When I first called the quote was $89 diagnostic and they told me if a repair was needed the $89 would go to my repair if a repair was needed. After telling them what type of heater/AC unit I had, they said my heater unit was complex, and that the diagnostic would be $250 and if any repair were needed the $250 would not contribute to the cost of the repair. $250 is quite expensive to have a guy come out and diagnose a problem. Especially in the beginning of the phone call I was quoted with $89 and it went all the way up to $250. I asked them what if it was a simple problem, would they still charge me $250? The guy on the phone told me if it is simple why are you calling us? Very rude. Instead of giving this greedy company my money, I took the time and actually was able to fix the error code on my heater on my own, so in fact if Kendrick, it would have been a huge waste of money. There are a lot of repair companies out there, Kendrick customer service is quite rude, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

I had to let tech come earlier but felt slow on task- only found switch not working. Felt it was Appropriate pricing for diagnosing our house fan = $79. I Was told they have to check if the kind of switch we have is available. Then gave me an estimate of $395 to change the "faulty switch" for quietcool. But $79 diagnostic fee go towards the $395. Thankfully, I got a 2nd opinion from a coworker's husband who is an electrician and researched some more online about the estimate. TOO STEEP! The switch is only $35-50 in home depot. This other company came back and told the home warranty company our condenser needed replacing, and one coil in the furnace. The unit/brand the home warranty company wanted to use for replacement was inferior quality, so I opted to take the credit from the home warranty company instead of replacement. The original HVAC company then told me that both the furnace & condenser needed replacing and quote a much higher amount than they quoted to the home warranty company (a different story than they told my home warranty company). I asked them about it, and they said they were "doing what's best for the customer". Not likely. Here is the part where A&M came in to save the day.... I contacted them and they came out quickly to provide me a quote, and told me up front that both condenser and furnace needed replacing. (Not a surprise here...both were older units). They quoted an incredibly fair price for a great quality unit that I couldn't say no to. They offered me a temporary window unit in the meantime, which I declined but was so grateful for the offer. What a great amenity! Their number one priority was my comfort! They arrived on time come installation day, and did a great job!
