After a somewhat disastrous stay at a hotel about 40 minutes away, I was looking for something affordable and available and the Hampton Inn popped up immediately. As a huge Hampton fan, I booked online immediately and within an hour, was checking into my spacious and clean room. From top to bottom, this hotel is well run. It was sold out the second night we were there but it was still running smoothly. Parking lot, lobby, halls, etc were all spotless. Staff was available at all times. Everything was so well maintained...nothing broken or anything like that. My room was spotless not to mention quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very civilized (if you stay at Hamptons, you know that some of the guests behave like they've never had a free breakfast before, lol) and there was a large selection of healthy options (fruit, yogurt, oatmeal) as well as the mandatory waffle station. I had a pumpkin spice waffle which was great! After leaving the prior hotel we'd been staying at 9:00 pm, anything would have been better but this place took it to the next level. If you're anywhere near White River Junction, this is a great place to stay! read more

We booked this Hampton Inn kind of last minute after switching from another place, and honestly I was glad we did. We got room 200 on the second floor and it was really clean, comfortable, and seemed well kept. The staff at the desk were super friendly and helpful, which made checking in easy. I used the laundry room during the stay -- it worked fine, but I wish the machines took cards instead of quarters (would make things easier). Breakfast in the morning was great with lots of options and everything looked fresh. I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns, but this one stood out a bit more. Service, service, service! I checked into hotel this afternoon as a rewards member. There were 5 cars in the lot which concerned me. I checked in with Logan( only know this by asking another employee as he was not wearing his badge). He checked me in with little dialogue and no mention of being a rewards member and no welcome gift. I then went to my room. I made reservations online for king bed and upon entering my room I had 2 queen beds. I then went back to desk and he told me I didn't without even looking. So I asked if he could switch me to king reservation and he briefly looked at computer screen and said "nope, nothing available". I said ok and went back to my room. I then went online and found many variations of king beds available for tonight. Logan sent an automated text I'm sure asking if everything was ok. I replied by saying no with my concerns and never heard back. I then went to dinner and came back and asked Logan why he just didn't do his job in the beginning and he said "I don't know". I'm a rewards member at Marriott as well. Maybe I should just delete the Hilton app as they don't seem to care about the customer. Less used rooms, less cleaning I suppose. read more

The check-in was effective. The room was clean. The breakfast was on average as expected.. However, we were very disappointed on our 2nd day of stay, because they forgot about housekeeping. When I asked the front desk about housekeeping around 5pm in the afternoon, I was simply told the cleaning crew forgot to clean our room, and they had left for home. So we had to stay in the uncleaned room. The front desk did agree to replace our dirty towels though...... In addition, the sound proof was poor. Arrived on a Sundaynight and the check-in was very effective, I received my keys within minutes and did not have to bother with credit card or id (it was reserved via my company's travel system). The room is a bit old fashioned but in a working condition. The fridge is noisy and so is the aircon/heater at times. The bathroom has some broken tiles here and there. Both room and bathroom is clean. My room has a tv, a microwave oven, a (noisy) small fridge, and a coffee machine (in the bathroom), a desk, a sofa, a chair and a king size bed. Lighting is not central but requires you to manually turn all of when you leave. There is a free wifi connection, but it is actually way slower than my 3G connection on my phone; most likely a way of forcing you to consider paying $5 per day for high-speed... The closet contained 6 hangers, not sufficient for a business traveller carrying shirts and pants for a week's usage. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, pancajes, youghurt, and various bread. Be careful when ordering wake-up calls, my colleague got at 5:30 am wake-up call he did not order. I guess someone else over slept... Overall this is not a bad inn but it ain't great either. read more

We had to transfer hotels due to a squeeling air conditioner that would not allow for sleep. Although this was annoying my real complaint comes as a result of the attitude of the hotel staff. When I brought the concern to his attention he relied "if someone doesnt like their room they have to stay in it and pay for it. Thats how we do it here". Noting his obvious disinterest in being helpful I asked to speak to a supervisor. He responded "shes not here." I ultimately called hiltons support line and they were able to transfer us to the hilton garden only 5 miles away. Bravo to hilton for supporting a customer with this transfer however this hampton inn has some work to do with work within the hospitality industry. I highly suggest some training and upheld expectations when it comes to customer service at this location. I do not expect every problem to be able to be solved but the approach, tact, and even just validation can go a long way and "just deal with it. Thats how we do it here" is hopefully not an image the hilton brand will tolerate. read more

