I can't recommend this place enough and we haven't even had our even yet!!!!!!! (I will update my…read morereview after...) My husband and I decided to renew our vows in the formal setting and have a backyard reception. Well, the weather had other plans for us. So, NINE days before the event we decided to move it indoors but I was hesitant because it was so last minute I was worried I would be taken advantage of. I did a random search and found The Classic Fullerton Ballroom and sent an email requesting some information. Within about 30 minutes I had a reply. I called and spoke with Leanna and KNEW this was the place! Her love of the building came through and made me super excited to go see it in person. The pictures online do NOT do it justice! Customer service goes a LONG way with me. When my husband and I went in that evening to speak with her, Leanna was INCREDIBLY friendly and knowledgeable about planning events. She asked us questions we hadn't even thought of! She was patient and explained everything to us. She didn't hide any charges and was very open and honest about pricing and about what, exactly, comes with the charges. Customer service aside, the place is AMAZING!!!!! It is a historical building and you get a vibe when you walk in that just relaxes you and takes you back to a more relaxed, classy time. We can not wait to see how it all comes together... And we KNOW it will. She doesn't have many yelp reviews and when I asked why, Leanna told me it was because they advertise more on some website (I forgot the name) that is like an Air BnB for venues. I've included an older link from wedding wire so you can see the pictures. https://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/historic-fullerton-ballroom-fullerton/618b8652d586ec20.html Again, we can NOT wait for the day to arrive so we can celebrate in this amazing venue!

We booked the hall for our son's wedding shower in May 2019. The event hosted about 50 guests. The…read morefacility was partitioned into three main, connected spaces: the main hall, the lobby, and the kitchen. Main hall. The main hall is a large room with a sturdy wood floor (perfect for dancing), very high ceiling (maybe 20 feet), abundant chandeliers for lighting, a small stage, and cushioned seating along the sides. The room was equipped with an amplified audio system that boomed music from our mobile devices - attached using a mini-jack. We also used a wireless hand-held microphone that was great for communicating to our noisy guests across such a large space. We set up eight tables for our guests and two tables for food, and still had lots of free open space for moving around. Lobby. The lobby is attached to the main hall through two large doors at the back of the hall. It is carpeted, spacious and proved to be a welcoming space for our arriving guests. The lobby is equipped with a bar made out of substantial hardwood and was an attractive spot for guests lean against and fill up on beer, wine and soft drinks. The hired bartender had plenty of room to store his supplies of drinks, cups, tapper, and ice. Yea, the lobby had a nice feel. And because of this, I would recommend that your pre-meal hors d'oeuvres and snacks be placed in the lobby, and not in the main hall. Restrooms. Very clean and spacious Men's and Women's restrooms are attached to the lobby. Kitchen. The kitchen is across a corridor at the corner of the front of the hall. This short corridor basically is the landing for the back entrance to the facility. Stairs and elevator dump onto the corridor and, voila, there is the kitchen too. The kitchen isn't large. It's about the size the kitchen in your house. Maybe a bit smaller. It is equipped with lots of counter space for conducting food operations. There is a standard refrigerator, and sink. The small size of the kitchen was the only "not great" feature of the facility. Still, all food-related operations proceeded without a hitch. Loading and unloading. There is a "loading Zone" (yellow curb) directly adjacent to the back entrance of the building. Up to two vehicles can park there. This was very convenient for loading/unloading gear, food, and drinks. The path to the hall from the loading zone is very direct - from the loading zone, enter the building, then the stairs and the elevator are right there. Go to the second floor and land just outside the kitchen. Parking. It is free to park in lots near the facility. This hall is located in a spot in Fullerton that is very popular for nightlife activities. There is a bunch of clubs, restaurants, and pubs in the immediate vicinity. As a result, we found that getting a parking spot close to the hall... well it didn't happen. So we found parking easily enough in the nearby city parking structure (free), and in the lot near the train station (free). Since the parking lots and parking structure are very well lit at night, and since there was bubbly activity of people out for the evening, we always felt safe as we walked to our car late at night. Train station. One additional item to consider. The hall is located across the parking lot from the Fullerton train station. Depending on the timing of your event, your guests might want to consider riding the Amtrak or the Metrolink to your event. But remember to confirm train schedules because weekend schedules are different from weekday schedules. Finally, we found this hall to be a classy, attractive and feature-filled venue that supported all our activities, including socializing, dining, program presentation, music, and dancing. Logistics were easily supported by the adjacent loading zone, stairs, elevator and kitchen. We would definitely book this facility again if we had the need. In the meantime, I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a spacious facility to host your important social gatherings.

