Ok so get this little weird bit of info you probably never knew. A BBQ propane tank is called…read more20lbs. But full it weights 38.7lbs. It's not because there is 20 lbs of propane or because the empty tank weights 20lbs (but it's pretty close). It is because if the tank was filled to 100% it would hold 20lbs. However you never fill a propane tank 100%. 80-85% is typical. So if you buy 20lbs of propane here you actually get about 17lbs. Sounds like something is fishy no? It isn't. This is actually a good deal. Strong'd charges $23 for 17lbs. If you do the propane tank exchange think it costs $28 plus tax and you really only get 15lbs. The pain part is they do not always fill propane tanks. They have limited hours because only some of the employees can fill the tanks. I really felt like I was getting ripped off when I noticed my propane tank says 15lbs but they just charged me for 20lbs. After further research I am happy to report a good deal. And I fortunately didn't make to big of an a55 of myself.

The most recent episode was during the serious storm damage Eversource suffered about a month ago. We were relying on our generator; I was concerned about our fuel level because it looked like it was going to be (and was) a multi-day loss of power. Paraco immediately made a delivery, on a Sunday morning. We have used Paraco as well to help with our propane fireplace; they folks--Jerry specifically--were great. I don't think, in 12 years, I have had a single bad experience with Paraco.

And they don't listen to the customers nor do they act upon any agreements, contracts, or complaints. I had problems with them immediately when they took over Consumer's Propane business in June, 2025. It was so bad that I decided to switch companies. As a result, I told them to remove me from automatic delivery as I want to drain the tanks before moving onto a new company. Yet, I had to contact them 3 times before they finally removed the automatic delivery status. And, even though this was noted on their company account, they still chose to ignore it and did an automatic delivery anyway in the Fall. I was very upset by this but they totally ignored my feelings. The price they charged me was much higher than what the new company was going to charge me. Finally, in November, Kelly tel me to say she would help me by having the Tanks removed immediately after I switched over to a new company and she would credit the remaining propane back to me. In December, 2025, when the tanks were at 30%, I switched companies. But when I tried reaching Kelly, Customer Service personnel absolutely refused to put the call thru to Kelly. They said they would handle picking up the tanks. It's now May 15, 2026 and the tanks haven't been removed six months later. When I keep calling to ask for Kelly, they become extremely petty and start playing head games with me. I believe they are relishing my misery over this. And are enjoying every minute. So I don't recommend anybody doing business with this company and the childish, totally irresponsible customer service staff. At different times, I spoke to both male and females to no avail. I assume they don't want me to contact Kelly because she would immediately solve this issue and be nice to me. I doubt they will credit the left over propane to my account. I feel hopeless.

Anchor replaced dampers, tuned furnace, updated thermostats. Now better heat distribution, quieter and using less oil - each very noticable. Also big: they set me up with PROPANE tanks & supply. So we could combine suppliers and get away from the big propane company in this area which reminds me of the cable company in terms of customer "service."

Had them come to clean my grill. $75/half hour. The first time the guy said it was done, I went out…read moreto look at it and he never did the bottom of the grates, said I'd have to burn it off, and the grease drawer was on the ground uncleaned. The second time he said he was done, he had done the bottom of the grates and put the drawer back in the grill. I had to take care of something, so I paid him, gave him a tip, and he left. I just checked (almost three hours later), and he never cleaned the drawer. Maybe he wiped it down, but it's filthy. And he never cleaned the sizzle station burner. The top of the grate is spotless, but the bottom is disgusting. I could wipe off the grease with a paper towel, so it's not like it was baked on. And the tub that the burner sits in is filled with grease. Now I have to take it apart and do his job but no one is going to pay me $150/hour to do it. Do not hire these people to clean your grill. They're counting on you not checking and just cooking right over last year's grease. I even told the guy who made the appointment that it usually takes me over four hours to clean it, and he said it would take them an hour. Yeah, when you don't clean, it can take as long or as short as you want it to.

The driver charged $350.00 for a 10 minute job. My friend offered to pay by credit card but the driver insisted on cash and followed my friend to the bank. My friend asked if there was some kind of veteran discount and explained that he is a wounded combat veteran. The driver and the owner who I called later DID NOT CARE. They're just about money. I truly hope there is such a thing as Karma and they pay for how they treat people. Another friend broke down just three blocks from their shop. They charged $1,500.00 to tow the truck three blocks. They said it was because my friend could not get a ride to pick up the car for a couple of days. Please, spread the word and find someone else if you need any work done on your car or need a tow.
