Very good and fast, a very average NYC slice, NYC has the best pizza and this is an average of that city.

OK I'm not gonna lie -- the pizza here is amazing! BUT it's also pricey. I mean, this is NYC -- you can get good pizza around almost any block. That said, the quality makes sense for the price. The flavors really hit, especially the red sauce slice. The veggie pizza was good as well, but it didn't hit the same level as the red sauce pizza. It was solid, just not as memorable. The ambience is pretty chill. I mean you just order and then you can eat standing up at the table downstairs, but they also have seating upstairs. I'd come back -- maybe not every day because of the price, but definitely when I want something solid.

small & shared pizza joint with a bagel shop in the touristy destination of the World Trade Center / oculus. Honestly wasn't expecting much from this spot due to its location and the bunch of tourists inside hahah. Came in to try the fluffy & big square slices I saw passing by. Was a lil bit pricey (~6.50) for a slice but it was filling and had a classic nyc slice taste to it. Loved the dough as it was crunchy but soft inside. Compliments the cheese and pepperoni really well.

I love this pizza joint I stumbled into on a cold New York Saturday evening, after checking out the Mercer Lab art and technology museum close by (which I also highly recommend). There are pizza slices sold by the slice and heated in a pizza oven for you, and you can also order whole pies. There is an upstairs area where you can dine inside with a beautiful view of a plaza in NYC where there are trees. They were playing festive winter holiday music, and their store was decorated with holiday lights which was really nice to dine around. There are also a handful of outlets if you need to charge your phone.

Was looking for a classic NY slice and Hank's delivered. All the classic options were available and well stocked. They were heated up fast and crispy crust. There's some standing room inside, seating upstairs, or plenty of seating in the park across the street in the tree's shade. Would recommend!

Nice place right outside WTC, pizza and sandwiches shop, the pizza is good I always stop here and grab a slice. Outside seating is available for your dining pleasure. Dave P didn't give it a great store but he's biased against any place selling more then just pizza..lol

So good!!! Or as we say back home good AF!

My wife and I were in New York and decided to jump on the subway and ended up on Trinity place found a place called Hank's pizza. It's a little small shop but let me tell you the pizza is outstanding.

Awesome pizza. This was our first New York pizza and I was highly impressed with the taste and the crust. The view on top of it was gorgeous. Worth checking out.

Fast service and many pizza options. The slices are large and heated nicely. Unfortunately, I didn't find the pizza anything special to other places. Nice place to eat outside and enjoy the view.

It's been several years since I visited New York City. Near our hotel, a passerby recommended Hanks pizza for a late-night slice of New York's finest. Next time I'll go to my old, reliable Yelp and find a New York-style pizza place that serves actual pizza, not cardboard with sauce and cheese on it. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was all New York, but the pizza could've been made anywhere in the United States with no special ingredients or skill.

I stopped here for lunch while passing by and got a margarita slice, a pepperoni slice and a chocolate chip cookie. The margarita slice was good and had thicker cheese than most places, which I enjoyed. The pepperoni slice was good and had thicker sliced pieces of pepperoni, and it wasn't oily. The chocolate chip cookie was soft and had plenty of chocolate chips in it, but it could've been warmed up.

They sat us upstairs along the balcony overlooking the main dining room, and the decor... honestly, just look at the photo because I don't even know how to describe it The space used to be a church, and it is SO cool inside. Definitely not your average pizza joint. This place is popular -- there were plenty of people eating -- but surprisingly, our wait wasn't long at all. And even with all the bodies in there, it never felt crammed or uncomfortable. We ordered a small pizza and did half Shrimp Fra Diavolo and half Margherita. The Fra Diavolo had a little kick, but nothing crazy -- and this is coming from someone who cannot handle big spice The Margherita had just the right amount of basil and mozzarella, and that crispy crust was exactly what I wanted. Although there was no major cheese pull, it was still perfect. The small was plenty for the two of us and honestly just perfect. We also had a couple cocktails, which were delicious too. I always say NYC food pricing is kind of deceiving. You look at the price and go, "Ummm..." but then the food comes out and you realize they give you A LOT. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth here. Great pizza, really cool atmosphere, and a fun first NYC pizza experience for the husband. Happy Eating, Chass

Bustling doesn't seem to fit, it was packed to the gills. John's is extremely spacious, and even with that much space, we had a substantial wait. The wait was worth it though because they know how to do pizza. The crust just crisp enough, the sauce flavorful, and the toppings plentiful. Last year, I was at Nothing Really Matters, the bar next door, with a group of friends. Someone ordered pizza, and I had no idea where it came from. I didn't realize reservations were recommended, but thankfully Ariel, the host, was able to fit us in. Ariel was fantastic - he was friendly, welcoming, and so accommodating despite us showing up without a reservation. Ariel provided excellent service from the moment we walked in until we left. I didn't take any photos, which I now regret, because their pepperoni pizza was salty, addictive, and just really, really good. The pepperoni was crisp, the crust had that perfect char and crunch, and I couldn't stop reaching for another slice. The restaurant is small, cozy, and inviting. If you've been thinking about checking this place out, go for it. You won't regret it.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
