Decent dive bar in Lock Haven. Lots of seats, smallish parking lot, pretty decent bar food. Yesterday stopped in about 4 pm. They were running short on beer and some food offerings. Waitress was nice, but was ill prepared to wait on us...no idea of what beer they had. The kitchen was running behind, which we were told. There was a home swimming meet and basketball games at the University. It was also the last chance for students to move back to campus prior to an upcoming snow storm. They were gonna be busy, folks. They were not well prepared for the crowd. Apparently, forethought was lacking. The food was ok. Bar food that met our expectations. Fresh cut fries were a nice touch. A stop for us along a cross country journey. This little bar served up some large portion meals! Very good flavors, you get what you pay for here and then some! Walked in was ignored by the waitress who was too busy talking to people at the bar to say anything to us for several minutes she just stared at us and gave dirty looks like we had no business being there and weren't welcome. The restaurant is huge but nobody was in there which isn't surprising if that's how they treat people. We just walked out never got spoken to let alone seated. Our drinks were so delicious, asked for a fruity drink, the special of the day was margarita Monday. Lauren gave me a list of all kinds of flavors, I picked Watermelon and was made on point. I was not impressed by the food here at all. I ordered the fish and chips and they only good part of the meal was the coleslaw. The fish was okay but honestly tasted like it was frozen fish sticks. I came here on a Monday night and let me tell you this little place was surprisingly alive. The staff was pretty friendly and so were the people that came here. I ordered the Delmonica 12oz ribeye steak and it was tasty and juicy, no complaints there. I had side orders of waffle fries and the asparagus and they were both good. I came another night and ordered the haddock and was disappointed, but I had the honey BBQ wings and they were good. I have never went to a site that has such a wide variety of sauces for wings. Who knew this quaint little airport had a gem of a restaurant on the second floor? This place serves huge portions for a low price. I had their pesto. The pasta was cooked well. Could use some more basil in the sauce. Place is elegant and clean. It has huge windows which makes an awesome view of the airport. Nice service. We showed up on a Saturday evening with about 25-30 of us from my son's travel baseball team from Maryland. We were seated right away and the waitress went of her way to accommodate us, including moving tables and chairs around. The food and service is as wonderful. read more

This place used to be my go-to. Today I decided that is no longer the case. Waitress was polite and prompt. The food they served us was re-cooked. I ordered a hot mess with viper sauce. The fries were stale and what used to be pieces of chicken tenders are now pieces of mechanically separated chicken. The cheese was obviously reheated- it was all in one huge clump on the top and not melted to much of anything else on the plate and just didn't seem fresh at all. My friend ordered a rare rodeo burger that came out at medium-well, at best and her fries were also stale/reheated. That was my favorite item we ordered. The Chickendilla was ok , didn't have much flavor. We had an order of wings that had no sauce and was dry af. They didn't give us any ranch or anything. We asked for the burgers to be well done but it was still slightly pink in the middle ; they were super thick though. I usually do not make negative review but I feel like I can't let this slide. We were the only people in the restaurant to begin with and it took almost an hour to get our food. When we got it, it was cold. It was like it had been sitting out for a long time. Salads were soggy with no dressing. Wings were rubbery. The Hangar never disappoints me. They have a great all-you-can-eat wing night with tons of sauce choices! My favorite is the 'chum bucket' which is a bunch of other sauces combined. They have attentive waitresses and quick service. Late-night, the Hangar is a popular bar and on the weekends they often have a live band playing. The drinks are good, prices are good, and the bartenders are hilarious. This was my first bar when I turned 21, and we have brought almost all of my friends here for their 21st birthdays. It was 8:30 on a Monday, a friend of mine and I were traveling. We were hungry and didn't know where to stop to eat in Lock Haven. A lot of places aren't open on a Monday, so we knew it could be a struggle. We stopped at one place because the Internet said it was open until 11:00. We went in they told us they "might" be able to give us something to eat, but they were closing down the kitchen so it would have to be small. We didn't want to upset the cook if they had already started cleanup for the night, so we left. We went to Ruby Tuesday's because again the Internet said they were open. As we were walking across the lot, a staff member ran out and locked the door in front of us and then ran back in. There was a paper on the door that said Covid hours, temporarily closing at 9:00. Okay, great. Starting to look like we are eating at Sheetz. (No offense Sheetz, just really wanted a sit down meal). More searching and then I said, "Hey, I saw a place back towards town, let's try one more place, then if not, fast food it is." We arrived there at 9:00 because it had taken us that long to actually find a place that would let us in the door. Sometimes good things really do come to those who wait! Our waitress asked us if we were eating and at this point we asked if we were allowed! She just kind of smiled and was like, "Absolutely!" And brought us two menus. There was so much to choose from! If you couldn't find something here, you probably weren't hungry anyway! We were hungry so we decided to order and share our entree and an appetizer and got loaded fries as well. The Krabby Patty sandwich was delicious!!! I mean you would normally have to be at the ocean to have a crab cake this good! It wasn't a bunch of bread crumbs with some imitation fish flakes in it. It was real and delicious crab with an amazing bang bang sauce on it! The mussels were very good too, served with a bun that they had made into garlic bread! The fries were good, I would have maybe liked to try the home made chips instead, but next time! The Chardonnay was cool and crisp and quite good too. They had a large selection of mixed drinks and beers as well, so everyone could find what suits in that department too. There was a great little outdoor patio off to the side and it looked really nice out there! It was a fun and laid back experience, we felt totally welcome in the place. We would definitely stop back at this restaurant/bar when traveling through again. Great food and great people! Alright so if you are in the mood for a good drink and great food and service then this is it. the 8$ draft pitchers will start the night off right. big huge TV for watching sports. But if wings, burgers, cheesesteaks etc are what you're after, this is your place. Good beer selection, great service, and I've never failed to make new friends when sitting at the bar. I generally would come to Lock Haven to come to the Hangar 9 for their wing night. The wings are delicious. The service is below par... I've been in the restaurant industry a long time. They stopped doing their wing night, which I can understand. I'm not gonna harp on that. But when the sign says "Please seat yourselves" and you do so and a waitress doesn't come over after making eye contact with both the waitress and the bartender, it's ridiculous. 10 minutes of my time sitting there for nothing. It wasn't busy...Maybe 10 people tops. I won't be coming back. Also note the service wasn't great even when it was busy. Onto something new read more
