    Double Queen Handicap Accessible Room
    Kristen M.

We stayed for seven nights at this location and were overall very pleased. The GM and ladies at the front desk were the highlight of our stay as they were always friendly and extremely helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable and they offered a microwave and small refrigerator (which came in handy). Most nights were pretty quiet and we were able to get uninterrupted sleep. The breakfast was slightly varied each day and offered a good deal of options. There was always tea, coffee and lemon ice water available in the lobby. Slightly negative notes were that two nights our towels were not replaced and the indoor pool was in need of a good clean (green algae (?) growing on the sides and bottom). Despite those issues I'd recommend staying there to anyone. The employees are super friendly and the room was comfortable.

The area by the hotel! Lots of rolling fields and hills :)

My family and I recently visited this area to go to Holiday World, and we decided to stay the night here. We loved it! Front desk lady was very courteous and friendly, she didn't mind us asking for extra pillows or towels at all! She made us feel welcome, and so did the rest of the staff. Breakfast was amazing and free!! Lots and lots of options, just make sure you get to breakfast early to get first pick! They had 3 waffle makers as well, we loved that :) My brother and I visited the indoor pool, very clean and we enjoyed the small workout room as well. This hotel's location is not only perfect because of its scenic views (see pictures!) but it is conveniently located close to multiple restaurants, so we didn't have to go far for dinner! (Taco Bell, Subway, Chinese food, Wendy's, McDonald's, etc.) Room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, it felt like a 5 star hotel! Only thing I would say is if you get a room close to the elevator (such as the handicap-accessible one we had) you may hear the elevator working at night! But it's not too disturbing. Also what i would make sure you keep note of is, since this 3-story hotel is north of the interstate, it is on the EASTERN time zone (EST) which is one hour ahead of Holiday World. But there are signs inside the hotel everywhere to remind you of that! A+, we will be back next year!

It is so amazing, the beds r so soft and the pool is nice. The fitness area is great and the arcade is pretty cool. The room is very big, it has a lot of space. The breakfast is awesome and u can get lemonade anytime all day. Definitely recommend

The rooms are the best maintained I've in town across several work trips, the front desk, attendees are polite, helpful, and courteous, and it's located right in the middle of everything. It offers a large waiting pool, hot breakfast, and clean eggs, biscuits, sausage, waffles, and all the rest, and fresh, hot coffee, and cookies at the front are a nice touch. The downsides of noticed are that the sheets and beds, well comfortable pillow tops, seem to likely be synthetic and have me feeling confusingly, sweaty even with the air conditioner turned on, and the fitness room is long overdue for some very basic maintenance: the cable machine only has one side that works because the adjustment is broken on the other, and the weight bench adjustment knob has fallen off, keeping it flat and making a lot of exercise exercises not possible. Nonetheless, the pool is quite nice and large, and two treadmills, and elliptical, and a peloton spin bike are available.

Hotel The Hampton…read moreInn in Jasper has been around for a long time. It is a solid 3-star hotel within the Hilton family of hotels. The folks working here are exceptionally nice and helpful. The hotel overall is somewhat dated and is in need of a facelift. The room was the standard Hampton Inn room: bed / bath, TV and a refrigerator and a desk area to work at, if needed. Room was in good shape. Bed was comfy enough and the heat worked. Hot water took a little bit of time to get going and on the last day, the water suddenly lost pressure and dribbled out of the shower - thankfully I was just finished or I would have not been a happy camper. Bath sink was draining extremely slow so I mentioned it to the front desk and by the time I returned to the room that afternoon the problem was completely solved. Very good response on that. They have a free breakfast bar in the mornings and although it is nothing gourmet, it will get you up and going without adding to the cost of your trip. The front desk also have Grab-n-go breakfast bags in the event you are in a hurry to get to where you are going Overall a solid place to stay if in the area. Plenty of parking available.

It seems like it was updated within the last couple of years, with a nice, comfortable bed, and furnishings mostly in good condition. On my criticisms, I am *really* nitpicking here: The only downside, which I noted was mentioned in another review from a few months ago was that cleanliness could've been a tiny bit better. Nothing that gave me the "ick" but the shower definitely needed to have the caulking stripped out and replaced because there was some mildew under it, in spite of it appearing to have been cleaned pretty well otherwise with no water spots and everything wiped down aside from a few tiny spots in corners. The air conditioner was also a bit noisier than it should've been, with a slightly slow sink. To summarize: felt pretty darn, clean and well-maintained, but fell just short of being "five stars" at this price level. My room had a absolutely gorgeous view of the river, and the hotel itself is located within a few minutes of the town center, and a number of restaurants here and within 15 minutes at the next town over.

Plenty of places to walk to around the hotel and we had a great time exploring the area. The parking was confusing for us and we ended up parking further away, only later finding the correct parking lot when walking around. The rooms were clean and the only issue we came across was the lack of USB charging ports. There weren't any plugs at the nightstand at least. Oh and breakfast was great! Lot of options. Definitely would stay again though if I was in the area.

I REALLY wanted to leave a 5 star review for this place because not only is it a really cool idea,…read moreand a really neat set up, but we were greeted very warmly and genuinely on arriving. Again, we arrived in the off-season, so that may have something to do with it... Place has a lot of issues that could be improved upon. First off I'm going to list some positive things about it. The overall look of the place is really cool. Very homey and rustic, just what you would expect from a place called Santas Lodge. The Christmas theme here is consistent without being Kitch. During the holiday season it is undoubtedly when this place really shines. Additionally, we were here in April for the eclipse, and unlike every other hotel in the area, these guys did not price gouge on the rates. The staff iwas overall friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also better than expected. The website had it listed as "continental" which usually means a bunch of stale danishes and toast. His breakfast however was considerably better, with a waffle maker, and a hot bar featuring biscuits and gravy , eggs and sausages. The downsides here were that although the rooms were clean, the beds or not the most comfortable. Additionally, on our final day here as we were preparing to leave, the elevator was broken, forcing us to log all our stuff by hand downstairs to load the car. Additionally lack of planning meant that they ran out of orange and apple juice. Not a big deal for me but it was for my kid. Also, the toaster and waffle maker could not be run at the same time or they were short out the breaker on the cheap power strip they were both plugged into. Seriously guys, spend more than five bucks on one and you'll be OK. All in all, would I stay here again? Yes I would. In spite of the few issues that we encountered, it is good value for money and if you are into Christmas themed stuff it's definitely a destination for the holidays.

