Everything about this hotel was unforgettable and it is probably my favorite hotel stay ever. The food was amazing. Breakfast was included and everything was cooked in house with really delicious and unique options like rosemary potatoes, high quality yogurt, and homemade jams. It all felt very homemade - because it was! The dining room was adorable and matched the rest of the property, which is filled with antiques. There are antiques everywhere in the hallways and the rooms carry that same vintage feel, which makes it really fun just to walk around and explore. There is also a library room with a pool table that feels like the cutest vintage lounge space. The pool area was amazing with a large hot tub, a nice pool, and a sauna. At night they have fire pits and complimentary s'mores packs so you can go outside and roast marshmallows. There are also games to borrow, a bar, river access, and so much more. A truly wonderful stay.

Beds are super comfy, decor is adorable, there's Vermont coffee and filtered water available all day long and staff is sweet and kind. Rooms on the River side are quiet with pretty, tranquil views and sliders that are screened and allow the fresh Vermont air to lull you to sleep. The on-site restaurant 506 Bistro serves up pretty decent fare (including Maine mussels and fries for a mere $18) and you can sit at the bar and chat with other guests while Ryan or David provide you with stellar service. The clientele here has a nice, friendly vibe that isn't so abundant at some other hotels in town. HIGHLY recommend!!

Lots and lots of history here !! I also learned that for here, the "first floor" means one flight up from the lobby, and the "first floor" is NOT on the ground floor nor where the lobby is. Learn something new everyday. In fact, this inn does not appear to have rooms on the ground floor or where the lobby is, but if they do, I just don't know where that would be. The dining room, kitchen and bar appear to be what exists on the main floor. Regardless of all that, our room upstairs was beautifully appointed and spacious, and our king-size bed with its fluffy pillows was so inviting and comfortable. It was beautiful !! We slept so very well. I wish we had booked for more than one night. Our room rate included a warm-cooked breakfast the next morning. For an additional fee, we ate our dinner at the Vic Tavern, as well. (Those will be reviewed under the Vic Tavern.) The owners were very nice and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed speaking with them and staying at their inn. We'd come back here in a heartbeat, so if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Vermont, we'd easily return to Woodstock and this lovely B&B.

It was quite expensive for what you get. We had room 2 which has its own private deck and living area. Really enjoyed the deck. The biggest issue was the bathroom was tiny. My wife found it impossible to shave in the shower and the sink was so small I couldn't fill a water bottle, even if tilted. The road noise might annoy some people as well.

Our suite was incredible, with a two-person sauna that we used every single day. The bed was super comfortable, and the entire inn was beautifully designed with so many thoughtful details throughout. Location is just on the outskirts of town, which is a perfect walk to dinner. The room is large with a sitting area and - believe it or not - a small in-room sauna. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and very modern and nice. There's a small outside seating area for our room too. Common areas are very well kept. Breakfasts were excellent, with pancake, omelet, and other options, fresh cooked to order every morning. Shout out to the pancakes which are out of this world. This is a wonderful B&B. You don't have the tavern, restaurant, and spa that you would have at the Woodstock Inn, but you do have the much larger room. It's the difference between a B&B and an inn. You will not regret staying here.

Additionally, you will be charged immediately. I tried to call the inn directly, but a third party I contacted offered no assistance other than stating they would "expedite the request." VISITORS BE WARNED…read more The Bed and Breakfast is under new management. They have done away with the two-course breakfast the inn is known for and replaced it with a continental breakfast that is a poorer offering than what you will get from Hampton Inn. There is now fruit, yogurt, granola, stale pastries, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee/tea only. The communication refers to the continental breakfast as an "enhancement" when in fact it is a replacement. They are not honoring what you have booked, offering only $15 per day in return. Our breakfast out, while delicious, cost $60. The new management should have been transparent in their communication, honored what guests had booked for at least 90 days after takeover, and given notice to folks here that have booked so they could have an opportunity to make a change, if desired. When I asked for a real solution, the new manager stated only that I was "talking in circles" making me into the problem instead of taking real accountability for the misinformation they've delivered to customers. I haven't gotten away with my husband since 2021. This has left a negative stain on our getaway.

I did not request a handicap room but definitely got one. Bathroom had huge door opening and lots of grab bars. I'm thinking the minimal furniture choice may have been on purpose to provide space for wheel chairs. We stayed two nights and did not get room cleaning. If anyone is staying above you, expect to hear every step they take. Pros: They do have a little fridge if you need to keep something cold. There is a little coffee and water station room by the office. If it had been cold outside, this would not be a fun morning adventure. The bed was comfortable. The fire pit out back along the river was nice. Very conveniently located, walking distance to downtown. If I stayed here again, I would choose upstairs river view. Costs more but probably worth it.

The hotel is a glorified motel with a nice backyard. Which by the way, we didn't even get to see. We had a view of the parking lot with zero privacy. Nobody even instructed us how to find the yard. We had to search for it. Second, two different people walked into our hotel room with keys. Thank goodness we were just sitting on the couch, but an hour after we checked in someone came in and an hour before we checked out someone came in. That is so unacceptable it's shocking. Third, when we tried to check in they had no idea how much I owed and talked to me about someone else's credit card info. I had to tell them what I owed. We gave them a card and instead they charged the one on file for incidentals. Not only did they hold money on the wrong card, but they did it three times! So instead of $100 hold on the wrong card, we had $300 on the wrong card. The room is about as basic as a room could possibly be. No perks and barely even any art or anything. The room has a paper thin blanket on it and the wall ac/heating unit smells like fire when it's working and is very loud. The bathroom is so stark white and boring with a giant crack in the wall. Had we paid $100-$200 for this night we'd let this all go, but we paid $420 for this absolute scam of a hotel. Not to mention, the hotel is under construction and remodeling so there are workers everywhere and every room is open and being worked on. If you want a peaceful trip to Woodstock, pick a different location. If we weren't only staying one night, we would have asked for a refund on night two and left. The only two pros: 1. It's walking distance from the cute city. 2. The people working are very kind and friendly, albeit unhelpful.
