I love my apartment and the location. I have a renovated apartment that is good, except for the most basic things that you expect with an apartment that tend to fall apart. My renovated apartment has a sliding closet doors that often come off of their hinges. Every towel rack that was applied in my bathroom has since come out of the wall as it was applied poorly. I haven't asked for maintenance to respond to any of these issues yet, as I have not been fond of the most recent management teams to take over the complex.
I, as well as many other residents, were signed onto their lease by the older management team run by Bob who was amazing, kind, understanding, and communicative during Covid.
Since his retirement the teams that have taken over have been outrageously uncommunicative to the tenants. To the extent of the members of the team posting false notices of eviction on to residence doors that have paid their rent accordingly, all stemmed by miscommunications from their management teams. We've gone through three different community leaders that I know of within the last year. Each one stepping into their position clueless as to where the last one left off with the residents.
The management this housing team has found within the last year have lacked every skill needed in management. They are abrasive with the tenants. Their methods of communication are community notices to our front door to alert us of items on our property that will be confiscated or are out of code. There are never any positive means of communication, questions by email often take a week or longer to get an answer, and the worst part is they are behaving this way while they are dealing with the livelihood of their tenants.
If you're looking at this property it is beautiful. My main issue is that we only have one dumpster space on this very large property and for my specific unit location it is extremely inconvenient. It appears to be nice while things tend to fall apart. And as of right now you can't depend on your leasing office to help you or be understanding.
I would say a change of management would help these issues however based off of the last three this seems to be a trend in the hiring of the overall housing organization that owns us now. read more
