During the event, a few of us were near the storefront, and the owner came out and told us we were not allowed to be on or near the property. What surprised me was that there were no customers inside at the time, so the interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Instead of seeing it as an opportunity to introduce people to the store, the approach was abrupt and dismissive. The tone alone made the situation uncomfortable. I understand everyone can have an off day, but the way we were spoken to felt disrespectful. I was also surprised by the pricing. Many items seemed extremely marked up, in some cases appearing higher than their original retail value, which defeats the purpose of shopping somewhere associated with deals. After reading other reviews, I'm confused because they don't reflect the experience I had. I'll be attending another event nearby soon, but honestly, I'm anxious about returning because of how we were treated. There are many other businesses in the area that offer both competitive pricing and welcoming customer service, and I would personally choose to support those instead.

No reservations and walk-ins only so there may be a wait. They have a wide selection available with varying price points and designers. The dresses are also sorted through sizes too which is helpful. You have a set of pins (I think around 10?) and you add pins to the hangers of dresses you are interested in. Attendants are friendly and attentive to you. I went to Glamour Closet twice, about 2 months apart from one another. The second time, I initially came for just didn't give that spark. I saw a dress on the mannequin that I inquired and voila! It was a new arrival so no one in the store had tried it on yet and looked brand new with original tags still on. I ended up purchasing a Monique Lhuillier from the Spring 2020 Bridal Collection, gown 'Kiss' which retailed for $5,900.00 and it was priced nearly 60% off. Glamour Closet had the best price even from other resellers I could find online. Since the dress was already my size, my alterations were just about length and adding custom sleeves with the extra fabric. I was happy with my purchase at the end of the day!

I did my research and based on when I ordered, they said it would take 14 business days so I decided to call and share my situation and told them when my event was. The guy who answered the phone. He was great. He would assured me that I would have my shipment well before my event so I decided to make an appointment and drive hour and a half for a fitting appointment. I then again asked them there just to confirm I would have my shipment prior to my engagement and both of them told me I would have it at least 2 to 3 days prior to that event so I decided to move forward paid and then I get a FedEx that sells a shipment was coming two days after my event so I called to see if this was correct because I had spoken to three other people and all three confirmed I would have it before before my event. But come to find out the information I was given before ordering the tuxedo was wrong. The person on the other end of the phone told me that it would not arrive before my event it would arrive after my event. I decided to ask for a refund. They've been told me I would have to wait until they got it rerouted to them. Well, it's been a week. It has been rerouted and they have yet to process my refund. I would rethink before I would do business with a company like this, and they will not be seeing any business for me in the future.

Maybe its just me being optimistic with the internet and technology these days, but I am proven wrong with Black Tux. If for example your previous 'fit" as they call it, didnt fit and you ordered a replacement, wouldnt a 'smart' thing for the service to do is update your profiles 'fit' so next time you order it will be updated with what actually fits you? Guess not. Heres where the mess goes even further. I ordered my rental on Oct 2nd and it said the estimated delivery was Oct 9th. I didnt get a notification that it shipped until Oct 11 and didnt receive the order until late night the 14th, which is 5 days away from my event. So I have less than a day really to try it on and request a replacement so I can guarantee it comes in time. Solution? They offer free rush shipping on replacements if within 48 hours of the delivery date. WRONG. I ordered my replacement within hours of receiving the initial order and I was prompted to pay at-least $20 shipping to receive within 2-3 days (too close) or $40 for 1-2 days (still tight on timing but should be fine. Of course later on you see in the fine-print that any replacement order within 13 days of the event, the rush shipping is no longer free. So, do the math, the ESTIMATED delivery date was already within the 13 days!! What a scam. Just to add to the BS of this service, the jacket showed up more wrinkled than my 90-year old grandfather, so now I need to pay for rushed dry cleaning. Oh wait, you cant dry-clean these!!! Last, but certainly not least, this tux was not cheap to begin with. For a full 'get-up' I am paying a minimum of $300 to RENT a tux and I get the lovely experience described above..... DO NOT USE. Spend the extra time to go to a real rental company like Friar Tux. They check your 'fit' in person before you rent, and they even check when your suit is ready so they can make sure it all works. Pretty sure its about 15-20% cheaper too......How nice is that??

