I get my hair cut here on a regular basis. All of the Barbers are very skilled. If you make an appointment, there is usually no wait(unless some Jack A$$ ahead of you is late for his. Don't be Jack) I recommend Zac or Michelle, but like I wrote they're all good. The price is fair and the place is clean, the haircuts are awesom. read more

Just moved to town and wanted a cut from a traditional barber shop. Chose ABS because they were open early and to walk-ins. I will definitely be back! Worst barbershop ive ever went to. 3 years ago they used to have barbers that would cut your hair with upmost care but now almost all of their staff is trainees who little to no experience. I've never have a haircut where someone doesn't listen to what I'm saying about how I want my haircut done and then they don't do it at all. Snarky attitude and horrible people to be around. Your only chance at this god forsaken barbershop is to schedule an appointment with some of their barbers who have actual experience and have been working there for years if there is any even left. read more

I have been getting my haircut here since I moved to Concord a year ago. I chose it because it had ok reviews. However this is a teacher barber shop, and most of the people cutting hair should still be shadowing. During my last visit, my barber took care of the sides, back and front of my hair while not even touching the top. This left me with a haircut worse than what I could have done myself. The visit prior to that, my barber did a great job but took over an hour for a haircut that is as simple as it gets. This was a problem for me because I had a torn labrum, an injury that causes a lot of pain when forced to sit for extended time periods. Very disappointing after trusting this place as my barber shop and never getting my haircut anywhere else. It would be one thing if they told me, but they acted as if I just insulted them when I asked about the apprentices I thought were barbers. In short they pass off barbers with no experience as professionals. The term studio apparently applies to a school in the barber world, unlike everywhere else where it is the place where the magic happens. No magic happening here. read more

Just got my hair cut at this location earlier today. I'm only in town for a day or so and this was my only chance to get a cut before returning to work. I work with kids, and hair pulling can be an issue, so shortness of hair is a virtue. These guys have a great space and are really attentive to detail. This was the most precise cut I've ever had and at a very reasonable price. Only downside is cash or check only! read more

Today was the second time I've taken my two young sons to American Barber. Each time I have been extremely impressed with both cuts, and the patience of the barbers themselves. I will be returning here with them each time they need a cut, and will make a point to drive here from Epsom for this experience. They are polite, funny and attentive to detail. Our older son, at 3, asks to go and get his hair cut here, and really enjoys his time in the chair. $13 for a kid's cut, very reasonable and worth every penny. I will first off start by saying the staff is great and their skills are just as great. My brother and boyfriend go there and my boyfriend is actually close friends with one of the barbers. Always great cuts, and always a great time hanging out there. First come, first serve and if you want a specific barber they are always really great about that. Great with kids and they have lollipops and waters for their customers. The dogs are a plus :) Well behaved and always a nice way to brighten up your day. read more
