your little ones, knock off designer bags and really quality clothing. I've been to a million baby boutiques around the world and they usually come with great customer service yet here it was as if customers were a problem even when I had a shirt custom ordered. I guess since they CURRENTLY don't have much competition they think they can get away with being rude but they definitely lost my business. I have been following Nursery Couture on Instagram for several months and finally decided to stop by. I was greeted right away by a really sweet associate and I walked around a bit looking for outfits for my 3 month old daughter for our next vacation. Prices are ridiculously high for an outfit, literally $60+ and $35+ for a pajama. Do people really spend $60+ on a babies outfit that they can't wear after a few months? Some of them are cute but clearly I am not their type of clientele and I spend plenty of money on my baby. It's cheaper shopping on Etsy for personalized outfits than this store. Even their sale section is just not worth it. I would suggest this place for cute swaddles and blankets but definitely not for clothes. read more

I've been eyeing this boutique ever since I found out I was pregnant. After my ultrasound I was super-psyched to check out the store, since I found out my baby was a little girl. wa wa wa............not impressed. I found the girls' outfits and accessories pretty tacky for the most part. Too much glitter and sparkles and tutus. And those headbands with the HUGE flowers on them. Gah! I'm not saying I'm planning on dressing my baby girl in tomboy ugly stuff, but sheesh........I feel like Teresa from the Real Housewives of New Jersey would be the type of shopper who digs this place. What a cute & dainty boutique! Once u walk in it's hard too decide where to begin. So one downfall is the hours aren't posted on the door unless I overlooked because my friend & I walked in 5 min until closing on a Saturday (closes at 5, during the week is 6pm). Perfect place to find a baby shower gift.... If you have about an hour to look. The merchandising in this store is just not there. They need to be in a bigger space so the store is shoppable. Also boy and girl products are all mixed in together; so you are forced to zig zag through out the whole store. The best part of the store is that they can monogram ANYTHING and can make a onesie to your liking. Overall - definitely a cute store if you have the time to shop it. I am so sad to see some of the previous reviews - I have been shopping at this store for over 4 years and LOVE everything about it! They are so helpful - not only do they call me when they receive new shipments of the clothing brands I love but they also helped me design my daughters nursery and now big kid room. I was so excited to receive my bedding that I purchased. They even recommend paint colors. They also have a great monogram options - Simply obsessed with this store. The Staff is always helpful - and the girls always remember me when I walk in. I was a customer of this shop for a good two years - not their "bread and butter", but I definitely wasn't one of the people who's only there when they had sales. Today, however, was my final visit. The sales staff have never been rude in my experiences - this seems to be a theme in earlier reviews but I can say that I never experienced it. The owner, however, is another story entirely. And I've heard quite a few other women comment on her in the past. While discussing style differences and admitting that, being from Chicago, have a more plain, less frilly style but that the clothes they had were very cute, she looked me in the eye and said, "Well, you people up in Chicago like to keep your kids in bubbles. I mean, come on, they made crib bumpers illegal!" Okay, first off, let's just address the fact that while I get that she's the owner and can't be fired, the first rule of customer service is pretty much to NOT be a jerk to the customer, even when you disagree with them. Actually, ESPECIALLY when you don't agree with them. Telling me that all of the people in the third largest city in the country (and my hometown) are essentially helicopter parents when my guess is that you've never lived there and don't know anyone is pretty uncalled for. It only shows ignorance and snobbery. Second, there's a really good reason why Chicago, and many intelligent cities in the world, have banned traditional crib bumpers... because the American Academy of Pediatrics has been VERY vocal in the very real dangers of infant suffocation due to using them. But then again, I guess when half of your business is based off of selling wealthy new moms $3000 crib bedding you're going to be an advocate of them. What this tells me is that she's more interested in the almighty dollar than the safety of infants. By the way, ladies - your pediatrician will tell you not to use that bumper, and the fancy pillow, and the quilt. Save yourself the time and $$$, go to Target and buy a couple of cute crib sheets and a breathable bumper. Total - about $50. Because you're not going to use any of the other stuff. But I digress. When the owner of any shop is this naive, greedy, and outwardly rude I will be sure to tell everyone I know... and I not only live in a very affluent neighborhood where a lot of women respect my opinion, but I have a really big mouth and I love to share stories. Bottom line: Find another shop. The owner is laughing all the way to the bank and doesn't give a hoot about you or your children. For anyone interested in a recent article regarding what nearly ALL pediatricians have to say regarding crib bedding, here's a great place to start. It seems like everyone in my life is in baby mode at the moment. I came to this spot with a friend who is expecting and was amazed at all of the adorable baby items. If you, like me, LOVE anything and everything with sparkles and glitz then this is the spot for you. They have baby items that look customized and impractical. Unless you have the perfect little clean and tidy prince or princess the clothing might be better suited for photos or a tea outing with mom. Imagine a baby outfit with a halter style top in zebra print and the bottom is a black and hot pink floral print with a chunky black ribbon. Now add a big black bow to that ribbon and a gem in the middle of the bow and this is one cute outfit! To top this already adorable outfit off they have the matching bow for the head! I'm imagining dressing the kids I don't have in these adorable outfits till I look at the price. The outfit for a 2 month old is $68 and the hair bow is another $10. While the clothing might be the cutest I have ever seen I just can't see how I could spend that much on 1 outfit. Another quick note...I was not overly impressed with the sales staff. I didn't find them helpful or very concerned about the customers in the shop. As a matter of fact, while I was checking out the sales gal got a phone call on her cell phone which she answered (Seriously???). She then called another gal from the back and had her check me out. The original sales gal then informed me that it was her birthday and her aunt was bringing her a gift. No big deal....I know a gals got to get her gifts when she can but considering I was not helped while shopping the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth considering you a shelling out big bucks for the clothing. read more