From the very beginning, Jerry took the time to guide me through the entire process of building my first custom suit. We carefully reviewed every detail, from the collar to the cuffs, and I quickly realized just how meticulous the art of suit-making truly is or perhaps that level of precision is simply Jerry's signature. At the first fitting, Jerry proudly presented the finished suit and shirt, walking me through every thoughtful detail. He explained the stitching, pointed out how the trousers were subtly tailored at the hem to drape perfectly over the shoes, highlighted the custom embroidery, and even showed the sweat guards sewn into the suit--along with countless other details I would have never noticed on my own. His enthusiasm and pride in his craft were unmistakable, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about creating something exceptional for his clients. I walked away with an incredible suit and tie, and an even greater appreciation for the craftsmanship and passion that Jerry brings to his work.

I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.

For a luxury designer store where I bought two bridal gowns, a bolero, and a veil, I expected a lot…read moremore from the store in terms of client service & alterations. This is my experience with the store for my October wedding in '25. Everything was fine up until I came in for my fitting, Talia, the alterations supervisor who's aggressive gave me a speech of what was going to be done, in a way that was lecture. It was not a pleasant experience and I was taken aback. The next three fittings were confusing because I was told that the fittings would take up to 2hrs, yet they only lasted 20mins, 30mins tops. Hardly anything was done. She could have done so much with that time. The 3rd time I was there, I tried on one of my dresses which I wasn't going to get bustled. I forgot and asked her, "Will this dress be bustled?" Talia aggressively responded, "You said you wasn't going bustle this dress!" Who speaks to a client like that? They way she said that was very aggressive. On the 4th fitting, apparently, they overbooked so Talia disappeared mid-fitting to attend to another client. She almost had some other person help me out. I was given a candle the next time I came as an apology, which I wouldn't have received until I mentioned that I'm concerned about my gowns being finished in time to Sammie, my SA. There were a few times during my fittings and it seemed like she went and took bites of food --- I'm not sure why they said it was OK to come in during her lunch time? The next three fittings I was made to feel like there was not enough time to get things done --- I wonder why? I came in for a total of SIX fittings, which should have been more than enough time. I suggested the "sixth" fitting with the way things were going because it seemed like they needed more time. The plan was to come in at 10am so that they had all day to work on my gowns before pickup day. The next day was the day before my wedding day, my pick-up day. Talia to me to come anytime after 1:30pm and that I didn't have to call beforehand. I told her that I'd be there at 3ish before I head over to my rehearsal dinner. Me telling her 3pm shouldn't haven't been code for you have until 3pm to work on my gowns. That day was for pick up ---- not for extended time for alterations. The point of me giving them a sixth fitting was so that they had the extra 24+hrs to making finishing touches. Talia had told me to come in in the morning for that purpose. Monique must remember me sitting there the day before at 10am waiting for them to take me in for my final fitting because she was there and saw me in Oct. I changed my mind and wanted to pick up my gowns before 3pm so I emailed my SA, but she said because I told Talia that I would come at 3pm, that the gowns were still being sewed even after 1:30pm. What the heck?! First of all, I do not want my gowns to be sewn so last min and it worried me that they were rushing and there would be issues with the dresses. I was worried about the end-product of my dresses so I emailed Sammy back, who I could sense that she had an argument with Talia. If she hadn't, then she sure had a passive aggressive tone in her email that I didn't appreciate. Throughout my fittings, there were two instances where Talia forgot or totally made up something about the next fitting. I don't even remember anymore. I'm the client here. I am a kind person, so I brushed it off until I was disrespected on my pick-up day. I asked my SA to please double check the dress and make sure that everything is perfect. I got no response. Her excuse was that she was busy with a client. I don't care. When I came to pick up my dress, I had to wait yet again, for another 10-15mins until they brought it down. No one apologized --- neither person came to greet me that day. Pick up day should be reserved for picking up the dress not making finishing touches on it because they didn't use their time wisely. Sure enough there were issues with the finished product. I was putting on my bolero - which was never worn btw, two people helping me put on my bolero said that there was a big hole by the buttons. I was skeptical, until J.Scheer, the dress cleaning & preservation company informed me of this as well. This is a bolero that is over 2k. The side bust on the Soleil had issues too according to J. Scheer which shouldn't have been there. I regret buying the most important dresses of my life here. This is not how a luxury bridal store should operate. It's shameful and I wouldn't recommend anyone getting their most important piece of clothing there. Service for me was great until I bought my gowns, and it went down hill during alterations. ML isn't fitting you or having her couture team do alterations. It's a different team. I should've mentioned that my FIL is a world-renowned celebrity --- perhaps then I would have received better service. I shouldn't have to.
