Let me start out by saying from the first initial phone call I have had nothing but over the top amazing customer service. Warm voices over the phone eager to answer any silly questions I had. The waiting room has a fun little area for kids with a spiral staircase for a fort, and the office has a lot of light and chic fun accents. We had our appointment with dr. Katie and she is such a kind, compassionate and energetic person. We absolutely love her!!! Very enthusiastic in her profession and you can tell she enjoys her job (not just going through the motions). My youngest has had to get a lot of work done on her teeth including root canals and fillings. She got to sit back, watch a cartoon and was well cared for by all the staff. Even before leaving the office I was given options for pain management as a precaution so we wouldn't be lost in the middle of the night when office is closed. The other dentists have made a point to come up to us to introduce themselves and shake my hand and welcoming us even though we have never been seen by anyone but Katie. I'm blown away by how welcomed we are here. I've had the pleasure of getting to see smaller children on their first dentist visit when we are waiting and the staff all do such an amazing job educating and making the experience pleasant and fun! I honestly can't say enough good things about this place! My daughter had a gum issue and they got us in that day, needed to do a procedure which she was worried about. Dr. Greg explained everything to her and made her feel so comfortable. Than when our insurance wasn't going to pay for it Big Grins called them directly and figured it out so we wouldn't have to pay the whole cost out of pocket. It was one of the better ones, however, I am not so pleased with them now. I ended up with an infection in one of the teeth they worked on. I am not sure if they were to blame for the infection. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it would have happened no matter which dentist worked on me. What I am not happy about is how they dealt with the infection. I had a lot of work done with them over the course of 2 years. In the end they said I was good to go and would just need to keep up with regular maintenance (brushing flossing and cleaning visits). I went back a couple weeks later complaining that my bite was not right and my teeth were hitting incorrectly and I still had pain in my lower jaw. They said I was grinding my teeth at night and needed a guard. No tests or inspection was done, only the assumption that that was my problem. Insurance did not cover the guard so I paid 100% of it out of pocket. I went in and they took a mold of my mouth and sent it in fore the guard to be made. I got the guard and tried it. At first it was uncomfortable because it was very big and I was not used to it. But I had been assured that was normal and I would get used to it. Over the next week or 2 it got even more uncomfortable and even painful. I went back and they said I had an infection. They said the infection was pushing my teeth out of place and that is why my bite was incorrect and why the guard did not work. They did not apologize for the miss-diagnoses and instead still insisted that I wear the guard. They game me regular coarse of antibiotics and sent me on my way. I was back 4 weeks later. The antibiotics HAD helped. My mouth had hurt less and the miss-aligned teeth seemed to go back to where they were supposed to be. But once the antibiotics were out of my system the problems came back. This time they gave me nothing and told me it would heal on its own. When asked they admitted that it could take a couple years. Seriously. That was their answer. Around 2 years or pain was what I needed to deal with. No pain meds, no more antibiotics, no more work done on my mouth. It got b ad enough that I was taking 800mg of ibuprofen and 1000mg of Tylenol every 8 hours every day. I had alarms set so I didn't miss a dose because if I did I would be in so much pain I would be crying on the floor until the meds kicked in. Even with that unsafe amount of pain meds I was still in some pain, but I dealt with it. I went back again and told them all this. They gave me empathy. Wow, exactly what I needed. I don't need pain meds. I don't need antibiotics. I don't need to be able to chew. All I needed was empathy. Or at least that's what they decided. I dealt with it for as long as I could but could no longer bear it. I instead sought out my own solutions. I precured antibiotics with out a prescription and narcotics. That's right. Our modern American Medicine is so advanced that the only way a patient can get the meds they need is to buy them without a "Doctor." Still even with my ill-gotten meds, the problem was not going away. I called to make an appointment and was told they no longer see adults at that location. I was told I could drive an extra 30 min to the other location and that I could be seen in 2 or 3 months. I found a new dentist. They say the tooth needs to come out now, and then antibiotics. IF that works, then they will need to do a bone graft. Meaning the infection has been so bad for so long that it ate away my BONE in my JAW. After that they say they will need to do 5 root cannels and crowns on the surrounding teeth that have been damaged by the infection. And then finally I would have to get a tooth implant to replace the bad tooth the extract. Now for some real symptoms. When I am not taking the ill-gotten meds: I am in severe pain, I have a soar throat from the infection leaking into my mouth, I have clogged sinuses and my dentist thinks there could be infection in them as well from being so close to the tooth infection (and possibly something more serious like a hole between my infected jaw and my sinuses). The drainage from my mouth and sinuses make me nauseas and sick and make it hard not to vomit. I have trouble sleeping, and am very irritable when awake. I have little patience because of all that. And I have a really bad case of halitosis. When I am taking the meds I procured I still have most of those issues, but they are cut by about 50 to 60% until I run out again.