CAVEAT EMPTOR Hello…read moretraveler. Yes you the person reading this. Have you ever wanted to spend 500+ dollars on a room with no microwave. No mini-fridge. disgustingly stained bedding A ceiling covered in cobwebs, and an AC that hasn't seen maintenance in at least 5 years? Then I can genuinely say that Santa's Lodge is for you. I genuinely don't know where the nerve to call this place a resort comes from so i won't be including that descriptor.. I've stayed in red roof ins. Hotel motels, but Santas Lodge is easily the worst room I've seen for what you're paying. I will be going far far away from this place and recommend any person to do the same. these people do not care about the property, let alone your business or comfort. Is it close to Holiday world? Yes, that's probably the nicest thing I can say about it. But so are the Cottages and those at least have clean rooms. Lesson, Do not trust any review without photos. See photos below in case you think there's exaggeration.

This message shows all…read morethe things that was considered a con (in my opinion) When me and my family walked into the hotel lobby, we were immediately hit with a smell that was not extremely unpleasant, but it was still considered bad. When we arrived at the front desk, there was nobody there. We then waited 30 seconds, and then an employee came to the front. For about 5 seconds, he just stared at us, and then proceeded to walk away. It was very rude in my opinion. We then realized that there was a phone on our left with a sign saying "dial 0 to get front desk help" so we called it. We immediately heard a loud ringtone sound, and it was coming from a phone not even 4 feet away from us behind the counter. We then got assistance. Once we got our keycard, we then went into the elevator. The second we stepped in, we realized there wasn't much room, and it was extremely hot. We didn't mind it that much. When we arrived on our floor and walked down the hall to our room, while we passed by the other rooms, you could hear conversations clearly. Once we got in, we were shocked by the setup when you first walk in, having the sink being right on your right completely separated from the other bathroom appliances. When I walked into the bathroom, I saw on the shower curtain it was pretty dusty and dirty. When we walked in and saw our beds, we realized the pillows were extremely small. One of the lights was also burned out. One of my family members found a couple black hairs still on the pillow from the previous people. The TV was not a flatscreen like the one at home, and the model was very old. When we turned it on by pressing a button on the side, we tried to then access regular streaming services like Netflix, and Disney+ but Netflix never worked. On the Disney+ app, we were able to get on 1 episode of bluey, but then it completely stopped working halfway through. We decided to go to bed with our tiny pillows, and the air conditioner was creaking and randomly blasting big puffs of air, which made a pretty loud sound for 10:45 PM. I slept in the bed on the far right when you walk in, and chose to sleep on the right side of that bed (closest to the window). I would not recommend sleeping in the same spot I did, because the curtains don't cover the whole window and you will get waken up by 7:30 AM, while your family still sleeps. I am writing this at 7:45 AM currently, telling you what had happened in only 10 hours of our trip.

So when I saw there was a Baymont ten minutes from Holiday World, I booked it over the newer Holiday Inn Express in Jasper. Mind you, Holiday Inn was priced the same as Baymont. The experience was very disappointing. - Condition of the property overall was a bit dated. The location of the hotel is on a dead-end cul de sac surrounded by a couple abandoned buildings. I supposed the owners can't control that... it was just a run-down neighborhood. - I booked a King Deluxe room. Immediately upon entering the room, we were hit with the powerful smell of... I guess cheap cleaning supplies? We couldn't put our finger on it. So I went back to the desk and asked for another room. They offered me a comparable one that I went and checked out... same smell. So we cut our losses and stayed put. My partner thought the smell was like mold/wet basement. I couldn't put my finger on the scent... but it was not right. - The room... one of the three fixtures on the vanity was permanently broken. The duvet had had some orange/brown stains, I found two long pieces of women's hair that were not ours. There were condensation ring stains on the coffee table, the tub had these black stains by the drain, and the window opened, but there was no screen (we were on the third floor... extremely unsafe if there was a child). - Saturday evening we came back from Holiday World. Our keys worked for entry to the side door. However, neither key worked on our room. I go to the front desk... no one there... there's a sign to dial 0 for assistance. A man answers and tells me he'll be right there. I wait 4-5 minutes... call again... same man acts confused.... Shows up a minute later, carrying a plate of food and eating. - The continental breakfast was very poor. In comparison to other Baymont properties, this was a sad display... wet powdered eggs, grayish sausage links. Smushed hash browns. Mind you, the breakfast opens at 6:30. I arrived at 7:03 am Saturday morning, and all the hot food was gone... I only know the condition of the food b/c I went back Sunday morning to scope the spread. Unfortunately, we did not feel this meal was satisfactory or what we expected for what we paid. So we paid to eat at Denny's down the street. This Baymont property is nowhere near brand standards. It is not professionally maintained or cleaned. For the price, you can stay at much nicer properties 20 minutes away in Jasper. We'll be doing that next year... overall this was a very disappointing experience. For reference, I like to post when we have positive experiences at hotels/restaurants. But I think folks should really know what's going on at this property before they make the investment. And if you're trying to save a buck, there are much nicer places in the area at the same price point.
