Excellent work, communication and fair prices. Would absolutely hire again for any handyman work.

I hired handyman express to build a wood play structure. Elan responded to the request quickly and was able to make it out the same day. After arrival and unboxing all the parts it turned out to be a bigger project then originally expected. Elan stuck to his original quote and retuned to continue the work three consecutive days until it was completed. Elan took the time and ensured the structure was level and installed correctly. Elan is very easy to communicate and work with. We have several other projects around the house that Handyman Express will be completing for us. Pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend to use Handyman Express for any projects around the house. read more

I've used Elan a couple times now for my condo, and he has been great to work with. Prompt, communicative, fairly priced, and good work. In fact, after the most recent job, my tenant texted me this: "Just want to tell you that guy was absolutely awesome thank you so much for sending them. I can't say enough how awesome his work and attitude was!" The first time I used him, he replaced the garbage disposal and repaired some mold caused by the old, leaking disposal. The most recent time, a fridge leaked and Elan replaced the drywall and sheetrock that was soaked and starting to mold, which was a bigger job. He even took care of a couple extra things while he was in the condo that my tenant asked for. Class act. read more

They've mounted my TV, and built a kitchen island. Two great workers that I would highly recommend. Fair prices and very responsive.

Elan quoted $99-$199 to retouch some scratches on a dresser but all he did was go over it with a filler crayon and said he didn't have the capability to refinish the surface. He charged me $99 for an incomplete job and a complete waste of time. Not even a follow through with his wood worker connect. Incredibly unprofessional and ignorant. But I guess people need gas money nowadays. read more

Gave a fair price for installation of a new toilet and bidet $250 but neglected to notice that the tank was covering the power outlet for the bidet. So toilet had to be removed so the outlet could be repositioned. Elan had said that everything was installed and took him on his word. He seem detail oriented as he had called me prior to ask about installation of some trim that needed install prior to toilet or it would be difficult to access after the toilet install. But that trim wasn't installed as the gap on the side of the bathtub was still there on inspection. Anyway without knowing that the 1st job hadn't been completed properly I asked if he could install a shower surround. He said yes that he would study installation directions and get it done the following day. Turns out the old adage measure twice cut once was lost here as both holes for control valve & spout were cut in the wrong spot! Instead of owning up to the mistake a cryptic text was sent (I'm thinking we might have to take out that nextile wall tomorrow in order to get the valve seated to the proper depth. I'll confirm tomorrow, if that ends up being the case can you contact them directly and see if it's possible to purchase, I think it will be cheaper than repairing it....) putting me to work finding out if the supplier of the surround would sell just the one panel. I turfed the work back to him after a brief call with the supplier saying the part could be potentially ordered online he never responded. Anyway I would not hire this guy & his work buddy for any job as they were not up front about their mistake. Inventory of this shower surround is very low at HomeDepot and would cost $560 plus time to get it & replace it. The manufacturers website was difficult to navigate and the prices where considerably higher than HD's so that doesn't seem feasible at the moment. Also the panel should have been dry fit to ensure everything fit properly for example the shower control valve. Elan told me was set about a 1/4 to far back to install. The problem turned out to be that they had installed about an inch worth of shims on the bottom right corner pushing the surround wall out to far. Once these shims were removed the shower control valve installed just fine. Disastrous setback as I try to get home on the market for resale. I now have to find a whole new kit or part and have it reinstalled. Huge pain in the behind!!! To top everything off, while I'm writing this review I get a text from Elan about where to send the invoice! Everything has to be redone and a broken part replaced! I think I'm the one owed $$$! I have more pics just don't have the energy currently to post them all. read more