However turned out both kids' visits were fully denied by our insurance. When inquiring why we were lead to believe there would be partial payment and not be told upfront our insurance would fully denied payment on the work completed. Also asked why was it necessary to complete their insurance forms prior to the visit, in doing so not determine partial or no payment from the insurance company? We assumed they would have been able to inform us if we would fully pay out of pocket instead of informing us there would be partial payment; told that was the chance 'we' took being out of network ... so be warned. Again insurance fully declined payment from their third submitted attempt. In addition to as they re-submitted our claim again to our insurance our daughter returned complaining about her tooth that they worked on; we were again charged for this return visit and they submitted the claim where the insurance fully denied any payment. No corrective work was done but she was looked at and was fully billed for the visit

Dr. Foster was the first one who said she'd give it a shot without general anesthesia, and my girl did GREAT. She ended up getting two crowns and one filling, and it was close to $3500 LESS than what I would have had to pay at any of the other practices. The entire team made my daughter feel at ease, even excited to go to the dentist. Not a single tear was shed (except maybe one by me). I should have an honorary degree as many times as I've been. My most traumatic dental memory was when I was 13 with braces. I was prone to tooth decay and had to get 3 cavities drilled in one sitting. My quack dentist at the time suggested I try an Electronic Anesthetic by 3M - a device powered by 2-AA batteries that you control the level on, but doesn't work for sh!t cause I had that damn thing cranked to 10 the whole time and still felt every drill poke. Dr. Murphy's office is situated in a modern comfortable setting, without that weird autoclave/uber-sterile odor you can taste, but don't get me wrong, everything's cleaned, with the most cutting edge technology. Yep, this guy's a gadget nerd, but that's a good thing in health care. Pop back in the chair with some wireless headphones and watch a movie on the monitor on the ceiling, while your teeth are cleaned by an Ultrasonic - think jet powered Water Pik instead of metal scrapey thing. Everything's on the computer as far as records, xrays, and the Dr. is always happy to explain anything. Schedule your next appt, with the friendly staff upfront, grab a bottle 'o water from the fridge as you leave and you're on your way. Last visit I had the tiniest cavity - in and out in 20 minutes. Didn't even need Novocain, but I'm hardcore. They even called me today and left a message saying it's been a while since my last visit and checking to see if I'd like to schedule one. Ok I will, but this time I want the Kids Sparkle Crest - it's so good.

She went in which was supposedly a "free consult" to look at the x-rays that were already done by another dentist to get a second opinion. Spent 10 to 15 minutes in the dentist office in total. He said that they would call and let her know pricing and how to proceed. They didn't call for two weeks. In the meantime we had to have a tooth removed due to an infection. So I called to let them know that they dropped the ball and did not perform the service based on no follow up. Within two weeks we received a bill for the consult that they never even followed up with until after I called them. I would've been better off never even calling them!! The office manager Stacy informed me that it was against their policy to do anything for free regardless of anyone else's time or wasted time do to no follow up. Not Happy with this results and the office does not care about patient relations and only cares about the bottom dollar!
