River Roost is just a brewing facility with a tasting room, so there is no food provided or for sale. However, the place is across the parking lot from Big Fatty's Barbecue for some amazing, out of this world barbecue, Mac & Cheese, and the like. And you can bring it here to munch out while savoring the many beers on draft. And since it's not a restaurants, Fido is welcome. The owner was the attendant on that day and he was quite affable and also knew his beers like the back of his hand. I tried a "Mas Verde" IPA and it was absolutely delicious. Overall a superb time with wonderful people and great beer and superb food from across the street.... The only warning about the area is the parking situation. As the area (which used to be a blighted warehouse and industrial area) has become gentrified and dotted with apartments, the nearby Northern Stage Theatre, and numerous restaurants, parking has become an issue and customers should either arrive early or realize they may have to park several blocks away. But that only shows just how popular this area has become and part of it is River Roost's doing. Great place!!!!!

The food seemed quite fresh and the ingredients felt healthier than eating bacon and eggs at a greasy spoon, so I'll take it!

Slightly more than your typical, run-of-the-mill rest stop, the Vietnam Era Veterans Center is…read morelocated on Route 89 North and has your standard bathrooms, vending machines, and pamphlets that any welcome center/rest stop would have. There is also the added benefit for people interested in history or the military in that it honors the Vermonters who served and lost their lives in the Vietnam War. There is a memorial that lists all of their names, and includes some additional information about that time. Additionally, there is a greenhouse garden you can walk through (although just as a heads up, it smells pretty rough in there since you're in a greenhouse. If you've ever been in one before, you'll know what I'm talking about). Overall, it is a very pretty location and there are some benches and Adirondack chairs to sit on outside for when the weather is nice. My family would stop there every year on our way up to Stowe, VT and chose that stop over others because of the Vietnam memorial since my dad served at that time. Worth a stop if you're traveling through that area!

He really knew the town. The car was clean and he drove smoothly and safely and got us to the airport at the perfect time. We also really appreciated him wearing a mask during the ride since we have immunocompromised family. Would use again!