Pretty much spot-on for the Hampton brand. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff is nice. Main lobby area very well kept. Location is great. Right by the 89 fwy so you can quickly get to wherever you're headed in the area -- 10 mins from Hanover, 7 from West Leb, 20 from Woodstock. This Hampton Inn is recently renovated. Check in was swift and the manager knew what she was doing. Housekeeping was a bit spotty as they did not come to replace supplies nor throw out trash until asked. Breakfast was decent and cookies were available during the early evening. read more

This hotel is such a disappointment. I've stayed at Hampton Inns for years because they've always been very good, but I'll now have to rethink when planning my trips. I was told at check-in that breakfast was from 6-10am. My husband and I went down at 9am. All the bins for breads, bagels, pastries, etc. were completely empty. The bacon was just barely cooked and sitting in 1/4 inch of grease. There was only skim milk for cereal. The bin for almonds to put on the oatmeal was empty. I could go on but you get the picture. There was staff member working in the breakfast area, but he wasn't restocking anything. Maybe she meant breakfast ended at 9am. The chair in our room looks comfortable but I can't sit in it (and I'm 5'8") because it's too deep and my feet don't touch the floor. I booked an ADA room. When I asked to see it, it turned out to be the room farthest away (literally) from the elevator. I went back to the desk and said I'd booked an ADA room because my husband was disabled and asked if she might be able to find a room somewhat closer to the elevator. She did. Parts of the lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. The good news is that the bed is very comfortable! So, very disappointing overall. We'll be here for several days, and will be sure to go down to breakfast tomorrow much earlier!!! read more

Proximity to Dartmouth counts for something right? I've stayed at this location several times and I always seemed to arrive after 10pm. And they have always had cookies. Fresh cookies. Cookies good after long drive. It's always been a clean and comfy stay. After 10, that's all I'm hoping for. And cookies. read more

This Hampton inn was quiet and clean. It's in a great location and the neighborhood was very safe. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative thing I found was that the gym was miserable, they only had dumbbells, so if your a weightlifter looking for a good pump find a local gym to visit. All in all I would highly recommend a stay at this Hampton inn. read more

I found the desk staff in White River Junction to be enormously friendly, welcoming, and helpful on my arrival. I waited for just a bit while the clerk assisted the couple before me, getting them directed to a local restaurant. It was about 8:30 at night, so they were pretty weary and hungry and the desk clerk's kindness was well appreciated. She got me set up and on my way to my room with that same efficiency and kindness. Oddly, the dresser drawers were all open when I arrived in the room. I have no idea whether that was supposed to invite me to use them, or if the housekeeping staff had neglected to close them after cleaning them. They had the best in-room amenity I've ever seen, though. A laptop tray, for setting my laptop computer on and protecting my legs from its heat, adorned one of the two double beds. That's brilliant. In my travels with a laptop, I've only rarely used it at a hotel room desk, and nearly always while stretched out on the bed. Bravo. The morning breakfast offered pre-made omelets, home fries, and waffles in addition to the usual baked goods, cereals, and fruits. It was a good start to the day. I'd stay here again. read more

I've become a fan of Hamptons. Every time I've had a chance to stay at one it's been a pleasant experience. White River is no different. We got in late... after midnight... but the person greeting us was alert and friendly. The room was nice as expected. Clean, good temperature, no smell (as I've experienced as some other Hamptons), and the bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently. I didn't get to try the breakfast but those don't usually blow me away... I choose Hampton because I know I'll have a clean and comfortable stay. read more