A true hidden gem. If you need an affordable and quality venue, you've found it. John was an…read moreexcellent host, setting up the tables and chairs we needed. My favorite part is the kitchen, its organized in a way so that your guest can order "subway style" without them breathing on food. I like the fact he takes alcohol safety seriously by managing how much is sold. While this might sound inconvenient, I truly appreciate the fact that to him, safety is #1 priority. When guests have unlimited access to it, it usually leads to feuds or unruly behavior. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Including a wheel chair accessible one. I was so busy overlooking the party that I didn't get a chance to take photos. I only have pictures from the night before we set up. Thank you so much for making my sisters Quincenera magical. For reference, we didn't invite a lot of people but planned for 16 tables of 8 seats and added one more table in case a family felt squished or didn't want to share. We ended up not needing it but better safe to be prepared than not! Again tysm! Definitely recommend Also, this place has AC!

I spent months trying to get in touch with someone regarding hosting my daughter's wedding at this…read morevenue. During that time, I made multiple phone calls and sent several emails, but unfortunately, I never received a response. Because of the complete lack of communication, we've decided to look elsewhere for a wedding venue. First impressions matter, and if a venue cannot respond to a prospective client who is simply trying to schedule a tour and receive a quote, it raises serious concerns about the level of service they provide throughout the planning process. While I can't speak to the quality of their events, I can speak to my experience as a potential customer, which was disappointing. Based on the lack of communication alone, I would not recommend this venue to other brides or families looking for a reliable and responsive wedding team.

Where do I even begin?! When I was searching for a wedding…read morevenue, nothing felt quite right--until we visited the Golleher Alumni House. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for: warm, vintage, and beautiful. And don't even get me started on the incredible coordinator, Bonnie! If you're a future bride considering this venue, here are a few reasons why I highly recommend it: #1: Bonnie is amazing. She's flexible, helpful, and genuinely cares about making your wedding day perfect. She's not just a great coordinator--she's a wonderful person. Honestly, I'm sad my wedding is over because I don't get to talk to her anymore! #2: Free weekend parking. Since it's on the CSUF campus, the parking lot is available and free for you and your guests on weekends. Huge plus! #3: Naturally beautiful ambiance. This venue hardly needs any extra decor, especially at night. I saved so much on decorations because the space already looked stunning on its own. #4: So much room! I was surprised by how spacious it was. We had 130 guests, an illustrator, a basketball arcade game, a photo booth, buffet station, and a dessert station--and it never felt cramped. #5: Total flexibility. You just rent the venue and then have full control over your vendors. It helped us stay within budget and choose exactly what we wanted--nothing we didn't. If you're on the fence about the Alumni House--don't be. My wedding there was absolutely perfect, and I have zero regrets!

I appreciate the presence of a pool table and many spaces for engaging in pleasant conversations. The entrance is sophisticated and truly ideal for all kinds of events, whether small or large. Everyone was praising the venue. When it comes to parking, it's "AWESOME"! You can park right by the building for free, making it safe and convenient to leave. No need to cross the street, just walk over to the nearby parking structure. Great suggestion. The only issue I noticed was with the bathrooms - they need improvement. The guest bathrooms don't match the nice overall look of the place. Additionally, one of the doorknobs wasn't working properly, which compromised privacy. My suggestion is to install locks and replace the doors. My sister had to keep the door open for me because it wouldn't lock.

Since we were having a winter celebration, we needed indoor space but didn't want a traditional ballroom with no windows. The Ranch gave us the best of both worlds, with distinct spaces for getting ready, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, while the windows, views, and outdoor patio kept everything feeling open and elegant. The food was also a huge highlight. We had so many guests tell us how much they loved it, and we were genuinely impressed by both the quality and the taste. Alyson made the entire experience feel effortless. When we were still deciding on venues, we made a reservation at the restaurant to try the food, and she found out when we were coming and came down just to say hi and make sure we were having a great experience. That level of attention and care carried through everything from start to finish, and our families noticed and appreciated it too. We also loved how much was included, from cake stands and sign stands to arches, and that we never felt pushed into packages or extras we didn't need. We had the best experience and truly felt taken care of every step of the way. Choosing The Ranch was one of the best decisions we made!
