I travel an hour an 10 minutes and call a week in advance to see Barry although people call him Berry. He is with out a doubt the best Barber I've ever had. He never assumes what I want and always takes his time to get it right. It is such a good relaxing experience, in addition shooting the breeze with him is like going to a shrink, barber client attorney privilege . You can't tell him anything that he hasn't heard since he's 20 years deep in the business. I truly recommend him for a great haircut and a great experience. He is also awesome with kids. read more

Most professional barber shop I have been to! If you want to get your hair cut here, you need to book an appointment at-least 2-3 days ahead. I get my haircut from Doug and his appointments generally are 30 minutes. Service you get for the price you pay is very good. Doug does not rush while doing haircut, that is the reason I love getting my haircut here. Haircut includes shampooing and I think Doug is a perfectionist and I am not exaggerating when I say this! If you are looking for an awesome affordable haircut, this is your next stop ;) read more

Been going to The Barber Shop for 20 years and my father and son go also. Three generations of hair cuttery! Kristen is the best. Always personable, professional and I have never had a bad haircut. Stop going to a nambi pambi salon and get a real haircut! read more

The Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Manchester, New Hampshire

First time visit to The Barber Shop and it was a good and relaxed experience. Barry listened to what I wanted and I brought pictures of how I wanted my cut to turn out. He meticulously cut while asking key questions for how my hair would fall. Best cut I've had in years and for under $20 how can you go wrong. Barry was very personable and we exchanged stories and upcoming vacation spots. I will definitely be going back!!! read more

Tried this place just because I was passing by. Doug cut my Asian hair perfectly. He spends his time and makes it perfect. Price is very fair, just under 20 after a good tip. read more

Berry is a great guy and does a professional job. It is like going to your old time barber but very sharp and professional. Been going there for a year. Not cookie cutter but a real hair style/cut. The pirice is more then reasonable and not a fast food hair cut. Takes his time and monitors your hair to get the best look. Call and make appointments for the next 2 months and watch the change from a quick cut to a professional sharp look! read more

Contrary to what it says here and on their door, they ABSOLUTELY require an appointment. I went there today and the woman basically threw me out. I sat in a broken down chair to wait my turn and after sitting there for 5 minutes she told me "you have to have an appointment, it says it on the door". It actually says that an appointment was recommended. The place was empty except for the man who's hair she was cutting. Not surprised with the reception I recieved. I was just looking for a new place to get a haircut but the woman was an ass! She was very rude and I'm actually glad I didn't spend any money in that business. Instead I went to Granite State Barber Shop, that was recently voted "Best Beauty/Barber shop in Manchester". I was WELCOMED there by Abdul and he gave me a FRIENDLY welcome and a great haircut. They're located on 9 Central Street. Best part is they have a rewards program, 7 haircuts and the 8th is free! I will NEVER go to the run down "the barber shop" again and suggest others don't either. I guess she told me...... read more
