Hanaya Asian Fusion - Flower Mound One of the best fried rice in town! Staff always happy and greet returning customers. Rice is such a delicate dish, like fish. You can undercook, or overcook it. This place... Nails it, every time. Both white and fried. Most of the time I prefer white rice, much healthier. But, there's something magical happening with your taste buds when you eat their fried rice. Almost hard to put it in writing. I encourage you to visit and try it for yourself. Be the judge. The dishes are always, generous and presentable. The side salad with a pink dressing are among of my favorites. Salad always looks fresh, full of great ingredients. Side soup is always fresh, hot and delicious. Even though it's located at Lakeside, Flower Mound, every time I've visited, I've never felt in Flower Mound. They've done a great job making you feel transformed into a place of relaxation and enjoyment. Always clean and well lit. Bar area is another of my favorites to highlight. I don't drink alcohol but I've always appreciated a good bar setup. It's elegant and simplistic. And, of course, I can't forget that they have additional seating area if you want to have a fun presentation of watching how your food is made. Highly recommend! I've eaten at both sides and the service is always outstanding. I've never had a bad experience. If you're looking to have a nice time and great fresh food, "Hanaya Asian Fusion," is the right spot for you. I can't recommend it enough.

Tasty japanese food and great service at the hibachi table. I ordered ribey with fried rice, and it was cooked to perfection. The cook was skillful and very friendly, so it was entertaining to follow the show. Sunday early afyernoon was peaceful - the place was almost empty - but there is plenty of room for serving various parties either in hibachi room or other side. Decent prices for such a high quality menus and special experience. I would definitely come back.

Makes 3 meals, great portion sizes!

Decided to order in tonight for the Mavs game. I went with the trio Hibachi(NY strip steak, shimp, chicken). Meal also included rice, veggies, miso soup and salad. Good portion size that will usually last me 2 meals. A lot of complaints of being expensive, but this was $33 and lasts 2 meals. I consider that a slam dunk! Hanaya always comes in clutch! Go Mavs! Update, actually 3 meals! Game Winner!

I've always loved hibachi restaurants because I enjoy the way they cook and entertain people with their playful cooking style. I've visited a few different places in the area, but this was my first time coming here. The food was okay, but Chef Kevan was really nice and took great care of me. The place itself has a cool vibe

We chose Hanaya for our Christmas Eve dinner reservations. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and Christmas Eve seemed like the perfect celebration to do so. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed. Our waitress was the highlight of our experience. She was very attentive and on point. She gets five stars. Our hibachi chef was good as well - very entertaining presentation with a couple new tricks we haven't seen before. However, the food was average at best. We only had hibachi, so maybe the sushi is better? I had the hibachi tofu, and it was simply not good. I realize tofu is probably not an entrée that many people choose, but it was extremely gritty and difficult to eat. My husband said his shrimp and chicken were okay. Behind the festive Christmas lights, and the restaurant itself seemed to need some interior refreshing. I also have mixed feelings on the large screen TVs that are over the hibachi tables. While it was nice to keep an eye on the Cowboys game, most folks don't choose a hibachi restaurant as their football watching destination. The whole experience felt rushed. I understand that it was Christmas Eve and perhaps on a different evening we would have not felt like our dining experience was a race to the finish, but that is unacceptable at this price point. We were not offered a dessert menu or coffee, and I found myself gulping down what was remaining of the single class of wine I had as the staff was prepping the table for the next party.

Great service and even better food! I got the filet minon & shrimp combo and was delish. Really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back again.

2 out of the last 3 years our service has been absolutely horrible. What kind of restaurant would take reservations a month in advance and have the chaos that iv witnessed year after year is beyond me. A 630 reservation pushed to 6:40 and then were given the option to sit dine in instead with our party of 8. Again scheduled a month in advance. And the second year in a row, all I can say is get it get it together and plan your reservations better. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that restaurants will be busier and people will eat for longer over the holidays. For the price we will not ever be back. Stick to Asahi

came with my wife and loved every bit. must try scallops if you like seafood!! bring the kids

Great lunch on Sunday. It was super busy bc of Mother's Day on the hibachi side. Withdrawal highly recommended reservations. We had sushi. The crab rangoons were yummy. Sushi options were plentiful. I liked their riceless food but was able to substitute the cucumber wrapper for the soybean wrap. All great food and service.

Not off to a good start, but it is a Friday night... and it took nearly 10 minutes just to find a parking space. 7PM reservation... after 7:30 before seated... 8PM and they are just taking our order. Salad at 8:10. Started cooking at 8:15. Had to ask for chopsticks three times. Also had to get up and leave the table, to ask for my steamed rice. Am I the only person who doesn't eat fried rice? And why do they serve fried rice immediately, and then wait to bring the steamed rice? Pretty much your typical hibachi atmosphere, however, it looks exceptional clean! Crowd is exceptional noisy tonight, even for this type of dining. One waiter taking 2 tables orders... went slow. Large menu, with great looking selections. Pricing in line with other restaurants like this. Order the fillet and scallops. At all other hibachi restaurants I've been to, they serve a shrimp appetizer, but not here, apparently. Scallops came first, a nice portion and they tasted great. On the other hand, the filet was not prime (likely choice) and over cooked. The vegetables were mostly zucchini and onions (but I love onions) with broccoli (a plus), but only a piece or two of mushroom. The chef put on a great show, but overall, mark me disappointed. This was my first time here, and I always hope that it was just a bad night/not typical. But given all my choices for hibachi restaurant, I'll probably go someplace else next time.

I was sat quickly at the bar, and then seemed to be forgotten about. I did wait a while before a man came to me to take my drink order, and then things progressed quickly. Though everyone who ended up being sat after me were immediately taken care of. I ordered the sushi and sashimi bento box. I sat at the sushi bar so I was able to watch how things were prepared. Everything comes out quickly, as all of the proteins are pre sliced and ready to go. They were busy and the turn around is quick. They also do a lot of to go orders, and those were stacked up by the front door. I thought the quality of the fish was good for the price. I really liked the ginger dressing that comes on the salad, though it is a wild color. The gyoza just tasted like frozen dumplings you can buy at the store, and then deep fried. But they were good. The rice was cooked properly, and not mushy at all. The only thing I didn't care for was the California roll. It was super goopy and just tasted like mayo. I had to leave that alone. The atmosphere is very noisy and if you are sitting at the sushi bar, you hear the constant beeping of their order machine. I may try them again for dinner if it is a bit quieter, or takout seems like a good option, though there is no online ordering on their website.