Owner is rude, her online descriptions and photos are FALSE, and she refuses to issue refunds. The curtains that I ordered to match my bedding were supposed to be green and white. The description stated that there was a slight grey tint because of the black out liner, which was untrue. The $220 curtain set was completely grey, no white in the curtains at all, which didn't match their online picture at all. I tried to contact via instagram, but was blocked, and she also does not post the negative item reviews on her website, which I find to be completely unethical. Currently the curtains have been removed from her site because as she told me via email, that they had received many complaints, but she still refuses to refund the price of the curtains, knowing that she has many unhappy customers. read more

Great idea of a store but the items I bought and have seen there look poorly made you're better off ordering from a smaller local mom shop my bummies I bought for my daughter don't fit her right and the bow on the back of the bummies is crooked and looks like it's barley hanging on. This place is addicting! They have the CUTEST THINGS and they can monogram just about everything! The bow selection is to die for and they can make custom bows too! And if you need help with your monograms they will help you pick out the cutest stuff! You can't go wrong. The prices might be higher than some, but you get what you pay for! WORST RETURN POLICY! I came here to buy a special occasion dress for my infant. I didn't have her with me, so as I was checking out I asked the saleswoman if I could return it if it didn't fit her. She said "yes", so I left it at that. My daughter did not fit into the dress, so the following week I took it back. When I asked for a refund the saleswoman said all she could give me was store credit. I was upset that I could not actually get my money back (since this was a $62 dress), but what really made me upset was that they were only going to refund me 50% of what I paid. The woman said that the dress was on sale now and they could not refund me what I paid for it. I was outraged! Not only were they keeping half my money, but they are going to turn around and sell it again. THIEVES is the only word I can use to describe this business. read more

I shop at Nursery Couture all the time, but they have lost my business for good. I went in shopping for my one year olds bday outfit. I needed shoes as well, so I brought my child to try on shoes. The salespeople attention was a little hard to get since they were working on their computer. Finally, the salesperson helped all along the way, making sure shoes fit correctly etc. I purchased shoes and left. Got home only to realize that inside pedi peds card insert says not to get this type of shoe for first time walkers. Irritated that the salesperson should have known that for such a crazy expensive store. I went back to get the "originals" that were meant for my child. I got the equivalent size and went home. Only to find out they don't fit her. So my third time back I tried finding a size in the shoe that I liked & they didn't have it. So I asked for a full refund to make an exception and the owner refused. Three days prior one of the managers made an exception on that rule, but the owner refused. Buying the wrong shoe was not my fault I was specifically pointed in the direction of getting the hard souls and it was not the right shoe for my child. The fact that the owner couldn't care less was bewildering to me and I refuse to shop there anymore. I know many many many women that shop there and I will tell them my story and tell them not to shop there. I love this store! After searching and searching for my daughter's crib set through what felt like every department store, website and baby boutique in SA, I finally stumbled across Nursery Couture. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any help- of course I did because I was exhausted, so I explained to them how I wanted something that was different and one-of-a-kind...and BOOM! The girls pulled up the Caden Lane website and showed me the millions of beautiful crib sets that they have to offer...they even offered to show me the sets in person! Of course it's super easy to get lost in the gazillions of cute baby clothing and accessories and everything else they have in the store, but ultimately- I got what I came for and have been a loyal customer since!
