He was also able to do several patch jobs and skillfully match the texture on the wall so that you would never know the previous owners had punched holes in the walls. His ability to match the texture so good that you would never know it was there, good retexturing is truly an art. I know from experience matching texture is nearly impossible and I am very picky but no matter the angle I could not see his patches. I knew he was a keeper!!! In the last year he has also put up drywall in our unfinished garage and patched several more holes after installing can lights and speakers, he was even able to fix a terrible texture job done after we tried to diy it;) Not only does he do a terrific job but Bill is professional, clean and his prices are extremely fair. Unfortunately, they are not properly informed by the owner who conveniently forgets to tell them to paint areas included in the estimates, even after collecting the money for the job. The problem is with the owner Frank who, either because of old age or because of too much partying, is neglectful, forgetful and scatter-brained, to the point where four times, I had to bring back the crew because Frank (and no one else) forgot to tell them to do a segment that was included in the contract. And so, I recorded our conversation and took pictures and films of the areas to do last summer only to...come back and find that Frank forgot once again to tell the crew to do a whole side of the house that was left unpainted. Frank called it "miscommunication" even after I showed evidence it was included in our agreement, and said "we'll do it for sure "next time". Problem is, I already paid for a job that was incomplete and, because of Frank's lack of professionalism and consistency, I decided there won't be a "next time", because I'm sure he'll forget again this time and blame it on too much wine or not enough sleep. And what's worse is the insistence to do what was supposed to be done another time when I decide to do another segment, and he'll "throw this last one in too". I now completely veer away from this company, will never use again, and totally advise against using by ANYONE as too many mistakes, too many recalls and too many times did he simply "forget" to tell his crew to do one or other side, or other segment, one or other fascia, one corner etc... I'd rather avoid the headache and the argument and go somewhere else, even though he still owes me for a corner that was included in the previous estimate and bill, that was paid for, but was never completed. I would definitely not recommend this company, end of story. Frank does however, get an A+ at being a BS artist and salesman, not so at being consistent and professional.

Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. We found that having a local point of contact was extremely helpful, especially for a large time consuming project like ours. We conducted our remodeling effort in two phases with the first focusing on the kitchen, family room and living room and the second on the hallways, bathrooms and bedrooms. The bathrooms were completely remodeled/redesigned with plumbing changes and wall modifications. The flooring in the entire house was replaced with porcelain tile. New baseboards, window casings, closet doors, and windows were added. The Youngren team worked with us from beginning to end (design, permitting process, material selection, demolition, construction, final inspection) and proved to be very flexible when we requested changes as the worked progressed. One of the most positive aspects of Youngren is that they utilize very professional and reliable subcontractors who worked with us (and the Youngren Supervisor) to fine tune and adjust what we wanted. They included electricians, plumbers, countertop fabricators, drywall/finishers, painters, glaziers/shower glass installers, stucco contractors, cabinet makers and tile installers/setters. After over a week of no communication, I finally received a voicemail saying they wouldn't be doing the job and would just refer me out. This was after coming into my home, walking through every room, and closely interacting with me and my entire family. I was clear about the scope of work from the beginning, and they agreed to it--only to back out after wasting my time and putting my household at risk. Even if they didn't know, every close interaction with another person is a potential threat to my life due to an extremely serious primary immunodeficiency. This is exactly why it's so important to be kind, respectful, and considerate with other people's time. You never know what someone is going through. I would absolutely NOT recommend! Pick literally anyone else. Worst company I've dealt with yet - just so disrespectful to lie and waste my time.

So this is the first time ever that I have given 5 stars for a review! There is always something that could have been better! Not this time! Creighton Calloway with Handy by Calloway was responsive with calls, showed up on time (no reminder needed), efficient, fast, professional, and all around good guy! I have been searching for years a good handy man to take care of odds and ends around my house. It is impossible to find as most people want big jobs or its not worth their time! Creighton said no job is too small and that he is more than happy to take small jobs! He was definitely my life saver this time. I have a week to get ready for a new baby via adoption and I just could not get everything done in time. Creighton came and did everything from installing fans to building a crib and changing table to helping with the decorations by hanging my paper lanterns! Can't recommend Creighton enough!!!! He was professional, returned calls and showed up when he said he would. I was trying to coordinate work at my parents home from Virginia. Creighton spent a lot of time on the phone with me discussing what was needed and scheduled an appointment that worked around my visiting for the holidays. He showed up the day before Christmas Eve with everything he needed to complete the job and made sure everything was safe for my parents AND left the space as clean as he found it. When George showed up, he was very professional yet also very friendly. It turned out that some part on our dryer hose was a non-standard size so what does George do? He drives all the way to Lowes, buys the right part and comes back to finish the job he started, all without charging us an extra dime. We hired him again to help install a wall mount for a TV and he came early on a Saturday morning to accommodate the only time we had free. Be got the job done, did it professionally and provided fun conversation while he worked, which was refreshing since many handyman are unfriendly and want you to leave them alone. Not George! If you miss something so simple as communicating with a client, what else are you going to miss? I sent an email on 2/9/15 to Brian asking him for a quote on some tile work for my master bathroom. He replied the very same day with numbers...which I totally appreciated. I replied that day that I would mull the numbers over and asked how many days he would need for the project and what his schedule was like for the next month...all of which implied that I was seriously considering taking his quote and having the work done. Well, I have since re-sent that email another 2 times and as of 2/20/15, have not gotten a reply. Really? Are you too busy to take 2 minutes to compose a quick email? Communicating with your clients is a large part of your business. Figure it out. Sorry, but since you are apparently too busy to communicate, then I will give my business to someone else. Below was posted 05/2014 After receiving a notice from our HOA that we needed our garage door painted I did some research to find a good all around handyman. I also wanted someone that I could call in the future for small jobs. I came across the listing for Brian and his business and researched reviews online and decided that based on the great feedback I would shoot him an email. I emailed on a weekday evening and received a prompt, professional response the very next morning. We set up an appt and agreed on a price. He came out at the exact time promised and inspected the door. I had recently done some maintenance on the door and there was garage door lubricant that had seeped through and dripped down the surface of the door between the section joints. Brian pointed out that the door would need to be primed or the lubricant would eventually bleed through. He offered to pick some primer up and just charged us for the cost of the material and no additional time. I had already purchased the paint we wanted. Brian finished the job in about an hour and even after spending a little note time getting the primer he only charged his original bid. The door looks great, the HOA is happy and that's one less thing for me to do in the weekend! I will definitely keep Brian's info on file and call on him in the future for household repairs and projects. Thanks!
