WELCOME TO HAMPTON PARK!
Someone broke my car window on the driver's side, as a welcome to Hampton Park on the second night after I moved in.
The Tigard cop just simply told me: "I'm writing the report, but it's not likely that we would ever catch that person!"
Oh OK. It's just another ... cold case!
The owners have continued raising the rent to the point that some tenants can no longer afford to live at Hampton park.
Within a week after Christmas, there were three tenants moving out. Their facial expressions told of their sorrow for having to move. They appeared to be embarrassed for not having the ability to afford their apartment and angry because the owners have suddenly raised the rent to where they can no longer afford to live at Hampton Park. The look on their children's faces of having to move out of their home so soon after Christmas was very disturbing. One of them just left their little girl's cute little bed on the covered parking spot for 2 days in the freezing temperature. I wish them luck on finding new homes, better homes!
Whoever can afford a nearly 10% increasing of the rent every year, welcome to move in their old places! Hampton Park Website is looking for other victims to move in the 2-bed-room vacant apartments...
Not me! I was moving back to my mommy and daddy's home sweet home!
Some of the neighbors are so hostile and overly sensitive about noise. They don't seem to understand that this is a daily apartment living. Do they think that they live in their private mansion by themselves?
If you have your TV on at a reasonable volume (guess what, from 7:00AM to 10:00PM!!! Not even at the quiet hours from 10:PM to 7:00AM), sometimes the commercials are broadcast at a higher volume; Then some neighbors will complaint to management right away without considering the fact they are living in apartment and need to be more tolerant of their neighbors. Management will be so glad, without considering all the facts, or investigating the circumstances will take the false complaint and threaten you with a penalty. Bingo! If you get another complaint like that in the same year, you'll get a fine of $50.00! Easy free money, huh?
Make sure that you take off work and stay home when the maintenance guy (pudgy Mexican guy) and the assistant manager (chubby white girl) using the master keys to come into your apartment for a yearly survey. If for some reason that you can't stay home for the scheduled inspection of your apartment, get a friend over, or ... you'll be surprised at what they would do at your private place and what they would say about you, when nobody is around. So unprofessional! I have not seen these two people around for awhile, not sure what happened to them, either they quit or got fired, at about the same time. Thank God for that! At least those residents at Hampton Park don't have to deal with them any more! mmm Just not sure about those who replaced them! Don't you think that the survey should be done by 2 or more inspectors at a time; And they should be doing stuffs together at all time??? Not here! Not at Hampton Park!!! On the day of inspection, most of the time, ONE of them just comes into your apartment by him/herself! The management would choose the business hours on business days for the inspection: And we have to work our tail off to pay for the rent, right? So most apartments would be empty for him/her or them to do WHATEVER!
Take a close look at the price and the conditions of the place. This is not even close to a high end or luxurious apartment, and you have to pay that much from your hard-earn-money?
One and only one reason that I rented an apartment at Hampton Park, struggling financially and emotionally,, trying to make some sense out of the situation, was to be close by my work place, saving time and gas money on my daily commute. Too much for that!
What do you think? Is it worth it?
Or... NOT?
