Though it would've been nice to have had a view of the Green, the quiet midweek view of Main St was nice. The room was west-facing, so the sun shone in during the afternoons. No matter the setting, the a/c never quite got the room cool; it was a bit warm during the overnight, even after removing the unnecessary blanket from the bed. A few minor housekeeping issues in the room were quickly taken of after a quick call to reception, though turndown wasn't offered until the final night (didn't realize it was even available -- be sure to ask if that's important to you)! The slippers were nice and plush, and bathrobes (didn't use, see temperature note, above) were also available. There was a convenient bedside iHome wireless charger/digital alarm clock; unfortunately, it failed to charge my phone one night. Coffee was available in the lobby hallway every morning, and in the afternoon/evening, cookies!. A Lavazza pod coffeemaker was in the room along with a couple of tea bags as well, but no kettle. The onsite Pine Restaurant was quite popular. Note that folks eat early here; the restaurant was quiet by 8:30 pm (maybe also because it was midweek in summer). The bar area was quite spacious, though, and outdoor seating was available. Easy walk through town, to the Co-op (there was a small drawer refrigerator in the room), for retail shopping, and visiting the Dartmouth College campus (don't miss the Hood Art Museum, open Wed-Sat). Some restaurants in Hanover were also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and mobile phone service was sparse in town. The free Advance Transit bus service made for easy visits to the King Arthur Bakery & Cafe and for a talk at the Lebanon Opera House.

We had a HUGE room complete with sitting area, large windows and a spacious adjoining bathroom. The rest of the main building consisted of a large entry room, receiving room with lots of Vermont products for sale, kitchen, dining, game room, and a larger family type room. The whole house was surrounded by deep wrap around porches. There is also a cottage with two additional guest quarters, barns, a screened gazebo, a swimming pond full of frogs, horses, and some additional outbuildings. The property backs up to Quechee Gorge. Breakfast was different and very tasty each day. The first day was a spinach and egg dish, served with granola, fruit, coffee and yogurt. The second day was stuffed baked french toast with the same accompaniments. The innkeeper made reservations for us for dinner the second night we were there, just another great touch. The decor of the rooms was a little more modern than most B&Bs and I rather enjoyed it. Our room was outfitted with two nice leather chairs with ottomans, a substantial king sized bed with white, red and black linens, and some interesting artwork (little pewter and copper figurines on a shelf, etc). Such a nice time, I think we will splurge next summer at full price to get a weekend away here.

Well we were so pleasantly surprised!Our stay was amazing. Tina makes her gorgeous farmhouse open and welcome to you instantly. She is friendly and helpful as well as very knowledgable about the area. The room we stayed in was comfortable and had all the amenities of a hotel plus more! We could come and go as we pleased. Best of all were her delicious homemade breakfast, made with love you could taste! At the end of the trip we felt like we had spent the weekend with family. We will be returning soon!

The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and very modern and nice. There's a small outside seating area for our room too. Common areas are very well kept. Breakfasts were excellent, with pancake, omelet, and other options, fresh cooked to order every morning. Shout out to the pancakes which are out of this world. This is a wonderful B&B. You don't have the tavern, restaurant, and spa that you would have at the Woodstock Inn, but you do have the much larger room. It's the difference between a B&B and an inn. Had I been a younger lass, not as sick, or feeling up for a mostly likely haunted adventure, I would have stayed at the other "hotel." Instead, I high tailed it to this wonderful Residence Inn. I was greeted by friendly staff and made to feel so welcomed and comfortable here. If I come back to this area, the Residence Inn will be the only place I stay. The bathrooms are all very small, and our shower was barely large enough to turn around, forget bending over. Other rooms were even smaller. The bed was comfortable and the bedding of a nice quality. In summary, we had a nice time and enjoyed the owners very much. I would return if the price point were more in line with the size of the room and bathroom. My expectations for this price are simply higher than the room delivered.

Kristy made the most delicious breakfasts every morning- a veggie quiche, pumpkin pancakes and was sensitive to me being vegetarian. They also baked the most amazing afternoon goodies, we definitely enjoyed the macarons! Dan was super generous and even offered to share some of his precious heady topper beer with us, they are so kind! They have the cutest common room and dining room and lounge chairs facing the tranquil creek behind. They also pointed me out to a nice easy 30 minute running path across the river. Quiet at night and just a 10 min drive to town. Made our leaf peeping trip perfect.

Within walking distance to many attractions and shopping. Clean and the communal areas were very cute and matched online pictures exactly. My only qualm is that this is a very old house and you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms which was very unpleasant especially if you are in a downstairs room. Floors creaking, beds squeaking, music, conversations, etc. I would recommend bringing headphones and not coming here with children unless you can rent all the rooms for your group or you might have some explaining to do in regards to the sounds coming from other rooms... This is my first BnB experience so maybe this is the norm but I was not prepared for it. As far as I can tell there aren't any enforced quiet hours here. Shampoo/conditioner provided - no body soap. Hairdryer, iron, and hangers available in room. Extra blankets in room. Fridge available for guest storage. Ability to use microwave in kitchen. Parking lot in the back, parking included in stay. We ended up reserving the only room which does not have an en suite bathroom for $100/night, which includes a very tasty continental breakfast. (The bathroom for the Monk room where we stayed is just across the hallway.) The breakfast included delicious spiced oatmeal with a variety of add-ons (walnuts, chopped apples, honey, real maple syrup). Also available were hard boiled eggs, great coffee, a variety of teas, excellent bread and jams, bananas, apples, oranges, homemade pumpkin bread, Greek yogurt, granola. I peeked into a couple of the other rooms which were not currently rented and they all seem to be spacious and nicely decorated. Right now I am hanging out in the comfy shared living room space after wearing myself out XC skiing at the Woodstock Nordic Center this morning - only about a mile away. A variety of restaurants are within walking distance. And a bonus for us: There is an EV charger about a 2 minute walk away.
