I've been coming here for hair and beard cuts for many years. It has been the most consistent high quality men's cut in town for many years....however I can't be the only one to notice the general change in attitude of the staff. Barbers almost seem to have no interest in being there and the central goal feels like it's shifting from giving you the best service...to how fast they can all get out of there. I Work out of town, so Saturday morning walk-ins are key. Lately they've been locking their doors earlier and earlier (see above). So I'm new to the Manchester NH area so I was looking for a new Barber and stumbled across this shop via Google. After 12 years of Military service, I've had my share of fades, both good and bad and let me tell you, Steve delivered. Wicked friendly guy, opened up a dialogue which I personally think is key to developing clientele and he took his time to make it perfect. The shop itself is pretty badass and clean. Some sweet decor fills the shop and staff all seemed to be in conversation with their clients. To top it off, Steve informed me of the police/military discount. When I first moved to New Hampshire, I tried out a few barbers around town and always felt dissatisfied and disappointed. Why was it so difficult to just find a barber who didn't mess up my hair? Then I found Handsome Devils and haven't looked back. Rather than sticking to the same barber, I just went with whoever was open and literally everyone there who cut my hair did a fantastic job. Everyone checked to make sure I was happy with my cut and made adjustments as necessary. And they finished off with warm lather and a straight razor to make sure everything looks clean! That was my favorite part of my cut. My Father loved this place too. He flew over from the west coast for a few months and needed a haircut after a while. The newer barber (didn't catch his name so my bad) was pretty detail oriented, did an excellent haircut, and even cleaned up the eyebrows. Pops really enjoyed his cut so thank you. They do a pretty good straight razor shave too. I'm usually clean shaven for work so there is seldom enough scruff to justify a straight razor shave. I've only experienced a few barber shaves and Handsome Devils doesn't take the top spot for me, however, it was still very relaxing and I'd totally recommend stopping by for one. And at only $25 a pop, it's hard to complain. Their space is cool. The guys are funny, they play good music, and there is a kiddie space with video games and random toys. Tidbits/Facts -Handsome Devils is not open on Sundays! I kept Forgetting this for some reason. -Check Facebook to make sure they are open in case there is a snows storm or if they are randomly closed on a Saturday. I can think of at least one time they were randomly closed so I had to seek out one of their competitors down the road. Bummer. Wasn't too happy with my cut and that just reminded me why I kept coming back to Handsome Devils. -Prices increased December 2017. Their work is so good I'm fine with shelling out a few extra dollars. -Within a few months of opening, they were voted the best barber shop in Manchester and best barber. Hippo best of 2017. -They neither serve alcohol nor do they have lockers for alcohol. However, Handsome Devils is conveniently located right next door to the best bottle shop in the area. I'd frequently pick up some craft beer after my cut. I won't be able to stop by anymore as I have moved back to California, but I highly recommend checking this barber shop out if you are in the area. read more

Easily the best barbershop I've ever been to. There are two reasons for this. 1) The barbers are legitimately skilled. They have the technical skills and equipment to do whatever you need them to do. 2) **and much more importantly** you get the sense that they really enjoy what they do. They genuinely like working with people. All people and kids. The whole shop is set up to make you feel comfortable in your own skin. Also, they put a special focus on being engaging to kids. This place is the best haircut you can get in the area. The staff mix the old school vibe of how a barber should be with a new school setting and attitude. It's the attention to detail and insistence on getting it right every time that really impresses me. This establishment is also great with kids and has ample areas for them to play while you wait, with toys, vintage gaming systems, and plenty of open space. The prices recently went up a bit which some will undoubtedly not enjoy, but the service is impeccable enough that it's worth the few extra dollars. 100% recommend for anyone who wants it done right, the first time, every time. read more

I make it a point to go to Handsome Devils when we are in Hooksett. I really like the cut I get from Brandt. He is very meticulous. Takes his time and wants to make sure you are satisfied. After my normal barber moving to another state, I was in search of another barber. After trying two other shops, I came upon Handsome Devils. Today was my 4th cut and 3rd barber I've used. A word to describe this shop; consistent. All cuts have been consistently awesome. The barbers listen to what you want and make the cut exactly what you described. Today for my latest cut, I had the "new guy" Ryan Palmer. Ryan and I chit chatted and I was surprised to find that Ryan was only out of barbering school for a short time.
