Awesome Bouldering gym. Everything from beginner to advanced problems and many different options at every level I'm a beginner and find the climbers and staff to be friendly and welcoming. Parking is tough at busy times but that's about the only negative imo

Large gym but also many people despite the non-peak time. They only have bouldering in the location. No belay. A few other things to do other than climbing (table tennis, board game, etc). Desk staffs are more attentive than most Hangar locations I've been to. Most parking spaces are next door or a few blocks away. They building didn't have a lot of spaces.

Oh how I want to give this place 5 stars! But the immense paperwork, confused staff who contradict one another, the horrible shared parking situation, the average air circulation... I could go on. We were lured into the great anniversary sale for the summer. Be informed! First time visitors complete a very long liability waiver form online. You have to watch an orientation video (no ability to fast forward or pause) before you can sign that form as well. Then the fall test when you arrive. It can take up to 20 minutes fyi. We do like the weekly problem changes per section so people don't get bored. There's a small fitness area and 1 table tennis table if you want to change things up while bouldering. No belay or rope climbing here. We got a great deal for my boys so I can't complain too much. The best advice is to come a few minutes before 10am opening for parking spots and you can just stretch while standing in line.

Jackie/Jacky instructed our group for the Intro to Bouldering Class. It's very quick (30 min) and goes over the basics of what you need to know before bouldering such as how to fall, safety, and etiquette. The class comes with rental shoes, a day pass, and chalk! She also demonstrated a few of the routes for us too. There's plenty of cubbies around for you to put your belongings in, and some board games, ping pong tables, and workout equipment available for you to use. As a beginner, I'd say that the environment is friendly- a more experienced person gave tips to my friend when they were trying to climb the peg board. If you don't do well with many people watching you, or don't like groups of people clustered around the entire space, avoid going on Saturday morning. There's also more guys than girls here, but I didn't feel self-conscious about that. It is crowded for a Saturday morning, but there were less people in the afternoon. There were a lot of people, but the air didn't smell like sweat. Parking is hard to find- there's not that many spaces designated for Hangar18 so either come early or park farther and walk over. Make sure to hydrate and stretch before/after! You'll be sore the next day. TIP: Cut your nails if they're long, or you'll have a hard time bouldering.

Each Hangar 18 has their own vibe. This one is all bouldering, no harnesses. Tons of fun! Went on MLK day and it was busier than the other locations I've been. Friendly staff that explain a lot on techniques. There's also ping pong and board games.

One part climbing gym, one part social hour! This seems to be the hot spot for college kids in the area because it was packed midday on a Wednesday. The layout of the gym is unique in that there is a social area in the middle with couches, board games, and a ping pong table along with cubbies to hold personal belongings and climbing gear. I like this aspect because it gives people a dedicated space to hang out rather than having large groups of people chatting/lounging on the climbing mats. I found the routes to be both fun and challenging. The gym uses a color tag system that I enjoyed because it almost allows you to go for climbs you wouldn't have tried otherwise if labeled "V6" or something above your average climbing level. This gym is strictly bouldering -- no top rope, lead, or autobelay. The gym is much bigger than it looks from the outside and I was pleasantly surprised with how many routes there were. Like others have mentioned, parking is an issue. The lot was completely full on a Wednesday afternoon so I can't imagine finding parking on a weekend. Another downside was the lack of ventilation inside. It gets very warm and they use large noisy floor fans to keep air circulating. Many climbers would stand in front of these fans and clap/shake the excess chalk off their hands so, as you can imagine, the air was very chalky and unpleasant.

Clean place, friendly staffs and there are lots of levels. With $25 for daily pass with rental, it isn't that expensive with unlimited time.

Parking is abysmal. Staff is cool, sets are cool but the parking is so bad that it tarnishes the other positives.

The program is well thought and structured very well. If you think you're only going through the rope course, think again since there are way more extraordinary things ahead of you. Broad your horizon and come take the course. You won't regret it! Thank you once again for the incredible experience and day to Shawn and Morgan! We were very grateful that both of you were with us every step of the way. I strongly recommend to everybody. For the rope course, the harness and claws are provided so bring your gloves. It can be a little bit chilly during winter especially when you get up the structure so wear warm clothes and sneakers to be comfortable moving.

Review challenge 58/365 Day Challenge…read more We frequently visit UA for casual Play dates or bday celebration either it's for a friend or a mini celebration for my 2 youngest kids, this past year. Especially hearing that there's a new attraction SKYRIDER that opened mid September 2025, my son came here w 2 of his closet bud to celebrate his bday. They were so excited to ride the Skyrider, it's a zip line across partial of the park. I highly definitely recommend this indoor playground. It's probably the best one in OC. We've gone to a lot the past years. This place has so much for your kids to do. Met the manager Terry and Sally. They are both amazing and friendly. Always there to answer your questions and needs. Our school Mabel Paine had a day of fundraising here also. UA loves to support and gives back to the community. Love a friendly oriented company. What's awesome is they now have a security here that I love since it's open. Security really nice. The indoor playground is pretty clean and well taken care of. Love the mascot Urbie. He's also cool with the kids. We are regulars here and definitely plan to return. They have great yearly membership at a great value. Must check it out!

As soon as I walked in everything was decorated/setup as I had requested. Natalie was on top of it all - she reviewed my food order one last time day of to ensure all was accurate (we communicated food allergies and she made sure the right pizza crusts/ orders were in place - Thank you this truly meant a lot) . She was so sweet and attentive she answered all my questions and executed the party flow perfectly. Andre did an amazing job getting my guests checked it and set with wristbands/socks. They both were patient and welcoming! They truly made this such an unforgettable fun, smooth and well organized experience for us! THANK YOU!
