I have been going to Stanley's for quite some time now and have always used the same Barber. To my disappointment he was not available on Tuesday when I went in so I was introduced to a gentleman by the name of Matt. I had never met Matt before and to be honest I was a little hesitant to try someone new. I have a very important function to attend to this weekend and had very little time to get my haircut so I decided to give him a shot. As far as the people that really know me go I am not a huge fan of change AT ALL but wow Matt was truly unbelievable from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. He was very professional but at the same time really knew how to hold a conversation. He was very receptive to my particular style of cut and what I was looking for. For someone that has never cut my hair before he did a great job and I can honestly say (No offense to my other Unnamed Barber) but I will definitely be requesting Matt the next time I come in. Thank you so much Matt. You are a true professional and I was very impressed on how well you handled a very particular old man like myself. Excellent place to get a cut and shave. Was looking for somewhere to get my sons hair cut.Wasn't really impressed with reviews of any of the local "big chain" shops. Stan's was recommended to me by a close friend and it was some of the best advice he ever gave me. My 11yo son is already asking when we can go back. He thought it was a very cool place. Told me he almost fell asleep he was so relaxed while getting his hair cut. Well worth the $35 for the 2 haircuts plus tip to both barbers. First time ever (married 21 years) my wife told me that she LOVED my son and I's haircuts.I will absolutely be returning with my son for our next cuts no question.Added bonus being able to support the local small business merchants. read more

Just went in to Stanley's for the first time in a few weeks and....WOW! If you haven't been in there lately you need to get down and check it out. So many things have changed for the better. Totally remodeled and 2 fresh new attitudes. I was more than impressed with the professionalism and the positive vibes I experienced while getting my haircut. As a female getting a mohawk, I was unsure how a trip to the barber shop would go. Matt greeted me as soon as I walked in and continued cutting the clients hair. The atmosphere was friendly, and even though I had to wait for a bit, it was not long and with all the chatting going on, I did not even notice. Matt did an excellent job of making the mohawk even and cutting the sides to the length I wanted. On my return visit for a touch up, the place had been remodeled and looks fantastic. I have been going to Stanley's for years. Matt has been my barber for the last year or so and does a great job. This past visit he was busy, so I had Steve cut my hair for me, and it also came out great. The remodel made the place look fresh, and the atmosphere was fantastic, professional and a bit of old time barber shop with conversation all around. Prices are very good and the work is quality. Stanley's is exactly what a man wants when we delve into the world of beautification; no extraneous BS, just a good haircut in a reasonable amount of time. I went in looking homeless and Matt lowered my ears and cleaned up my beard and I left there a lady killer. I was the best looking guy in the strip club that night! If you haven't seen the new look of Stanley's than you need to go down and check them out. It has a very classic barber shop feel and both barbers are friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in.
