I was in desperate need of a haircut so I went to Barber Shop Uno (BSU) after surfing Yelp reviews of local barbers, and the reviews for BSU were spot on. The shop was pretty empty as it was the middle of a weekday, but that was no indication of the quality of the barber. I typically go only to stylists that have been recommended to me by somebody I trust because my hair is about as straight as it gets so any mistakes are readily visible. The cut I got from Alex - on my first ever visit - was perfect, and the price was more than reasonable. I've definitely found my new barber! read more

Natalya does an amazing job. She is the best barber I have ever had. I live in Palm Springs, CA and have family in New Hampshire and have been going to her when I come back to MHT. Between trips to NH, I have to get haircuts and shaves in CA, or elsewhere, and they are never as good as Natalya. She is a true professional and takes pride in what she does. Another benefit to going here is that the place across the street, PINDOS, has the cheapest prices I have seen anywhere. So, I try to see Natalya for a haircut and shave and then cross the street to eat at a great place, that is affordable. 2 wonderful businesses across the street from each other. read more

I stopped by my regular barber and the shop was closed, but there was a sign on the window that said, "For a haircut go to 54 Massabesic Street". Being adventurous, I did what the sign said. Outside the shop at 54 Massabesic are two signs. One says, Jerry's Barber Shop". The other, newer one says, "Barber Shop UNO". Inside are a husband and wife team, Alec and Natasha. Both of them cut hair. Alec runs the place and seems to coach Natasha on the finer points of cutting. Natasha cut my hair, trimmed my ears, offered to trim my middle-aged eye brows (I declined), and shaved my neck. Very professional. Very precise. Very inexpensive ($12). I'll be back. read more

I've been coming here Since Alex took over the shop; must be since around 2003. Later, when he got married, he trained his wive Natasha to cut hair. Now they have two kids and thoughts of expanding. For the past 15 years I got my hair cut at a national chain. The price started at $7.99. Now it is 21.99. Not only did price triple but I have 1/2 the hair! And I am way too young for any type of old dude discount. I've been twice to Barber Shop Uno and the Mrs. cut my hair. She does a phenomenal job, much better than anyone, ever, at the chain. Plus there are extras I totally forgot about that they supply. More importantly, the haircut remains looking great weeks afterward, unlike the chains. I came here based on Uriah J.s recommendation, and I'm here to stay. Both Alex and Natasha put a lot of time and care into your cut. I've got a hellish cowlick that brings many barbers to their knees. The first time I went here, my wife said it was the best cut I've ever had. Alex always has documentaries playing on TVs. I love that. Their $12 haircut is a steal. I travel a lot and sometimes have to find another barber. I always come back to Alex and Natasha. read more
