Hotel The Hampton Inn in Jasper has been around for a long time. It is a solid 3-star hotel within the Hilton family of hotels. The folks working here are exceptionally nice and helpful. The hotel overall is somewhat dated and is in need of a facelift. The room was the standard Hampton Inn room: bed / bath, TV and a refrigerator and a desk area to work at, if needed. Room was in good shape. Bed was comfy enough and the heat worked. Hot water took a little bit of time to get going and on the last day, the water suddenly lost pressure and dribbled out of the shower - thankfully I was just finished or I would have not been a happy camper. Bath sink was draining extremely slow so I mentioned it to the front desk and by the time I returned to the room that afternoon the problem was completely solved. Very good response on that. They have a free breakfast bar in the mornings and although it is nothing gourmet, it will get you up and going without adding to the cost of your trip. The front desk also have Grab-n-go breakfast bags in the event you are in a hurry to get to where you are going Overall a solid place to stay if in the area. Plenty of parking available. read more

Disclaimer: This this rating is for the car chargers they claim to have on site. I did not stay at the hotel. If I could give zero stars I would. There are only two chargers available at this site, and neither of them work. One is completely broken and missing the piece that actually plugs into your car. The other one just won't turn on. They should be removed from Google. If you're in this area and need a fast charger, you're going to have to go all the way to the Huck's gas station in Washington, Indiana. I was lucky enough to have enough charge to get over there. And I'm grateful that I bought a Tesla adapter for my Volvo EV. read more

This might be the nicest Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in! A relatively new build Hampton in the middle of nowhere (close to Holiday World though!) and perfectly maintained, clean and quiet. There's not much around except a great German restaurant next door but it's a great choice if you happen to be looking for a hotel in the area. read more

Perfect place to stay when visiting Holiday World & Splashin Safari. Incredibly clean rooms, quiet location and easy check in process. One plus about the bathroom- there's a nightlight under the sink and it's just the right amount of light. Beds are comfortable too! Easy walking distance from downtown and right next door to the Schnitzelbank. read more

Hampton never lets me down! We came here after checking in a not so great hotel, and it was so different and lovely. It smelled fresh and clean, the staff was kind, and the bed was so comfty. Breakfast was good - obviously not restaurant level, but yummy. The oatmeal bar was fantastic! How anyone could give this place any less than 5 stars, I don't know. read more

We recently found ourselves traveling to the Jasper, Indiana area due to a family emergency and needed a place to stay at the last minute. Fortunately, we found this Hampton Inn property located in the heart of Jasper. With our last minute booking through the Hilton App we were limited to a room with two queen beds. However, the room was clean and very comfortable for our needs. We completed the check in process through the app and requested a digital key which worked flawlessly. We were able to park in a reserved spot for Diamond loyalty members and enter a side door and go directly to our room. There was a large family reunion group at the hotel during our stay but our room was quiet and peaceful. We did not utilize the breakfast service but they do offer hot coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day just like Hampton Inn always did pre-covid. That was a nice benefit to have back. The Hotel is centrally located in Jasper and you can be to the Jasper Memorial Hospital in six minutes and many restaurants and stores in equal time from the Hotel. My only interaction with the staff was during check out since I always review my guest-folio before departing the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely book future stays at this property. read more

The Hampton Inn has been remodeled and refreshed. Post COVID, I'm happy to report that breakfast is back on and social distancing is encouraged. Cleanliness is a priority in the breakfast area. The ladies monitoring the area when I was there were quick to clean and sanitize. It's certainly a step up from the continental breakfast that we were subject to years past, but I think there's room for improvement. The meats and potatoes on the hot bar portion were delicious, but the eggs are obviously a convenient egg type product. Maybe we can just let those go. The oatmeal was watery. I totally understand stretching product, but I'd rather see the fake egg dollar go to a proper oatmeal consistency. When I checked in, a young gentleman was training with a seasoned staff person. She was kind and thorough, but aware and respectful of my time. I appreciated her gentle guiding hand with the new employee. They offer a variety of cold beverages, including beer, snacks, candies, and even hearty foods at the front desk bodega area. The prices aren't even obnoxious. I bought bottled water at $2 and I treated a guest to a beer that was less than $3. The room was fresh and clean. Sheets crisp. A small wadded up piece of plastic trash was overlooked in the desk chair, but shame on the previous guest for tucking a wrapper just inside the cushion. I noticed it immediately upon pulling the chair out, but I can see how easily it was overlooked. The proximity to the adjacent restaurant is nice, but there is little accommodation between the two. Despite being owned by the same company - you can't have the hotel get you a table at the restaurant, nor can you charge your meals to your room. A non-issue, but good information to have. read more

