SO SO HAPPY we switched our Eyecare to Dr. Urias! (We had previously had a NIGHTMARE of an…read moreexperience at America's WORST, I mean "America's Best".) The staff here are great! I set our appointments up about 6 months ago (when we KNEW we didn't want to go back to our last Dr.) The receptionist was friendly and helpful. My husband had an appointment at 9, mine was at 10. He said he wasn't taken back until 9:30 and was a little (annoyed?) with the wait. I didn't have as long of a wait, maybe, 10 minutes. All the staff here were simply wonderful! We REALLY liked Dr. Urias! He was so friendly and personable. Dr. Urias listened to my story of my previous nightmare-of-an-office-experience and reassured me that this visit would be different. AND IT WAS! IT WAS WONDERFUL. I have complete confidence in his knowledge. My husband dropped his eye glass Rx next door at Eye Mart. So convenient! Glasses within an HOUR! I ordered contacts and they were ready for pick up within 5 days (slight delay due to the Christmas holiday). We HIGHLY recommend!!

The decisions Dr. P made, cost me $300 and still no eye exam. I had to go see another dr for that. I've been going to Phillips for the last 2 years since moving back from North Dallas. The first…read morevisit was with a female optician; she was GREAT! She told me something was going on with my right eye and referred me to Dr Brown (but I could be wrong on the name). My 2nd exam last year, 2025, was with the white-haired older gentleman, Mr Phillips, (maybe). When he performed the 5-minute exam, I thought he rushed through it. He never mentioned what the female optician noted in my chart from the previous year. He never said ANYTHING was wrong with my right eye, but I knew there was. Now my right eye is watering a lot and fuzzy. Now had Dr Phillips mentioned something was wrong. I would have sought further help, but when he didn't, I thought I was overthinking the first visit. Just the other day I received an automated "It's time for your yearly exam notification" from their office. Yep, not going back. A firm NO. I've made an appointment with another office to figure out what's going on. And yeah, the front office staff is rude. Rude. RUDE!!! Fix it Jesus!!!!!!

Finally I called here and THANK GOD I did! They take my insurance and they are amazing! They explained to me what was going on and that if I hadn't come in by Friday I would of waited the weekend and most likely gone blind in my eye. The doctor I have has truly gone above and beyond! Due to my work schedule I can't take off early and he offered to come in at 7 pm for a follow up to make sure my eye was healing. If you want some one that cares these people do! All they have done is taken his information as a new patient even if he's a returning patient. I proceeded to ask the lady at the front desk how much longer it would be and she said "Just ten more minutes" and it has now been another 20 minutes since she said that. She stormed off and said "I'm going to get my manager" and never did. She had an attitude when asked why overbook patients and she got upset and told me they only had one machine. Hence my question of overbooking! If you don't have the proper tools then call patients and let them know. It is not that difficult to pick up the phone and place a courtesy call. Very disappointed with this visit. This is AFTER we had gone through two reschedules due to the doctor not being available. SMH ‍‍
