Was impressed when I saw first saw results on my fiance that I booked a appt. It was post Covid and I just decided to cut most of the hair off due to damage. I ended up having to swing in here in a pinch, it was my first and last time. While the staff was friendly, it's apparent that the business end of this shop is suffering in many facets. My haircut was quick, as it was a very simple fade. However, asking for a medium, I ended up with a high fade. It was also not to the skin, as requested, but in hindsight, perhaps a blessing in disguise. I was pretty uncomfortable with the thought of someone like I had, using a straight blade on me. The clipper work was sloppy and overtly rough. I think that the clippers used had recently been taken apart to be cleaned / oiled, but the clippers were not properly put back together and bit me a few times. Moderately annoying to say the least. While I was in the chair, a second barber seemingly double booked themselves. Unsure if this was a barber issue, but ultimately a management failure for the barber. It seems they use multiple booking solutions. Needless to say, when the customer who was seated, was asked to leave, for someone who walked in right behind them, he wasn't happy. YMMV read more

I used to come here regularly over a decade ago and got my hair cut by Spike and it was great. I tried coming here more recently twice actually and both times were some of the worst barber experiences I've ever had. The first time I had come back in about 10 years I got my hair cut by a younger woman who refused to talk to me after I attempted several times to strike up a conversation with her she just wouldn't talk and was completely miserable. The worst part was she straight razored my neck DRY! This left my neck really red and inflamed and painful for a couple of days. I figured I would give Dudes another chance on another occasion because they were good in the past, they were in a convenient location, and their prices are some of the best in the area. This experience was worse than the 1st. Immediately when I walked in the door the barber close to the door said "Hey! did you come in to get that haircut finished!" (Mind you I am in the midst of treatment for brain cancer and had a large red colored bald spot with a scar down the middle on the back of my head as a result of my treatment, which included chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery) I told the barber I did not appreciate the comment and that I am undergoing cancer treatment, he said nothing, not even an apology. He refused to even look in my direction while I waited for my haircut. I never went back, never will be back and would not recommend anyone else go back after that experience. read more

Bad day. Been faithfully going to Dude's since they opened; every haircut without fail. Most of the original people are gone. Doug & Gayle remain but not sure who else. Went in Saturday. Was 8th on the list. Five barbers. Two people had specified that they wanted Jordan. An hour and forty five minutes later, my name came to the top of the list. Gena chose someone named Matt from halfway down the list. OK, what the hell. It's nice to have friends. Then the blonde girl in the corner walked up to a family who wasn't even on the list and asked, "Who's first?". At that point, Jordan had two stacked up, and two girls were choosing favorites. That left two barbers to handle the list, and they had both just sat someone down. I left. While driving away, I stopped at another barber shop. First time I've been in another shop in many years. Turns out that some of the original core group of Dude's people worked there. We recognized each other and i ended up with a great haircut and a new barbershop. read more

Really blown away by this little gem! Needed a haircut for my son and didn't want to go to local chains so I looked up some local barbershops. I had no idea this one was here, it's kind of tucked back from the road so you might miss it if you're not looking. There were many barbers working when we walked in, and although it was a busy day, someone was able to get to my son right away. Started out here years ago. Had no idea what I wanted for a cut and Kevin asked what I did for work. He gave me a tight cut which has morphed slightly, but which I still wear to this day. The new lady, rob and Matt have all cut my hair so that I'm not itchy after and can go right to work. This cannot be said for another barbershop in the area which I tried a few times. Loved this place. Until today. I went in to see my usual Barber Phil. When I walked in the door I sat down, and a lady said "I can take you over here." I had never had my hair cut by this woman and didn't want my hair cut by anyone BUT Phil. I told her "I'm going to wait for Phil." She then stated "You will be waiting a while, Phil no longer works here." I asked "Do you know where he is now?" She then exclaimed "I'm not at liberty to say!" So I left. I feel like the woman could have at least pulled me outside or something. A barber is a service, and every barber has a different style. Phil has exceeded all of my expectations every time I've worked with him, and he knows my hair like the back of his hand. I understand the need to not promote another barbershop within your own. Still, I found the tone of this lady aggressive. Alas, I still wanted my hair cut by Phil. I later found out that Phil works right down the street from Dudes. At Handsome Devils Barber shop. After 6 months or so going to a hair stylist walking into Dude's Barber Shop was a refreshing experience. Service was quick and appropriately gruff. I explained what I wanted and my guy got to work right away and did an excellent job. I LOVE DUDE'S BARBERSHOP!!! They've been cutting my son's hair for almost 10 years! (Since he was 3) They have NEVER given my son a bad haircut, we always leave happy and satisfied with the results. When he was little they'd even do the spray die for fun and he loved it. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Dude's! Great prices, talented barbers and friendly atmosphere, just all around fantastic! My personal favorites are Doug, Gail, Matt and I think Josh? (Sorry if I'm wrong. He ALWAYS has customers waiting for him, is pretty funny and loves his family and his sneaker game is on point!) Oh and Molly when she's there walking around like a boss! I should mention my son has ALWAYS loved getting his hair cut so he wasn't a pain in the a$$ when he was younger. I won't be returning to this place ever, asked for a very simple cut and the guy that did it didn't listen at all, and was doing nothing but complaining, dropping an F bomb every other word and going into detail about all the "chicks he's railed". This place is hit or miss. I had a terrible haircut yesterday by a guy who rushed it, dropping the F bomb every other word, and had me out the door in less than 20 minutes. He missed spots and did not seem to care or like his job. In fact, I went to a different barber down the street an hour later to repair the damage. I won't go back unless Floyd is working. read more

I'm sorry that when I called to inform you of this lateness the phone call was not received, I'm sorry that 8 minutes into our appointment time you felt the need to inform me of how more important the next clients session was then my sons, I'm sorry that my 4 year old son stressed you out to the point of you having to tell him he needed to leave , I'm sorry that my 7 year old that was sitting in your chair hasn't over come his hair cut anxieties and requires a more humble approach , i'm sorry that you felt the need to lash out at him for not staying still , making it so more traumatizing for him . I'm sorry that your time was wasted ,I'm sorry you received $46 for any inconveniences we may have caused... Dude's Barbershop is the BEST in the area by far. The atmosphere is welcoming. The barbers who have cut my family's hair have been professional and very competent. My son was incredibly nervous about haircuts when we first started going, but Glenn has always been so patient and accommodating with him. This place used to be amazing. But the last two haircuts I got there were so bad I ended up giving myself a buzz cut with my beard trimmer when I got home. The person who cut my hair didn't follow a single instruction, despite having a cell phone with pictures up the whole time. My haircut was the polar opposite of what was in the pictures. Its like the person didn't listen to a word I said. It was a particular shame because I had grown out my hair especially for the haircut I had in mind, and what I asked for was so simple. Their prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and they do a very good job. I've never waited longer than 20 min even when the waiting area is packed. My son just left Dude's with quite possibly the worst haircut ever. He asked for a clean up and ended up with a shaved head with a clump of hair in front. Cut is so bad we will have to try to get it fixed elsewhere. Kevin always does great cuts but the older brunette who butchered his hair this morning should not be licensed. We just walked into another salon who gasped at how bad it is. I attached a photo in the photo section of this yelp page. Buyer beware of this stylist.