Positive: Reservations was simple, fast, and convenient via the app. Security and parking were great. Negative: The bed was horrible, hard as a rock & very uncomfortable. Had two nights of miserable sleep. The second night I was not able to sleep because the first night was so painful. We asked for foam pillows & did not receive. With allergies to feathered pillows, this is unacceptable. Had to lay on bed using towels as pillows. The refrigerator wasn't working properly; didn't keep things cold. We brought up the pillow issue with staff twice & was ignored because we were never given foam pillows. We asked to move to a room that was more comfortable; told all beds are the same. When we arrived Friday night, there was a large crowd in the dining area adjacent front desk celebrating. We could not speak to front desk without yelling. The hotel needs to be revamped. The front foyer and front desk should have no interference with interacting with guests. We will not stay here again; certainly will not recommend the hotel due to the beds, aging hotel with desperate need for update. Front desk Friday night told us full breakfast in the AM. Breakfast was horrible & not a full breakfast. Omelet with cheese? The sausages and egg tasted as if they were out of a box. The waffle machine kept burning. There was hardly a selection for breads and bagels. It was a pathetic selection of horribly tasting food. We left went elsewhere for breakfast. Such a shame for Hilton to back this hotel where it lacks in several key areas. read more

This inn is very conveniently located in White River Junction, right off the highway, making it a perfect overnight stop for Hanover or Vermont. The staff was very friendly, and I got to a free drink and snack of my choice for free as I arrived. The wifi is also free, but a little slow. There are however no dinner options in walking distance from the hotel. Most restaurants can only be accessed by car, so my only dinner option was to order pizza. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. I slept really well on the very comfortable bed. There were outlets right on the bedside table, which was very convenient. Breakfast was okay. They have a standard choice of bread, cereals and hot dishes. But you only have plastic dishes and paper cup, which I thought was a little strange. You are expected to just throw everything in the trashcan as you leave the lounge. Overall, a nice inn! read more

One of the nicer Hampton inns I've stayed at. Must have been recently remodeled. Room was clean, modern and bed was comfortable. Easy access to the highways and attractions. The only thing I didn't like about this location is that the breakfast was not hot, more like warm to cold. You will also have to go to Lebanon, NH to find a place to eat. Nearest to hotel is with Dunkin Donuts or mcDonalds. I would stay here again. read more

I am giving this place 2 stars. It is a clean and efficient place to stay no frills with an indoor pool for my child. The issue is that the price point is way too high for 2 drawbacks. 1- no onsite restaurant or one within walking distance. 2- when my hairdryer stopped working, I was told by the front desk that they have no extra hairdryers. Seriously! I am not someone who is that vain but if I am paying over $300 for the night I expect better and I deserve better as a consumer. This is my second time staying here and I refuse to stay here again. Next year, I will find an alternative to my yearly Vermont trek. read more

Returned here this past week for a few days while working in the area. The staff, as always, was friendly and helpful, the location was super convenient for finding food and getting to work each day. My only complaint was that the outlets were all out of reach! I ended up rearranging the room and taking the desk lamp over to the bed side table and plugged that in behind the bed (which I had to move) so that I could work on the couch and the bed if I so chose. read more

Staying in room 302. I travel 50% of the time and am currently a Gold Honors member and a few stays away from Diamond. I have quite a bit of experience with Hilton properties. This is a let down. All of the following complaints are absolutely "First World Problems." First, my cell phone would not connect to the WiFi which has never had an issue at other Hilton properties (my tablet and laptop connected without a problem). Ok, then the bathroom. The tub has visible stains in the bottom. After taking a shower I found out why, those spot leave standing water. The sink's stopper is set too low, so when I brushed my teeth, it would not drain...all of the toothpaste foam stayed in the sink. The towels were small and OLD. The bed was BAD, I mean BAD. I woke up multiple times through the night with a back ache (to the point I was standing up and stretching...and dreading getting back into it). I type this review now wondering if I should sleep on the couch with my legs hanging over it. I highly recommend trying the Holiday Express next door...it looks REALLY nice!! read more

Dirty towels, hairs in bathroom, used bed sheets.. When we walked in I saw Front desk lady , who is so friendly. So I thought " yep , we're gonna love it as always (we love hampton inn)". But in our room, bed sheets and pillow cases all cringled and looked so "used". We were so tired and dont want to wait to house keeping to change the sheets so we change the room. But the same problem. Pillows are not clean and also towels looks so bas. And when I decided to take a bath I saw all the hair on curtain and walls. Yuck.. I gave two star because front desk is so kind and friendly. read more
