This was my first time dining at this establishment. The soup was mediocre, and the steak was somewhat tough in texture, which suggest it was previously frozen. The noodles, which had an orange color to them lacked flavor. The shrimp were pretty decent in size but had a fishy taste to them. Since finding and discovering this spot a week ago I have been here 4 times LOL it stays BUSY with 3-10 people in here waiting for their food at any given time. This is an unassuming spot next to Fatburger , that is open late. Its a "Benihana Style" Teppanyaki place. They've got a wide selection of protein choices like steak, chicken, shrimp. Each plate comes with veggies and steamed rice - do yourself a favor and upgrade to FRIED RICE! They also have a steak menu aside from the usual plates. I cant wait to try everything else here. The price is very reasonable, averaging $10-15, its a great value and quick. There is seating here but the previous reviews are right it is kind of dirty. Most people do take out and go. For some reason their online order and phone is down, sucks because it would be more efficient for call-ins! read more

I'm local, so i get the hype for the area, but i always thought their lunch/dinner plates were over-priced. I wasn't super hungry, so decided to order the 5pc shrimp tempura with a side order of fried rice and a drink for $10. It was my first time trying their fried rice. The shrimp tempura were good. They're frozen and pre-made. I could tell right away they're not house made. Tasted like the kind i buy at vons. Still good though. I could also tell the fried rice was cooked in ALOT of soy sauce. It was really flavorful, mostly of soy sauce. Tasted like a soy sauce rice more than a typical fried rice. Didn't have any onions or scallions in it either. Just plain rice cooked in alot of soy sauce with tiny pieces of (barely) egg. Don't like that they charge 1.99 for a "large" drink, but the cup is a medium styrofoam cup. All in all, this place isn't terrible, but just know there are far better Japanese/teppanyaki places just a small drive away. read more

We literally sat down for like 3 minutes and our food was already ready. I didn't even hear them cooking/warming up the food. The food wasn't hot and the flavor just wasn't the same as it used to be. Ok this review will not be to long do to the fact that the teriyaki from here is mediocre. I got the chicken teriyaki w/ veggies and fried rice (which I should have stood with the one that comes with the plate which is white rice) anyway the fried rice was just meh but the veggies now!!.. were perfect. I always like a place that makes food when ordered... it's the only way to eat out instead of the traditional fast food places like BK or Mcds... we ordered 2 plates paid $34 which is a bit pricey but we substituted the rice with noodles and my wife added meat to her dish.. however If you think about it, it's not that much more.. any fast food joint is going to charge you 25 bucks for 2 combos but at least here, the food is fresh and not sitting there all day... I chose my carb to be chow mein instead of rice and boy were my amigos sad they didn't get the chow mein once they got a taste of mine. I have to rerate this place from when was good .....ok so rightfully so due to covid dine in not available which i never did anyway ...went in for pick up pre paid through food app because of discount....the inside of the restuarant was disgusting!.. boxes everywhere floor dirty ...what i noticed behind the counter : flies so many the owner casually shooed them away as he was stacking the call in orders on the counter.. raw meat ..fish shrimp left out in no container ...cross contamination...the cook and older man no gloves finger nails disgusting no mask .. i ordered salmon and filet mignon the salmon smelled so fishy it literally made me sick from having in my car less then 2 minutes i literally threw away wasted 13 bucks usually 22 but was discounted which is why i pre paid the combination of seeing how gross and unsanitary the inside was from the flies to left out raw foods to fish smelling super fishy which is a clear indication its bad very disappointed in this establishment will not be eating here again such a shame as there as so few healthy options in Compton... Take the time close the restaurant throughly clean it have chefs wear mask and gloves, don't leave raw foods unrefrigerated just do better even if you don't think Compton residents deserve better, we do. read more

I visited this place yesterday. Dirty, dirty, dirty! Down to the grill!! The cook Bruce (or whatever his name is) scratched under his right eye with his pinky finger. Then used his thumb to scratch under his nose. He then proceeds to grab a container of shrimp, and toss it on the grill. Yuck!! Unorganized, unsanitary, and disgusting! Dirty grill= dirty food!
