Chris from Main Street was quick to respond and we set up an on-site consult for later in the week. I knew which windows (4 of them) I wanted replaced since an Anderson Renewal guy had come out separately to inspect & provide a quote. Chris from Main Street was extremely kind, helpful, and upfront. I chose them ultimately because of this pleasant meeting, urgency for the replacement, and fair price. He was my only point of contact the whole job which was nice and he was on top of communicating things throughout the whole process. We also have siding being replaced so he communicated with my other contractor to coordinate timing. Pricing was very reasonable compared to Renewal but more expensive than a DIY vinyl install because of the window quality. I wanted a window that would last and was willing to pay more. The Anderson 100 series installed was literally half the cost of what Renewal had quoted me (I believe they quoted the 300 series) but are very high quality windows regardless and we really like them. There are some minor aesthetic defects from the manufacturing of the windows (pictured here) but they can be trimmed off very easily and aren't a concern. The installer Dre came in with Dan as support and they did a beautiful job. I had plenty of notice beforehand and they finished the job exactly as estimated (about 6 hours) after cleaning up very nicely. All in all, I thought Main Street Windows had a competitive price, I appreciated their recommendation for the product, they did a great job communicating, and the windows look great.

Ray is da man. We're staying at a friend's place on the lake. It's on a well. The water…read moremysteriously stopped one day, after checking everything we knew to check, we called the cavalry. Ray arrived and wasted no time troubleshooting and discovering a clogged screen about 110 ft in the ground. Unfortunately, the technique that works best also has the well down for a couple days. While he was treating the area, we took a small overnight trip. Upon our return the next afternoon, we were surprised to see Ray was reassembling the well. One successful test later, we were back in action. It's nice to know whether we need a new dug or repairs to an existing system Ray is there to make it happen. 10/25

We did run into a couple of complications that involved pipes inside the house, but he, along with our master plumber best friend, wrapped it all up PERFECTLY! He flushed our well too, which has vastly improved the quality of the water. What was stinky water full of sediment, we can now drink! We had all the overgrown foundation landscape removed, the rocks from all the beds removed and several large boulders repositioned. They spread 30+ yards of topsoil and seeded the areas, leaving the foundation beds for planting. We are very impressed that 2 young men worked as hard and efficiently as they did, arriving promptly and working well into the evening. We feel we paid a very fair price for the work done. We would definitely recommend their company for any excavating and landscape work.