Well, I didn't expect one of the nicest HI's I've ever stayed at to be in Jasper Indiana but here we are, people. Some of the less-than-good reviews appear to be prior to their renovation, totally understandable. My room was freshly remodeled, spotless,smelled delightfully clean (when was the last time you had that experience?) and was very quiet. I think if you stay on a summer weekend you'll get the amusement park leisure crowd (read: loud ass kids) so YMMV. Breakfast was free and just fine, wifi is free and worked and I slept like the dead. Jasper's probably not on anyone's hot list but if you're in the area this is a great stay. Plus there's a German place called the Schnitzelbank next door!! Alles gute! read more

Solid Hampton which is my go to brand when traveling. Love their beds and pillows always feel refreshed and rested. This location is going a great job with Covid mitigation in all aspects from room cleaning, breakfast area during service as well as other common areas. They are next to a super traditional German restaurant which is convenient when drinking that German beer and need a shirt stumble back to you hotel! read more

Well I have been to better Hampton Inns but this is serviceable. They are bunking a lot of guests for Holiday World and (I believe) this is the closest Hilton property to Santa Claus, IN. The staff was exceptionally nice here. I really don't like how some of the remodeling of the Hampton lobbies has taken a "modern" touch. They kind of remind me of a Vegas ultra lounge with weird shaped chairs, community tables, and low slung couches. Functionality for the continental breakfast area should be the name of the game for a hotel that supplies Holiday World. I didn't see anyone sipping appletinis in the lobby in the evening so the interior design is lost on me. Other minor complaint is this property seems like it was built on a postage stamp. The parking lot is very small and there is one elevator. Seemed like we were playing Dodge'm with housekeeping in a race to the only elevator and the area was cramped around 830am moving linens and whatnot. I would stay here again but would probably find something additional to complain about. read more

Stayed here for a business meeting. The rooms were very clean, updated and typical of the Hilton chain. What set this one apart is it's location to the Riverwalk in Jasper. If you want to enjoy a little relaxation or a run while on business, I highly recommend. read more

What a wonderful experience! This hotel is spotless and the staff could not have been nicer, very accommodating!

First off, we come here about 2 weeks a year for business reasons. Out of all the hotels in Jasper, IN.. this is the best one to stay at! This town is small and does not have 4 & 5 star hotels. If you can try to book Room 132. This is a high vaulted ceiling room (Yes, high vaulted ceiling in a Hotel?!). This is a King room suite with a whirlpool. It is the nicest room in the hotel!! (and probably the nicest out of any hotels in Jasper). Paula is the BEST on nights. You may see her in the evenings offering delicious cookies or checking guests in. In the three years I have been to this hotel, she has always been nice and friendly. Breakfast is free and is so-so. I am a Chicago native so I am probably pickier than others. Most people enjoy the breakfast though! Pros: - Good Cookies - Room 132 ceilings and space! - Nice staff - breakfast and desk - Paula (She's a gem) - Staff try to accommodate your preferences noted on your Hilton account Cons: - Dated rooms and has not had the upgrades that have been rolled out in big cities - Lots of people staying = parking in the far back of the hotel (close spaces taken) - The hotel ONLY HAS 12 king beds.... so BOOK AHEAD and make sure you have a guaranteed bed type read more

Good option in Jasper. I'm not really sure what the other options are but it was a nice hotel. The beds were really nice and comfortable. I only stayed here one night and it was a very brief stay but they have a nice staff and continental breakfast. I didn't try it out but I did see an indoor pool. read more

