Hampton Pools installed my pool almost 10 years ago. They have always been very prompt and reliable to the few issues we have had. We recently had to replace a control board--we thought--but our service tech was able to get the manufacture on the phone and come up with a much cheaper fix. Well here goes...I have been dealing with Hampton Pools in McDonough and they are the WORST!!!!! They have been working on my pool for 3 full weeks and you still can't see the bottom. Buy these chemicals, buy this part, all they are in the business to do is sell, sell ,sell. After almost $1000 in parts and chemicals they charge me another $75 to vacuum a pool that you can't even see the bottom. Warning .....DO NOT USE HAMPTON POOLS! read more

I read the previous review and felt as though I should give my review of Hampton Pools. I have spent over $65,000.00 with Hampton Pools since 2005 with one custom install and their first fiberglass pool installation here in Henry County. From installation to service I have nothing but great appreciation for this company and the superior customer service I have received. The owners stay involved, the ladies in the store are always polite and helpful and their prices are very competitive. I highly recommend them for installation and service. No review of a company should be based on whether you are allowed to park in their lot on the busiest day in McDonough each year as it is understandable that these businesses must keep some spaces open for their customers. I went to Hampton pool to have my water tested. I was told I need all these chemicals so I purchased them. I put half the chemicals in and the next weekend took another sample back and was told I need some other chemicals which were not the chemicals I had left from the weekend before. I asked if I could return the rest of chemicals which had never been opened and were clearly still sealed and they told me you can not return them. I asked "why not?" they said it's their policy, but they are the ones who told me I needed all of them when I obviously didn't based on my latest sample. So they sell you all this stuff and will not swap out for other chemicals. I will never shop there again. read more

Hampton Pools installed our pool and it is beautiful! We continue to use them for service and supplies and could not recommend them enough. They offer competitive pricing and are extremely helpful. Jeff met my wife when she was trying to get information from the county about permitting a new pool. Because of septic issues we did not think a pool was possible. Jeff came by and helped us get the permitting with his extensive knowledge of the process. The one thing through my research about picking the company to build a pool was you want the owner engaged in the whole process. Jeff was on site at "every" stage of construction. He actually was engaged in the process before, during and after the pool was completed. I have lost count of the mistakes I have made with our salt water pool. Jeff used what I found out after the fact the best equipment that even I have the ability to maintain. Today I sent a text with problems with my pool and he contacted me within the hour and fixed my problem as a courtesy. You get what you pay for, his decisions although not the cheapest added the best value for our money, so if you always wanted a pool but are unsure of who to trust I recommend Jeff and Hampton Pools to everyone! read more

Just wanted to speak about how "not" to treat a customer. After I spent $100.00 on chemicals/supplies today and $75.00 two days prior, I politely asked if I could leave my car parked at their store while I walked up to the festival. ( I only spent 45 minutes at the Geranium festival). They told me no, that they would be towing cars. Well guess what? That is the absolute last time I ever set foot in Hampton Pools! read more

Hampton Pools installed my pool in 2014, and I was very pleased with the workmanship and ease of doing business with them. I have continued to use them to analyze the water samples and purchase whatever chemicals are needed. In the past few years, I have noticed that they have discontinued the 10% discount for folks that had their pool installed by them. I have also noticed that they have changed to brands that seem to be more expensive. I called this afternoon to see if they were open so that I could have water analyzed. The answering machine picked up and informed me that they were closed for Thanksgiving until November 26. I made the wrong assumption and drove 12+ miles to the store thinking they would be open since the message was so obviously out of date. Nope, closed until January 2, 2019. Poor customer service and a waste of my time. Turned around and went to another pool store (closer to my home) where my water was analyzed and I bought the chemicals that were needed. read more

Frustrating from day 1-we are happy with the end result and the pool looks great-but the service, communication and follow up are lacking greatly. We've had to call them back out several times after construction and we are extremely dissatisfied with the service. read more

Looks like to me that Hampton Pools has gotten too big. Taking care of it's original customers is not something that they care about doing. We have had a color wheel replaced in our fiber optics lighting system twice. We turn these lights on once or twice a season and yet they still do not work. So now I have to pay $125.00 for Hampton Pools to come out and tell me what is wrong. Also, we have an in pool light that has not worked since the pool was installed many years ago. Not sure how David became an Electrician because his electrical work on our pool was terrible. Now Hampton pools wants to charge me $500.00 to fix that light. I looked on the internet and it takes 15 to 20 minutes to do this. Thinking about doing it myself because $500.00 for 20 minutes is good money almost just like a "loan shark" type of money. I like Jeff, he has been good to us over the years, but I think his business has grown so much that customer service for his original customers is out the window. Just call the office and we will schedule you a $125.00 service fee. I guess it is time for me to find another pool company that is not so busy. I will be sure to recommend my new company to everyone and not Hampton pools because looks like Hampton Pools does not need the business. read more