If one find themselves in the area for work this is an A-OK place to stay. The staff is very friendly and the room was cleaned well daily. Breakfast was included daily with several coffee selections. One person in my group of 15 missed the van to our conference and someone from the hotel drove her 15 minutes to the conference location. Also, it's in prime location to a classic German restaurant with excellent food. This was an unplanned trip due to our fathers passing. My sister and I had been staying with family friends but really wanted our last night to ourselves so we decided to stay in a hotel. My sister is a Hilton Honors Member and this had good reviews. When she went inside to check-in, she was greeted by the manager on duty, Andy. As she was checking in, he asked her if she wanted to see his "special stash" (now remember, we had a very difficult day) and of course she asked "your special stash?" And he said "yes, but you can't tell anyone about it because it's a secret!" She's thinking he has a basket of candy or microwave popcorn or something, he pulls a little black paper mustache out from under his watch and holds it under his nose and says "see...my secret stash." She laughed so hard. She proceeded to tell me about it and I laughed too. He happened to be there the next morning when we came down for breakfast (which was pretty good and I really enjoyed the western omelette), and I asked if I could see his secret stash. He realized he lost it and couldn't find it. He found us eating our breakfast and said he found his secret stash and showed it to me. I laughed so hard. The bed was soft, construction is still going on, coffee was good and breakfast was hot there was a sympathy card waiting in the room for us. My father was notorious for making puns and there were quite a few throughout the hotel. This, however, is not why our stay was so memorable, it was because of Andy, his humor and personality. There is something to be said about small town America and the people who live there. We needed this comedic relief, our dad was a funny man who LOVED a good joke and he would've loved Andy. If you stay for nothing else, stay just to meet Andy and ask to see his "special stash". read more

While the rooms were clean, the front desk/ service was not good. When we brought back the luggage rack they told us, "oh, that goes over by the elevator." (They wanted us to put it away as well) Later when we were leaving, we asked to use a luggage cart after looking by the elevator for it and it wasn't there. They told us, "oh well, someone must have it in their room." No one even offered to help us find one. I would think they have more than one luggage cart and if not they would be a little more helpful to their guests. read more

For a chain hotel in a very small town I was pleasantly and completely surprised. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, clean and do not smell (important!). The beds are the most comfortable that I have slept in, in a hotel. The water pressure in the shower was perfect and the bathroom was very clean. Let me tell you about the Hampton Inn in Jasper... I travel for work constantly, about three weeks out of the month. Unfortunately I only come to Jasper once or twice a year, but I love this place. The Hampton Inn here is so clean and nice, the staff is always really friendly, and they go the extra mile to make people feel at home. I came back to my room today after about 12 hours of work to find that the housekeeper must have noticed my crochet stuff on the night stand, because she made me a cozy little pillow nest where I could sit back comfortably on the bed. I have never had that kind of caring, personalized service. I will definitely come back here whenever I'm in town. The German restaurant next door is awesome as well. read more

Every year I take mine granddaughters to Holiday World and we stay at this Hampton and eat at the Schntzelbank. We always have a very enjoyable weekend. This past weekend was our trip and our Saturday night stay was a disaster! We were on the third floor and the other rooms had guests that had attended a wedding. And boy oh boy were they drunk, loud, obnoxious, rude and slamming the door everytime that left or entered a room. I asked several time that they calm down and PLEASE don't slam the door. This went on until 3 am and I have to say the girls were worse than the guys and these fine people were old enough to know better. BUT through the persistence of our SUPER HERO PAUL, who after 3 try got them under control. They were even in the lobby making noise. He had his hands full but managed the situation with class and style. The staff here is the best I have encountered and I have stayed at some really nice places including the Waldorf in NYC. Recommend it highly! 5 Star all the way. Then even mailed my granddaughters necklace that she left! Awesome! read more

5 stars!! I've been many 4 stars or 5 stars hotels in cities and have never been as satisfied as this time here at Hampton Inn. Everyone who works at Hampton was so nice and helpful. I even got help to scrape ices from my car windows. My room was clean and organized. Also,They offer breakfast from 6-10am(which is longer than most hotels) and it was pretty good. I would definitely going to stay at Hampton Inn again when I visit Jasper. read more

What a nice place to stay. The workers are very friendly and the service was excellent! The rooms were very clean, the pool area with the hot tub was nice and the breakfast buffet was really good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We have stayed at more expensive hotels that weren't even close to the quality of the Hampton Inn.
